I love this brand because their boots have great arch support, are warm and water-resistant, excellent for Chicago winters (the Sloan is my favorite). However, some of their boots feel heavy, and that was the case here. I need an all-day boot that won't weigh down my feet and ankles within an hour or so. I wish they offered more choices in brown.

These are nice shoes. They are a beautiful neutral slightly green-grey color with dark stitching. I am a slightly narrow 7, and the 7½ seemed to be the right size. The toes are roomy, but the ankle is very narrow, and somewhat constricting because of the style. The band does not allow for much flex. I have a short waterproof bootie pair of Eccos, and these are heavier so they probably would not be as comfortable to wear walking all day, although they would probably be warmer since they come up higher.

A little narrow, did not zip up all the way - Found these to be a touch narrow. I usually wear an 8, but based on your helpful comments, I ordered 8.5 and they fit perfectly lengthwise. They did not zip up all the way over my fat ankles (a problem I've had with all La Canadienne boots and other ankle boots, too). They're quite good looking for a winter-proof boot. I ordered these and the Naot Cruise at the same time because I needed to choose a good walking boot for a winter trip to northern Europe. I expected to like the Felicia better, but the Cruise turned out to be perfect - Zappos says the Cruise runs narrow, but Felicia is even narrower - so Felicia goes back to her happy Zappos home.

Felicia is growing on me - I have average width feet, but HUGE "cankles" (no real ankles - just fat calves all the way down). I ordered my normal size 8. I can't zip up all the way (no big deal with pants), yet the foot portion seems to be stretching a LOT. I feel like I might need to add an insert of some sort. I wore these (new) all around NYC in the rain, and my feet did stay warm, dry, and comfortable. (I don't know if exposing them to the rain made them grow more??). The sole is comfortable, but don't expect extra squishy softness - Firm, with a slight "give;" no real arch support. The square toe and wedge heel do look dumpy, but therein lies the comfort. For my purposes, these are great for days when you know you'll be walking a lot, or traipsing through winter mucky parking lots and sidewalks. They're SLIGHTLY more fashionable than a typical snow boot.

Nice Boot - This is a very rich, quality boot. It's warm and cozy inside. I wear with jeans so, for whatever reason, I have to wear them unzipped about half-way (can't see it under the jeans). Jury is still out if I can wear these boots walking around all day. They are a little heavy. Nevertheless, worth the $.

Hmm... let me get back to you - I have not had the opportunity to wear these yet, but they were actually a bit narrow, so I exchanged for a wide. A bit disappointed with the comfort because I thought they would be amazingly comfortable out of the box, they are not. For the quality and the price I expected more. I've gotten so I only keep shoes that I don't feel like I need to "break 'em in". For some reason I'm willing to chance that these will be comfy after a day or two. So, for now, I'm only giving these a 4 overall. As for Zappos, as always, you are amazing!

This boot seems good (functional, pretty cute, warm), but I found it to be far too loose around my ankle. It fit fine around my narrow feet. I do have particularly narrow ankles, but it was not even close, which surprised me because of other reviews saying how tight it was in the ankle.

This shoe fits very tight, the toe length was great, I ordered a wide size and the toe width was great, but the ankle, the area over the arch and the heel box were really squeezing my feet hard. I think if I order them bigger the length will be too long.

VERY comfortable boot, but also very warm, even hot... best for really cold weather even though it looks fashionable enough to wear anytime.

Extremely disappointed, I bought these boots in December 2010 and after 3 months of wearing them on and off, I was surprised to see two big holes in both soles of the boots, with both heels worn down unevenly, so bad that there was no way a cobbler could fix them. I was wow, that's very fast wear for me. The brand advertises durable TPR rubber outsole? That's such nonsense!

I really wanted to love these boots, but they are so very narrow even in the wide width and I don't have extremely wide feet. I found them extremely tight in the heal. I sadly will be returning.

This is a great boot! I have "problem" feet (i.e. surgery, broken bones in the past), and it's really hard to find boots that are stylish and comfortable. La Canadienne boots are fantastic and, unlike most brands, these come in a wide size. (I have a moderately wide foot, and the wide version is perfect for me.) These boots were comfortable from the first time I wore them. The suede is soft, the footbed is well-cushioned, and the heel is high enough to give me some extra height but not too high. They are very attractive and stylish and look great with pant legs tucked in or over the boot. They are also quite warm, which is not great for me since I live in Atlanta, but at least they aren't fur-lined. I highly recommend them!

