Buy them. Initially, I ordered these shoe at size 11 (I'm typically between a size 11 & 11.5) and had to return them because they were much too large. I went to the local mall, tried a pair of size 10s on and returned to Zappos to make a second order. If you order these shoes, please order a full size smaller or you'll be wasting your time. I purchased these boots for a motorcycles riding class that required over-the-ankle boots and they were a perfect match, and they have a semi-casual look that you can pull off in a business-casual workplace. The soles of the shoe are a little soft, which is nice for a quiet stride in hallways, etc. but they may need to be replaced sometime down the road. One more note: These boots are not necessarily work boots - more like light-work boots. I like them.

Great Timberland Boots - These are very comfortable, well built, great looking boots built with a bit of social consciousness in mind. I ordered a half size smaller based on other reviews and it was right on. In other words, they run big. All in all a great boot and worth the price.

Another great pair to add to the collection - The boots are slightly darker than pictured. There's a small bit of stitching on the inside of the tongue that scratches my skin if I'm not wearing long socks. Besides that, these serve its purpose in function and fashion.

Nice! This is a nice new take on a traditional work boot look. This boot has a wide comfortable last that may be a bit roomy for a narrower foot. The darker greasy brown leather was my favorite color. The boot fits large. I sized down a full size. I wear an 11 Nike running shoe and bought this boot in a 10 after trying them on locally. The boot is pretty light weight and the sole is thinner than a traditional work boot.

The boots are extremely comfortable; however the leather quality is not as I had hoped. The shoes wrinkle and scuff easily. For the price I had purchased it for, I expected the leather to be better.

Not as durable as I had expected. Tongue came unstitched within 3 months, and after 1 year the soul began making a popping noise. There are no visual defects in the soul, but as you walk it makes a very loud popping noise with each and every step. It's loud enough for people around you to stop and take notice. I expected more from Timberland and my money.

These shoes took a little getting used to after putting them on when I bought them the first time. I actually bought these due to them being 'waterproof'. It was to an extent but when the water went past the toe, that was the end of it. My feet got wet. Just a heads up for those looking for waterproof boots, these aren’t them.

A Nice Boot But Not As Advertised - I am a boot person--always in search of the "perfect" boot (I probably have 6+ pairs). The Timberland Earthkeepers (dark brown) is a good looking, comfortable boot that can be worn even with fairly dressy clothes. However, to get a good fit, I had to order a 10 rather than my normal 10.5 and wonder now if a 9.5 would have been even better. Also, the medium is rather wide and requires a heavy sock. My main complaint is that the boot is not waterproof as advertised. After less than 30" in the rain, the top of my sock was damp. This is very disappointing.

I've been wearing the Earthkeepers for the last eight years non-stop. They're extremely sturdy. I've literally worn every single pair through the sole (which takes about 2 years and I wear them five days a week) and I've never had a single issue with separation or stitching. I always have a replacement pair under my bed ready to go once my current pair reaches their end. They look dope with casual wear and are also easily dressed up with a button-down shirt. I get compliments in the crosswalk with this pair once a week. I only wish they sold more pairs in the lighter brown just so I had a little variety. Love these though and they look good as they age and become more rugged. My favorite Timberland boot by far.

Very cool, stylish boot. Overall it's a great shoe so far, only worn them a couple times since I got them for Christmas. A little concerned though for the maintenance of the boot, the leather is prone to scuff which can be kind of annoying. Also I've read that some Earthkeepers tend to fall apart (stitching /soles detaching). So i'll be quick to update my review once I've properly worn them in. :)

This is my second pair of these boots. I wear them for work and they are great. They are very comfortable but aren't too heavy like most men's boots. They keep my feet warm but not too warm. All around a great boot.

I bought these boots back in 2009 and have worn them almost every fall, winter and rainy day since then. I had to re-sole them back in 2014 because the tread had worn flat, but the leather has held up fatastically. I love the way they look (they're the perfect blend of the hipster/trendy look and "I'm gonna go cut down a tree" look) and wouldn't have dreamed they'd last me this long. Timberland, if you wanted me to buy another pair then you shouldn't have made them so well.

So this was my first pair of Timberlands. I had heard the brand was known for their good quality so I gave them a go. I'm normally a size 9US, but was recommended to go a size down. Size 8US fits me fine. Really impressed with how comfortable they are. Even on the first try on they felt great. No need for a break in. They feel really solid, but light at the same time. When you forget you have anything on your feet, you know it's a quality shoe / boot. I'd recommend them to anyone after a solid ankle boot. Yes they are pricey, but hey you get what you pay for here. Acknowledging that I've only worn them half a dozen times, I have to say I love these boots. I've been looking for quite some time to find a replacement for my old Doc Martens, which I loved and lasted forever, but were always a bit too narrow for my foot. Between my wide feet and the orthotics I have to wear due to fallen arches, finding a comfortable, good-looking, durable boot is like chasing the holy grail. However, this boot accommodated the orthotics without having to pull out the sole cushion and the width is spot on (wide size). They are comfortable, feel great and look great. As of now, I couldn't be happier. Time will tell as far as durability and quality, but no complaints from me so far.

Extremely comfortable, great for long mellow walks. Sole is too soft for real hiking or to be used as a real work boot thought. Size is defitely too large. I wear a men's 12 and the 11 fits me perfectly. Also, I have very narrow feet. I had to put the insole from an old shoe in as a space filler. It worked easily and well. My only complaint is that I wish it were a bit more stable. Still, it is very well made and extremely comfortable. I would happily purchase this shoe again.

Great comfortable boot. Little thinner sole so it wears more like a shoe which I like. Needed no break in period. I usually wear a 13 but a 12 is perfect for me.

Finally, a good looking boot for those guys blessed with big feet. My teenaged son (size 14 W) wore these boots every day during a mild Minnesota winter and as long as his feet don't grow up a size, he'll be able to put these back on come fall. Rugged and stylish. Love the Tims.

I got these boots for my hard to fit son (size 14W). He absolutely loves them! They are comfortable, durable (rugged teen/mild Minnesota winter) and stylish. I had to pry off his feet for lighter warm-weather shoes. If his feet do not grow over the summer, these will be on at the first sign of fall weather.

Love these boots! This is my second pair; had the first pair re-soled, but finally the stitching is going. Bought those right when they came out...think it's been 3 years of near-daily wear. Have a wide forefoot, so the width judgment is right for me.

Buy a half size smaller, warm, dry, comfortable from the first wear. There are no "new shoe blues" with these.

Great boot built with quality, soft leather. The size runs large. I wear a 10 to 10.5, but needed a size 9 with these. Looked forward to wearing these for a long time as construction is excellent as well.

The boots are great. Light weight and very comfortable. But, they run really big, at least a full size, maybe a size and a half. I had to send mine back, however, Zappos made the process really easy.

Loved the boot. Ordered wide because my husband has wide feet but unfortunately the wides weren't very wide - they felt like normal width.

Very nice boot. Has a nice looking profile, even in my large size (15). Still breaking my pair in, but they promise to be very comfortable.
