I purchased La Canadienne Felicia in a size 9 after reading reviews (usually I'm a 8.5/9) for a backpacking trip in November around Italy and France. I needed waterproof walking boots that still offered a sleek look. They were perfect in the rain and sun and now that I'm back in NYC for the winter I'm still wearing them everyday. When I first tried them on they seemed on the tight/narrow side, but they were still comfy and hugged my ankle in a supportive way. Being leather they soon stretched a bit where I needed them to, but they were too narrow for a friend with wider feet. I like that they offer a little bit of height, but they remain a perfect and warm walking boot. This is a great boot for pounding the pavement and an all-purpose shoe for traveling in cooler weather. Highly recommend.

Love these! Fit great, stylish, comfortable. Best thing about these are that they are waterproof - very important in PNW.

La Canadienne boots are like none other. They have excellent arch support and they are waterproof. They don't look like regular rain boots which can be "clunky". I wore these all day!

I love these boots (and this company), but this particular style seems to run smaller than usual for La Canadienne.

Bought this boot last year (2009) and wore it every day through the winter. Loved it! Great looking, comfortable, and never had to worry when going out in the snow and slush! On their 2nd season and still great! Wore with jeans, dress pants, leggings! Versatile!

Warm, practical, attractive - Chicago winters require a serious boot. Given the requirements of work, it's hard to find a boot that is both attractive and warm.... and that holds up over time. This boot does all three. It is EXTREMELY comfortable and with the heel looks good on a daily basis for work and/or play. You can't lose with this one.

Snowlight in Vermont - I need a 5 star boot for walking in a Vermont winter. These boots fit the bill. I prefer La Canadienne boots to other brands. Normally, I wear a size 7 Med. However, in the winter I wear wool socks, so I prefer a size 7 Wide. Not all boots come in this size. These do. The wedge heel is a perfect height for walking, and looks good with jeans. The warm, waterproof construction is also a necessity here. The boots are very comfortable, and are true to size. I also love the color, which I purchased in charcoal suede. This color is not easy to find. I plan on purchasing another pair in brown.

Worth the money - I have worn these almost every day for a month straight. They are very comfortable and they are pretty cute. The traction is amazing! We have had freezing rain and snow for the past week and while other people are sliding around, I have no trouble. My feet stay warm and dry even with thin socks. I was worried about the price, but I find they are definitely worth it. Zappos is great, too, of course!

I do not like these boots. A cup of coffee with cream spilled on mine, and the suede has permanent spots. The suede also mars easily if anyone brushes up against the boots. My boots look old after only one week of wearing. These boots are definitely not worth the cost.

These are my favorite everyday winter boots ever. I bought a pair last year, and when I saw them available again, I didn't hesitate to grab a second pair. They're a pretty brown/grey suede AND they're waterproof. Super warm. Super comfortable. Super practical if you live someplace that gets rain and snow and slush and mush in the winter months.

These are the third pair of this particular boot that I have purchased over the past few years. They are the best for walking in light snow or just a cool afternoon.

Super comfy and stylish - Every couple of years I go on a hunt for a boot that I can walk the hills of SF in, wear every day, but also are smart enough to go and visit clients in... very happy with both the black and the brown pairs I purchased.

Thanks Zappos! These boots are just what I needed. This is the first time I've tried La Canadienne and find the brand exceptional. I ordered several different styles last week and these fit my terrible feet perfectly so they were definitely keepers. I did read the reviews and ordered them a 1/2 size larger and they are a good fit, very comfortable and nice looking. I got them on Thursday afternoon and we had our first winter snowstorm come in on Saturday a.m. so they arrived just in time, so far I've worn them every day since Friday. Thanks again.

My favorite boot - I bought these boots for a trip to London. Knew I'd be doing much walking around. They were and are perfect. The sole absorbs so much shock on pavement, makes it easier on my feet and legs. Barely any breaking in time was needed. They are so comfortable, and good looking, too. I can't wait to try more La Canadienne styles. I am a 6 1/2, bought this size and I couldn't ask for a better fit.

Comfortable and warm! The Felicia is a really great looking, short boot to wear with pants in the cold weather. I gave it four stars for comfort because it is a bit snug around my leg at the top of the boot. I'm sure it will loosen a bit. All around very pleased with this boot -- and it certainly kept my feet warm during some really cold days here in MA.

Awesome Boot - This boot is simply AWESOME!!! I ordered a half size bigger than I normally wear and the fit is perfect! They are very stylish and super comfortable. They feel like I'm walking on air because they are so light weight. They were comfortable from the minute I put them on. No break-in period at all. I love them!!! They are definitely well worth the price and are a good quality. Once again...I love ZAPPOS’ fast and delightful service!

Great so far - I ordered these shoes at Zappos after buying a pair locally that were medium width, but too narrow for me. However, I found these shoes in wide so I ordered again. I am very happy with them. I bought them for a trip I am doing in Europe this winter so the true test of whether they stay warm and dry in cold and wet weather remains untested. In the meantime, they are warm, comfortable and nice looking. They also seem to be made very well and the construction seems solid.

Bingo!! Bingo! Extremely comfortable and cute. It is hard to find comfortable boots that don't look like humongous on my size 12 feet. I'm a New York City girl, and do a lot of walking everyday. I'm so happy to have a fashionable cute boot I can put on in the morning and keep on all day. There is ample toe room, flexibility in the sole, and the boot is not heavy. I've gotten compliments. I ordered a second pair in brown and may go for the gray. This boot is a winner if you're looking for comfort and style -- the wedge heel is cute. This is not a dress boot. One Negative: may be tight with thick socks.

I love this boot! This is my second pair of La Canadienne boots. They look great and feel amazing. They feel like your wearing a sock mounted on top of a sponge. They are my winter flip flop...I wear them every day.

Very comfortable. Just like slippers with soles! I like the added height in the front of these boots. I have a very narrow foot, and these fit perfectly! Very comfortable, and lots of cushion.

Great boots - These are terrific--warm and waterproof but still hip. They look good even after tromping through an NYU puddle. Great rubber sole for climbing subway steps and it will probably have good traction on the ice, too. The medium works for my narrow feet.

I haven't worn the boots yet, but they felt really good when I tried them on. I ordered my regular size first (which is a 7), but I had to return them and get a size 7 1/2. Now they fit perfect!

I am a big La Canadienne fan having purchased two pairs of taller boots last year from Zappos. I wanted to try a ankle boot for more casual, everyday moments and these looked good. I do think they fit fine but if you are in doubt, size up. The biggest concern is the top band which feels a little constricting. Now, I have slender ankles and the boots do hit at a slim part of my leg and yet they feel tight at the top. If you have thicker ankles or low, athletic calves don't even consider these as an option. I notice how the boots feel a bit tight at the top with every step but I am hopeful that with wear they might stretch out a bit. They are warm, well constructed and the color ("moka") is a nice neutral taupe/cocoa. I just wish they felt better at the top!