These are hands down the most comfortable shoes, not just boots, that I've ever owned. It is well made and so versatile- it goes well with jeans, legging, and skirts. I'm planning to buy a second pair this season.

I adore these boots. I have a pair of La Canadienne Passion tall boots which I love, but wanted a shorter pair for "spring" business trips to Chicago and even in Dallas. These are ideal. I always wear a 9.5M but received a 10M which fit perfectly. Received them recently and immediately wore them for a week long business trip to Chicago, walked all over in Chicago's changing weather, as well as in the stuffy office. These boots are incredibly comfortable, great support, never hot in the office but warm and toasty outside. I wore them with tights and dresses and they really flatter the leg. They have a bit of heel but I walked for miles in these boots with no problem (I do not like heels). I will enjoy these for years! I highly recommend.

These boots are awesome! They are the best boots that I have ever purchased. Very comfortable and worth the price.

Ok, so this is the second pair of these same shoes I've purchased. The first pair I had for two years, wore them nearly every day in the fall and winter and they have stood up to the test! And I live in Seattle. Waterproof - check, comfortable - check, my feet don't smell - even after sweating and wearing them all day for months - double check. Simply the best pair of boots I've owned. I had to throw the first pair away because I wore them so much I eventually started getting cracks in the soles. Then searched for another boot that would even come close, and there isn't; so I bought them again. Perfect casual to work dress boot.

These boots are fantastic--stylish but offering sure footing and waterproof! I take an 8 or 81/2 and found I needed the larger size.

I love the fit with La Canadienne Felicia's carefully crafted sole that supports my feet that are fairly flat. With the close fitting upper boot, I look very stylish. Who would know that they are vegan and washable! I plan to buy more styles in this line.

These are lovely shoes but I just didn't find them comfortable for my feet. They hurt in the heel and do not have any arch support so they did not work for my sensitive feet. Too bad because they are great looking.

This was my first purchase from La Canadienne. I bought the boots in black and loved them from the moment I put them on. The fit was perfect. After a couple of weeks, a staple or pin of some kind began pushing up through the inside right heel. Zappos was wonderful as always in sending me out a new pair immediately. I am just thrilled with the comfort and style. My favorite features are the ankle hugging shaft and the way the sole wraps up the back of the heel. A super terrific boot!

I am very particular about shoe/boot comfort. This is my third pair of La Canadienne boots and they are all worth the the money. I can walk anywhere, have them on all day and still get an added 2 inches of height. The cut is better for narrow ankles. This particular style, though, does run a half size small. The 7, which is my true size and the size of my other boots, had to go back for a 7 1/2. Unfortunately, there were no more left in moka anywhere so I ordered the black. Hope to find a moka in 7 1/2 soon.

I really love these boots. La Canadienne never disappoints. The rubber sole makes them even more comfortable. I have had other suede boots from La Canadienne and they last forever. Cute style too.

I love these boots! They are rainproof, keep my feet cozy and warm (sometimes too warm). With a suede brush or a fingernail, they are easy to keep looking new. The fit is comfortable -- there was no breaking in period (be sure to order a size that feels pretty comfortable already -- if you need to painfully break them in, they're probably too small for you). I love how these look with so many different outfits. I find them classic yet modern. A high quality shoe. I'm used to flat shoes, so I'm still getting used to the heel (which requires a change in musculature), but because there's some lift, these boots are great for dancing! The bottoms felt a little to grippy at first, but they feel perfect now.

I have three other pairs of La Canadienne boots, all of which fit well and have proven themselves very durable in Boston winters. This style, though, felt too tight in the foot, the ankle, and the calf. I could zip them up completely but I felt I was putting too much strain on the zipper. So I exchanged my normal 9M for 9W and am glad I did. The fit is still snug but not quite as tight. The boots are very comfortable and even though the heel is a little higher than I normally do, I feel very secure in them. Wore them out of the box for thirteen hours--no issues whatsoever.
