These boots are fabulous. They make my legs look great in a skirt. One reason is because of the heel height, another is because the top part of the boot is fitted. So they do not look messy or wide. They are very nice boots! For days when I walk a lot in them I add some support inserts. They do have support and feel nice, but on long days I need more. They are warm and waterproof. I do not know about snow wearing, though. I do not get snow where I live. I wear an 8½ or a 9 depending on the brand and the shoe. Size 9 in these fits perfectly. I also have narrow feet and these seem perfect for narrow footed people.

Ordered these for a five-day meeting in Chicago (mid-November) knowing that I would have to walk 1.5 miles roundtrip every day from hotel to office. I am so tired of wearing dumpy clogs or sneakers with dress clothes just to walk out to lunch without breaking my neck in heels. I needed something comfy and dressy. These hit every mark. They felt tight at first (I thought they were too small) but my toes didn't hit the toe box so I knew they were just made with a snug fit that gives once broken in. Certainly not the same feel as a tennis shoe, but I was able to walk miles over the course of a week without any soreness, and they were dressy enough to wear with slacks and leggings/dresses. Was a little wary of the square toe (not really my style) but it's somehow not noticeable when they're on (see the video). Just an overall great boot, very versatile, and well worth the price.

I love this maker and these boots! I have a high arch and they felt tight at first but stretched out after wearing them around the house. They are my favorite shoes!

I have had two pairs of these boots (one in black and one in brown) for over four years and they are" wicked" comfortable and stylish. I have worn them throughout several winters and they are always warm. I am ordering a new pair in mocha (moca). La Cannadienne is my go to boot company. I have ten pairs of their boots in various styles, colors and heights.

I love these! They are super comfortable and stylish. I wish all of my shoes were this comfortable. My feet run wider - but not technically wide. Based on reviews I ordered wide. I am so happy that I did!

I discovered these boots 5-6 years ago and am now on my 6th pair. They are pretty much all I wear all winter long. I am on pair 6 because I have walked all over Paris and New York and Tokyo in these and have essentially worn off the soles. I wear them with compression socks since they fit snugly and the socks help in the extreme walking. I am always tempted to hoard this in fear that they might be discontinued. they are that good.

I have been going crazy trying to find my correct size in this boot since La Canadienne seems to have done something different in the construction. All of their boots are EXTREMELY narrow in the calf and the ankle area. I have never had a problem finding my size until this past year when I tried to order these in my size 8 M and found they felt two sizes too small ! Thank goodness for Zappos who carries the wide width. I had to downsize to 7 1/2 Wide because the 8 wide was too long! after all of the confusion, I finally found my right size. These boots are WONDERFUL in the rain and slush. You will be as dry as a bone! Love these!

I have been wearing these shoes solidly for almost four years. The soles are worn down, and the lining is a bit torn, but I just can't give them up. Fantastic quality, fit, and style. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

These shoes are comfortable and gorgeous. I have a very large arthritic foot and they feel like slippers.

This is the best shoe investment I've ever made. The boots are expensive, but if I broke it down over the number of days I've work them over the past 6-7 years, they're totally reasonable. Setting aside the money issue, the boots are very attractive, very comfortable, and very durable. I could not disagree more with the reviewer who said that they mark easily. I have the dark green version, and they have never gotten marks. And I am not careful about where I wear the boots. I've worn them through at least the past 6 winters, road salt and all, and though the color faded slightly, they are still beautiful.

Best money I have ever spent. Shoes are very comfortable and work well in snow.

This is my fifth pair of boots of the same exact style. I have them in brown, grey (which is not offered anymore) and this is my third black pair. They are the most comfortable shoes ever! I can wear them to work with dress up pants and they look dressy or with jeans for a casual look. I like that they have a small heel. I highly recommend!

Amazing boots! Comfortable right out of the box. Cute wedge style, nice suede. Have worn to walk through many winter downpours in Portland, Seattle, London - feet stayed warm and dry. Only thing to know is they're a little tight around the ankles if you're thick there - but I just don't zip all the way, and still work great. Love these boots!

I've had the black Felicia for 5 years. They are the BEST boot I have ever bought for winter. They stay dry, I never have to worry about going out into bad weather and snow and they always look great. I think it might be time to get another pair, the toe is looking a little worn. But there are so many styles to choose from, I would love to get several! Wonderfully comfortable, stylish and practical. You can't go wrong!

I'm a 9.5 so 10 is a delicious size when wearing boots with socks. These beauties are snug! Great boots but tight everywhere, even switching to thin socks; foot, ankle. Returning for new size.

