I found these had no arch support at all (maybe I have high arches?) but this was easily solved with a pair of insoles. They are now perfectly comfortable. They are beautiful looking boots.

I've been looking for a long time and these are great. I was able to get them in narrow. They are also narrower around the calf which is great! They actually fit without a gap. I really like the squared toe too. The heel is a great height for casual and dress.

As soon as I put these on they felt perfect on my feet but when I went to zip them up I realized they were way too tight in the calves. I almost sent them back but loved them so much invested in a $10 bottle of shoes stretching spray off of Amazon and managed to get them to fit my calves perfectly after a few tries. I wore them on a girls trip to Austin and they couldn't have been more comfortable. The only problem I had was the zipper on the right foot was digging into my ankle. I inserted a small piece of cardboard over my ankle bone and it took care of the problem. It might sound like these boots were a bit high maintenance at first, and they were, but I do not regret my purchase. They are super comfortable, water proof and the best part, they make my short legs look longer.

I usually wear a 7 1/2 W or WW. But, even the WW wasn't wide enough. Oddly, there was lots of room in front of my toes, almost to the point where I was tripping over the toe box. Sadly, I won't be able to keep these.

I usually take a size 9.5 but in this boot, actually everything by this brand, was too big. The size 9 was perfect! I have a wide foot but because the cut of the toe box is square the M width is also perfect. I believe the quality is excellent for the cost when compared to other brands of similar style. My only complaint is that there isn't much cushioning which I have become so used to but it was an easy fix with a gel insert.

I have been looking for a tall black dress boot for years, but with no success. I have a narrow heel and large calves. When I put my foot into this boot, it felt so comfortable! The square toe leaves lots of toe room, and the heel is a perfect height. Zipping the boot all the way up was very difficult at first, but after wearing them around my house several times, they became more comfortable. I ordered the medium width, and they are narrow enough for me. I highly recommend these very comfortable and attractive, waterproof boots!

These are very comfortable boots. Though I have just walked around the house with them. I was hoping shaft would not be too high (I am petite 5'1" tall) and they fit several inches below! Perfect! I love the sung fit around the calf, I have slim calves and fit again was perfect. Hope to wear them out soon when weather turns cold. I hope we get some cold weather soon in Los Angeles.

Are these expensive, yes. Are they worth it, YES. I was skeptical and am known as a "penny pincher", but I wanted great quality. They are true to size, but fit snug at the shaft/calf area, which I wanted for wearing with dresses or skirts. The comfort is divine. I can imagine walking all day in these. The lining is also very warm. I know I'll have these for years and therefore the price is an investment. Great purchase.

Love, love, love these boots. I have been looking for square toe books forever and found them. They look great and are super comfortable. Love them!

These boots are awesome! I was a little nervous about the price but well worth it! I am an 9N and have slender legs. The shoe fit perfectly and the boot hugged my leg without sloppiness. I like the square toe because it will be comfortable walking.

I'm a size 7, 5'4" weigh 134, normal calf size. Boots fit and are very comfortable-look great. Have not worn them in rain or snow yet but expect them to live up to their rep.

First of all, I really love the La Canadienne brand. Beautiful boots and quality. I wore my grey Mazy boots all last winter and can't wait to wear again. I am looking for a good low heeled walking boot this year for a trip to Europe in November. The Jenny would be perfect but it runs a little narrow in the instep. I have perfectly flat feet and can't take the risk of whether they will stretch out or not. Unfortunately, there is currently no wide available. I also tried the Passion, great boot, but too large in calf calf. The Jenny indicates 14.25 and Passion 14.5, but the latter seems much more roomy.

I love these boots. They fit well and look great with a lot of outfits (skirts, dresses, skinny jeans, etc.). They are simple, so they can go with a lot.

These boots were comfortable when I put them on and have become more comfortable with wear. However, because the bone on the top of my foot is high, my feet do feel a little cramped at the top by the end of the day.

These were beautiful, soft boots and looked very stylish. However, I could hardly get them zipped, and definitely could not fit skinny jeans in them if I tried. The foot bed fit great, so unfortunately I will need to return them for a boot with a wider calf.

Simply beautiful boots. I love the streamlined design and the slim fit. These boots look sleek worn with black leggings. A classic look like this will never go out of style. I can already tell I will wear these boots for years. Yes!

These are really great boots. I've spent a long time looking for solid black boots with some heel, hold closely to the ankle, squared toe (not pointy) and a bit of a heel. After a ridiculous amount of time looking, these boots fit the bill. If only they also came in brown!

I bought these boots for work as a flight attendant. I needed a plain black boot with no buckles, bells or whistles. I have bad feet (bunions, high arches) and I purchased the size 8 wide. They fit awesome and they are a great boot. I have very athletic calves and wasn't sure they'd zip, but they did. They've also stretched out nicely only after a few wears. Although very plain, they are comfortable, stylish and excellent quality. I'll be adding a thicker sock for winter wear as they are roomy in my footbed. I recently wore them out in Chicago (it was COLD) with my jeans tucked in and they looked great! Worth the money, IMO.

I love this boot! I've tried on many boots and never found one that fit my size 12 feet and still looked attractive. With this one, I've finally found it!

The style is beautiful but it is just toooo narrow around my calf. Too bad it is going back.

I bought these boots to wear on cold days in Chicago when I want to look professional. The shape of my feet is very rectangular, so I especially like the shape of these boots which don’t pinch my toes at all. Also, since I have relatively big feet (size 9) for a short person (5’3”), I appreciate the fact that there’s still no big ridge around the sole that would look clunky. The boot fits just right around my calf (14-1/2"). I haven’t worn them on really snowy or slushy days. I don’t feel like they give a lot of arch support, but they are comfortable enough to walk in. My shoe size varies slightly between 9 and 9-1/2 depending on the shoe. This boot fits well in 9-1/2M.

These boots are fantastic, and I would give them 6 stars if I could! The quality is absolutely beautiful and this purchase was definitely money well spent. With the classic styling and just enough heel, they will not go out of style for a long time. These boots look great with short skirts, long skirts and pants; they are dressy enough for work yet casual enough for the weekend. The sole is a non-bulky rubber material. They have been comfortable to wear walking all day on hard surfaces (mall, sidewalk). The leather is soft like velvet and the slight inner lining helps make these boots cozy, but definitely not too hot. In a day where quality and longevity matter, I believe pair of La Canadienne boots would be a welcome addition to anyone's closet.

When I purchased these boots I was trying to replace a well worn pair of black Franco Sarto boots that I loved. I wanted something simple but classy with a slim fit and a heel that was not too high. I have been very happy with this new purchase. The boots are good looking and I have worn them with skirts and jeans. They have been very comfortable from the first time I wore them. I am sure I will get lots of wear out of these boots.

The moment I slipped into these boots, I could feel a big happy smile spread across my face. The leather is unbelievably soft, and even with the heels it is by far the most comfortable boots my feet have ever experienced. I usually wear a size 7, and this pair was very much true to size. I have wide feet so I went with the EE for this pair, and it worked out perfectly. It is quite a bit more expensive than what I was planning to spend, but since I had the "this is it" moment, and they will be perfect to wear to work, I am going to splurge and keep them. They have made me very happy.
