How do I love these shoes? It's impossible to explain just how perfect these sandals are. First they're Birkenstocks, which means they're orthopedically sound as I've been told by my Podiatrist because they have a firm sole and proper foot support, most especially the deep heel cup that keeps your foot from sliding around. Second this model is the only one with a high arch support for the instep. I have been undervaluing good arch support most of my life, but with these shoes on my feet don't hurt at all. Even when standing on them for hours. They've also corrected my knees and back alignment so they no longer hurt as well. The best part about these shoes are they're in regular width, which you can't get anywhere else, not even from Birkenstock directly. How Zappos had them in stock in my size I'll never know, but I couldn't be more grateful. Sooo comfortable! I definitely recommend it, especially in soft footbed. Try to avoid water though, it can damage the cork portion of the sandal.

I have had foot problems off and on for 15 years. Although I would rather go barefoot, I cannot. These high arch Birkies are the best shoes/sandals I have ever had. They support so well. Foot pain is no longer my constant companion. I also ordered a narrow even though I'm usually a med. width. They are the greatest! Do wish they came in more colors, but I am so grateful I have sandals I can wear without foot pain.

Love my Birkenstocks. My feet can't live without them. Though this style is acceptable, I would really love to have the three strap version still available. My one quibble with this pair is that they run extra wide. I have the straps as tight as they'll go and they are still too loose, unheard of! I will be adding another hole to the straps. The lazy side of me wishes the straps where more rigid so I didn't have to work to get my feet into them.

I have never had the money to purchase a real pair of Birkenstocks before, but I really love these. The leather is a bit floppy and it makes it difficult to easily slip my feet into these, but the comfort and fit are second to none.

I love my Birks. I have problems with my feet, especially the arches, which have always been high. These shoes have built in supports in the sandal so I can wear open shoes. I have always had Birkenstocks, so I am glad they have shoes with built in support. Thanks!

It's a Birkenstock. In other words, it's wonderfully comfortable, infinitely adjustable, and horribly hideous. The high arch is a great option for more support; I just wish it were available in more colors and styles. Some of the patent Birko-whatevers aren't as ugly, so it would be great to have the high arch in a style that is more fun. I've had many sprained, broken toes and strained calves, and this shoe is always the first one I'm able to wear again.