This is my fourth pair of LA Canadienne boots. I have had my first pair for almost 10 years and they are still going strong! I cannot say enough about this amazing brand. These Felicia boots are perfect for everyday, they fit under straight or boot cut jeans but I can also tuck pants and leggings inside them. My three other pairs are mid calf boots, so I was looking for an ankle boot like this. Do not be put off by the high price: these boots will last forever, they are sleek and stylish but also very practical, and they will meet all your needs, doing the job of multiple pairs of boots all in one beautiful pair. They are waterproof, they are warm, they have great traction (during a terrible icy storm, everyone was slipping all around me and I was the only person on my feet in my ten year old boots), they match with everything, they look stylish and are flattering, and they will last forever. The only need they may not meet is if you need really dressy shoes. The fit is true to size. The ankle shaft is slim, but this makes them flattering. If they feel too tight to some people, know that they will soften and stretch, as I know from all my other pairs.

This is a very nice, comfortable. I like the fact that it comes up higher on the leg than a regular ankle boot. However, please note that it is very close fitting on the leg. It works well over leggings or under jeans. Runs true to size; I bought a 9 1/2 which is my regular size.

I love this boot. It runs small so I returned the 7.5 B exchanging it for an 8. As always la canadienne does not disappoint! This is my go to brand for great comfort and sturdy winter and all weather boots. Love the fact they are often water resistant yet stylish. Great value!

Wanted a low boot with a thick sole and a low heel height. It was a bonus that this is a waterproof boot. Living in Portland, OR, that comes in very handy. I got tired of a closet full of shoes that I could not wear for an all-day outing. These fit the bill. They are very comfortable. Right out of the box, I could shop all day in them. The square toe area, thick sole and cushioned insole make for great comfort! The style is nice, but not high fashion. The suede is a little stiff, I need to make sure my socks are above the top of the boot, or they are rough on my shins. The style is casual, but the suede dresses them up a bit. Just got them a week ago and have already worn them several times.

I love these boots so much I have purchased 4 pairs, just in case they stop making them. They are my go-to shoe with pants in the winter. I have walked 900,000 miles in them, through Paris, New York, Tokyo, Mexico City and they are still my favorite shoe. I wear them with compression socks and, be forewarned, if you do that on a plane, and don't take your shoes off, they are going to smell bad. Very very bad. So bad you will need to buy binchoton charcoal inserts to make that bad bad smell go away. And guess what? Even nasty and funky, I still love mine to bits.

This is a good looking boot and of course the La Canadienne quality is a plus. I really wanted it to work but, alas, have to return it. I have trouble with heels even this low. I took a gamble that with the long wedge it would be ok, but unfortunately not. Most people can handle a lot more heel than I can, but my forefoot isn't up to it. If yours is, you're in luck. This is a real nice boot.

First of all, Zappos is so great! I had to try on many boots to get one to fit my narrow heel and that was comfortable! This is pricey but a winner! I love that it's waterproof, comfortable and easy to wear with anything. Love the seaming and the squared off toe - thanks for your patience, Zappos! This brand La Canadienne is also a winner for me!

These are the nicest looking, most comfortable boots I have ever purchased . . . very well-made and of high quality. I have purchased two pairs; I love them so much.

I bought this boot about two years ago to add to my other La Canadienne styles & have since bought others..My boot size in general is 7M unless they run big I need 6.5. The 7M was fine - then. This past winter I decided to purchase in brown & grey as well so I can always wear them with anything, Yes, they are that comfortable! They look great on & the fit was perfect, in the sense that it was slim at the ankles, like there was a shape to it. Some ankle boots go straight up but this one has a "figure" like a woman. Anyway, I took the same size 7 M & they were tiny! Not only very tight at the toes and foot width-wise, but the length seemed too short as well! What happened? Did La Canadienne change their measurements or what?! I didn't think about ordering it in a wide, or maybe it wasn't available I don't remember, but I went to a size 7.5M & it fit fine. Maybe a tiny drop longer than needed but not enough that I should say this doesn't work & that gave me enough in the width as well. Therefore, I would recommend definitely to size up a 1/2 size at least & if you need room for a thick sock go for a wide. Don't worry what the label says! Each shoe runs differently & I have found myself needing a shoe in a wide sometimes & my foot is not. So no big deal. It was just curious since my size didn't change in other La Canadienne styles only the Felicia. Suede as always here is super soft & smooth, waterproof yes! And as comfortable as you'd ever want a boot to be. Although it's a small heel it is not an old lady style. Very attractive. Love all the colors. Black is deep & rich; brown as well, like chocolatey, & the grey is beautiful, not ultra dark, but sort of a medium grey. I also saw the taupe color, which I didn't keep it was almost a brown but didn't have the "life," & the "smoke" color was between brown & dark grey; I didn't find these two colors as vibrant as the brown nor as nice as the grey. It's a warm boot & keeps your foot cozy warm but there is no fur lining inside.

Great boots! I was looking for something I could wear everyday, stylish, and weather resistant--meets all those needs. They were a bit snug at first. Now they feel like they are "hugging" rather than "squeezing". I still sometimes unzip them though. I thought about returning the size 7 (my usual) for a 7.5; however they were out of stock at the time and I decided the smaller size was more appropriate to allow for stretching. I don't know if the larger size would have worked better or not. In any case, I'm pleased with them and am wearing them almost every day!
