Wearing the Arizona - Cool and convenient

I don't know the techie terms to say about this excellent shoe, but I do love it! And I think it has helped my back. Hopefully, the more I wear them, the better it will be. I've often thought the pronation of my ankles/arches were the cause of my back/knee problems. So we will see. These shoes are great. I put them on out of the box and have worn them since. They feel a little strange, but nice and I will get used to them. My only complaint is this is the nly color they come in! BIRKENSTOCK: Please make more and in different colors!

I believe that these sandals will be OK. The straps run a little big and I have had to put in extra holes. The verdict is still out on whether I will find these sandals as comfortable as I would like.

My job requires me to be constantly walking for about six hours a day. We have no strict dress code and I was often wearing flip-flops to work. Needless to say, at the end of the day my feet were miserable and so was I. I absolutely had zero intention of wearing closed shoes in the Tallahassee heat, but I definitely needed support for my high arches. I found all that and more in these Birkenstocks. I wear them all day long and I feel almost no discomfort at the end of the day. It did take me a bit to get used to the weight of the shoe, and I sometimes feel that the straps could be a bit more snug (and my feet are not narrow in any way) but it is not a deal breaker by any means. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and I would highly recommend these shoes.

These shoes are pretty comfortable. I ordered the high arch because I have a lot of foot problems and I was hoping the arch would give the support I needed. While they do help, it doesn't correct my excessive pronation as much as other shoes such as my orthopedic flip flops.

These are great. It is so hard to find sandals with arch support. I marked these down only because they don't come in anything but suede. I would buy more if they had other options. Some birks don't have long enough straps to go over my foot but these I wear on the smallest buckle holes. Plenty of room.

These are my old favorites and I was due for a new pair. I had never gotten high arch but these are much wider than the regular medium width that I always wear. I must have about 15 pairs of size 42 medium Birks but this style is significantly bigger. Order narrow if you usually wear medium.

As I have aged, my feet have flattened. I used to have very high arches. Since I was a boy, it has been my practice to shed my socks and shoes as soon and often as possible once the winter chill is gone. I live in the city now and discovered the Arizona High Arch Birkenstock a few years ago. These are great if you walk a great deal and need arch support - as I do - and are no longer able to walk barefoot, with or without socks. Because my feet have flattened so much, I had to have a cobbler punch in one more set of holes for the buckles, so the sandals fit snugly. These are great sandals that last a few seasons if properly cared for.

I just received my pair of Birks and I'm not very happy. I got my usual size of shoes and they are waaay too big for me. My feet don't stay in the shoe when I try to walk. Returning them soon and getting a smaller size, and probably a different style as well. I thought I would need the high arches but they are much higher than I thought they would be.

I find that Birkenstock does not have very good quality control. The texture of this pair is different from the previous pair I was replacing.

Prettier, please. I need the high arch support of this sandal but it just looks so college boy. Please, at least bring back the high arch Florida... and spoil us with two color choices? Black, and tan?

This shoe is okay. I liked the arch support and ordered a 37. It was a tad bit long and had to have more holes put in the straps. I wear a 6 WW and while this shoe was wide enough it was a tad bit long. Also it is not flattering on a wide foot. I kept it because of the arch support and will wear in when I just want something to slip on and off. Am not as impressed with this line as most seem to be. The women's shoes are not as wide as the unisex shoes, and therefore do not work for me.

Was sent Arizona sandal with the original footbed, not the high arch support as ordered. An earlier reviewer had the same problem thru multiple orders. As they said, I don't think Zappos has them anymore as it appears Birkenstock no longer makes them. Zappos, please update your website - very annoying to be sent the wrong item

Be careful if you order these - the shoes delivered to me were not the high arch version so back they went. The high arch version has an orange/red imprint on the footbed rather than the typical yellow, blue, or black.

Don’t order these, because Zappos does not actually have them. If you do order these high-arch ones like I did, they will instead send you a regular low-arch sandal. This happened to me twice. The first time, they assured me they would send out the right product, then sent the wrong product AGAIN. Now they’re saying they don’t have it. I know the difference because I already have a pair of regular-arch Arizonas. Also, the ones I was sent (both times) do not have the orange text on the foot bed as shown in the stock photo, but rather the standard brown test.

Birkenstock Arizonas never disappoints! These were perfect. I purchased the taupe suede as a gift for my daughter. She loves the look, quality, and comfort.

This is a very nice Birkenstock sandal, however it is not a high arch sandal as other reviewers have commented. The high arch has been discontinued for quite some time. This is a bummer for those of us who have high arches and plantar fasciitis. So, if you like the looks of the sandal and like the traditional firm Birkenstock footbed, this is for you.

This is the first pair of Birkenstocks I’ve owned. I have high arches and foot pain and needed a different shoe to help. I didn’t know Birkenstock made a pair of shoes specifically for high arches (sadly as I write this I realize I bought the last pair and I think they are discontinued?). Has great arch support but slightly lacking for me, my arches are quite high, but they are comfortable and the suede straps are soft. Someday when these need repair I can probably request more arch support so maybe that’s why this line was discontinued? Also I’ve always had kinda skinny feet and the narrows fit perfect.

I was skeptical about these as I had a pair years ago (no high arch) that never felt right. I have skinny / flat feet. These sandals fit perfect, the high arch does the job.

These sandals are amazing. After weeks of exchanges to find the right size, the 35 Narrow is perfect (I'm normally a wide 6.5 in womens)! NOTE: For the Arizona style only, I strongly recommend ordering Narrow even if you have wide feet! I could only find the 35 Narrow in this particular style - the high arch - and while I do have relatively flat feet, I don't have plantar fasciitis so I wasn't sure how they'd fit/feel. But WOW, they are extremely comfortable and cute enough to wear with any outfit. I want to order another pair for my mom.

I bought these for my brother who has extremely high arches. They run big. He is usually an 8/8.5, but he ended up wearing a 6 in these. I would recommend trying them on somewhere else before buying. He is very happy with them, and I am now thinking about getting a pair for myself.
