Just received these boots in the mail yesterday and they are simply fantastic. The fit is perfect, true to size (I wear 8.5), the craftsmanship and quality are exceptional and the leather is supple, rich, and just gorgeous. The boot fits over my calf perfectly (mine is a little over 14" in circumference). Not really any room to tuck in jeans but definitely work with leggings and similar bottoms. Another thing I like, and no offense is intended, is that they are not made in China, unlike many pleather boots you will find in a lot of shoe stores these days. Could not be any happier with these boots. Am planning on buying another pair in black (currently have brown).

These boots are fabulous! Great looking, warm, waterproof and high quality in appearance. For a 2" heel, they're comfortable, though not as comfortable as a lower heeled boot would be. The height is perfect for skirts and they go well with pants, too. This is my second pair of La Canadienne boots, and I will continue to buy boots made by this company. I have a narrow foot and these fit the best of any I've tried.

LOVE these boots! They are warm and fit perfectly compared to others that had a gap on my calves. Zappos' full list of measurements made shopping a lot easier since shoe stores didn't seem able to help me when I was asking for the circumference of the top of boots. These boots were a worthy splurge - my first pair of La Canadienne - and hopefully not my last!

Great boots! These boots look great! I haven't worn them too much yet (still too warm where I live), but am looking forward to wearing them with skirts and dresses.

Looks better than I expected - These are very nice boots, I can't wait to wear it with dress. The leather is very soft and smooth.

A Truly Well-Made Boot - This is my second pair of Jenny boots. La Canadienne cannot be beat in making a boot that looks good, feels good, and is made as consciously as a leather product can be (if you have those kind of concerns). I was having such a tough time finding a pair of boots that wouldn't cost $300, but I ended up just going for this boot because everything else I tried was inferior. I know the price makes you flinch, but the boot will make you smile for years to come.

Love the boot...very classic look but stylish and so comfortable - I wear them all day at work walking around a hospital. They were a little tight around my calf but that might be due to the lining which makes them really warm too. Only frustration was that the color started to fade the first day I wore them! Hope it doesn't "rub off" too much more; they already look old even though they are brand new.

I loved this shoe! I didn't have to break them in at all. I am on my feet all day at work and by the time I get off my feet are hurting. With these boots my feet don't ache no more. It is worth the money you pay for them.

Great all-around boot - Fits nicely, even on my painful bunion-y foot (I ordered 10W). The dark brown is a terrific color--so rich it'll work with black, too, if you're only buying one pair of boots this winter. Shaft fits well, too. I don't have large calves, and these look right--comfortable circumference but no bagginess or gaps.

I love La Canadienne boots. These boots are very comfortable for walking, they look professional at work or casual with jeans, and they are waterproof.

Great comfortable and stylish boot! I was amazed that I was able to immediately wear these boots right from the box. I wore these boots all day (and I have sensitive feet) and let me tell you, these were so comfortable to wear all day and evening. These are sexy AND comfortable! I agree with the reviewer who said that the detailing is not very visible on the black suede. However, they are a really great looking boot. I wore them right out of the box and had zero problems all day - and I am on my feet a lot! They are a little large on the ankle for me, but they fit my muscular calves perfectly! Got tons of compliments.

La Canadienne Jenny - As good as it gets. Beautiful leather, sleek look, warm, and comfortable the moment I put them on. Enough room in the toe box and the leather has stretched so that I can zipper up the boot around my chubby calves. I wish there were more arch support and more cushioning on the footbed, but I'm being picky. This is the best boot I've had and worth every penny.

Yummy - Really nice leather. Really comfortable. Toe is more square than I'd hoped.

Lynn - I'm very picky about shoes and have spent ages attempting to find the right long boot. Finally found it! It has all the criteria I was looking for - excellent quality, beautiful leather, perfect comfort (most important!), waterproof, and understated with a flattering square toe and stacked heel. This is the most I've spent on boots, but it's worth it to me for this kind of quality and expectation of years of wear.

Amazing - These are, far and away, the most comfortable pair of boots, right out of the box, I've ever tried. I could walk miles in these with absolutely no breaking in. They are very sleek and plain (no ornamentation), so a clean, modern look. Leather is very nice, smooth, and speaks of quality. The toe box is squared and very roomy. I have a high instep, and these feel fabulous. Highly recommend this boot.

Made for walking - I wore these boots all last winter. They are very comfortable, look great with pants or long skirts, hold up well in salted sidewalks, and kept my feet dry.

Toe box was very tight with thick socks on - width seems narrower than that of the typical 10M that i normally wear and the calf circumference measures at 15.5"(listed as 14" in item description). Too wide for my 14" calf circumference. Otherwise, classy, nice looking, well-made boot with the (what would have been ) perfect heel height for all-day wear.

The rubber heel pad came off one of my boots and I had my Husband glue it back on. The other rubber heel came off the other boot and I didn't notice it until I got home. I was wondering why I kept slipping. For what I paid for these boots it is really upsetting to have them fall apart.

Nice but it's a little snug in the calf and doesn't come up high enough. Too bad because I wear a narrow width shoe, and the foot part of this boot fits perfectly.

The quality of these boots is amazing! The leather is so buttery. The style is beautiful. The lower height of the boot was perfect for me because I'm shorter. The 7W fit my wide feet just perfectly. I'm heartbroken, then, that the shaft of the boot wasn't wide enough for my calf. So I would warn other buyers that the shaft is a bit narrow.

This style is much too blah for my taste - the square toe and clunky heel just do not do it for me. I am opting instead for the Cobb Hill Ashlyn.

Beautiful boots! I just returned the Kara boot because the heels felt too uncomfortable for me. These have a very comfortable 2" heel and I'm sure I could wear them for hours. I'm not crazy about the square toebox, but I can live with it.
