Great boot! I am so pleased with this order. It got here the day after I ordered it, and the boot fits perfectly. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size up, but it definitely is still snug around the calf. SO COMFORTABLE!

Comfy and stylish - These are great boots. I have owned other Danskos, but never boots. I wore these on the plane carrying three bags of luggage, and never felt wobbly nor did my feet ever hurt. They look great with jeans and with a skirt.

Great boot overall - The only problems I had with this boot was that the elastic part on the top inside of the boot pinches my skin when I go from sitting to standing. These boots are very comfortable, but I definitely knew I was in a higher heel than I’m used to. The shock absorption is great and the lift in the front helps a lot. I’m a size 9 1/2 to 10, I ordered the 10. I should have ordered the 91/2, but I still kept them.

Love these boots! Wow, these are beautiful and comfortable. I have been looking for a good pair of boots without a flat heel but also not a high heel. There are perfect! I do have thin calves, and these fit perfectly so I agree, if you have wider calves, these may not work. I am a size 6 1/2 US size and I ordered size 37. These will be just right for me- they are generous, but with thin to medium socks which I plan to wear with them, they will be perfect. Very, very beautiful leather and extremely well made. A classic un-trendy style that should last for years. Great cushioning and arch support! Wish they were less expensive- but the prices of boots and leather bags have really gone up the past couple of years.

Dansko Risa in Black Calfskin - I was so excited to receive this boot and sadly had to return it. The boot was very, very snug. In fact, too snug to wear with anything thicker than a trouser sock. The calf was fine; fit well, but not too tight. The heel did not feel stable. Boots usually run a little large, but not this one.

Most comfortable boots I have ever owned - I've been searching FOREVER for the perfect pair of boots. Flat ones look too military/masculine, and heeled boots, which I love to wear with jeans, are just not practical for my life. When I saw these I could not believe they were Dansko. My roommate has several pairs of Dansko clogs and loves them, but I couldn't get over the bulky look. Well these boots are phenomenal. More comfortable than rainboots... and warmer! And I could walk for days in them.

Risa Black Leather Boots - I love Dansko Clogs - so I was happy to find the Risa boots. I bought them in September 2007 and have yet to wear them, because I can't pull the zipper all the way up. The boots are a good fit on my feet...but that doesn't do me much good. I’ve read other reviewers have had the same problem.

Very comfortable all-day boot - These are very comfortable. A staple for the wardrobe in my opinion. They accommodate my narrow heel, wider toe area. They're keepers!

Cute boots! These are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn - the ankle part of the boot is skinny enough to give support, but not be uncomfortably tight. And, as always, Zappos has the most fantastic customer service!

GREAT boot! I have always been a fan of Dansko, and these boots are great. I have big calves, so it did take a few days for the calf part to stretch out to fit me, but now they are perfect and I can wear them nonstop all weekend and traveling, and they are very comfortable and stylish.

Very comfortable! I tried on tons of different kinds of boots but none of them felt comfortable to wear all day to work. I tried these on and although they were way out of my price range, they were so comfortable that I knew I'd wear them all day and not regret it. I've worn them a few times to work (I commute by bus and subway and walking) and they're great! When I wear Dansko shoes I usually wear a 41 but for their clogs I wear a 40. For the boot, the 40 fit perfectly. The only thing I would change about them is to make them just the slightest bit taller. They end mid-calf and I think they'd look a lot better if they were just 1 inch taller.

Finally My Dream Boots - They fit well, and I'm hard to fit. They are very stylish and attractive. It's great that they feel good, but best of all I feel good when I wear them.

Perfection! This boot is perfect. It's like a boot chameleon - it can go dressy or casual in an instant. Add to that the fact that it's actually comfortable and you have a boot that is well worth every penny spent on it. Without fail, I always get compliments on them. They're a bit roomy in the toe box, which is why I feel they are a bit wider than marked, but for me that's a good thing. They're not super wide though so don't let that stop you from buying these!

Exactly what I wanted! As always, shipping was lightening fast with Zappos. The boots are very comfortable and fit like a glove. In in heaven!

Awesome boot! I purchased this boot because I was looking for a tall high quality leather boot that was stylish, well-made, and (for once!) comfortable. The Dansko Risa is finally that boot! The leather is top-notch and thick. The sole and arch are padded well and the heel isn't overly chunky but sufficient enough to provide ample stability and support. Cons: The only bad part is that I have a largish medium calf size and it's *really* tight to zip up. Most time I leave the top 2-3" undone for comfort but with tights it would be easier. The ankle area also isn't super tight so the leather bows a little here. I'm only giving this boot 4 stars on look because I just wish the arch were a tiny bit higher and heel tiny bit narrower. I think it would make it more stylish. If Dansko could do that without sacrificing the awesome comfort - perfection :)! I also recommend treating the boots with a waterproofing spray of some type if you plan to wear them in snow and salt. The leather is too pretty to ruin. Note on size: I typically wear a 9 in shoes and the 39 is perfect on me WHEN wearing nylons/stockings/trouser socks. I think if I wanted to wear more athletic/thicker socks I would size up.

Dansko comes through again - I love these boots. Of course they are pricey because they are Dansko. I had to buy them a size smaller. I usually take a 42. The leather is beautiful. I look forward to getting the brown suede also.

Style, Quality, and Comfort - Beautiful leather, high-quality, comfortable, appealing design. I highly recommend these boots; they are worth the price. And, of course, Zappos service was impeccable.

Dansko Risa boots - I like them! These boots are awesome, especially for someone like me who seems to only ever wear Danskos. Very cut, comfy and even OK to walk around in for long periods of time. I have pretty wide feet and they're just right for me (i.e. probably a little too wide if you've got a regular width foot).

Extraordinary comfort! Danskos run a little large--I wear a 9 1/2 and ordered a 41 in this boot. It fit perfectly. The boot was a little wide around the ankle, but after a few wearings, the leather is softening up and becoming more form fitting.

looks and feels great - Looks and feels great -- a bit snug, so perfect for the woman who wants to wear tights or hose. Great height on the leg on me -- I'm 5'.

Wonderful! Great quality - excellent comfort! I usually go for a sexier boot with a smaller and taller heel, but Danskos comfort and great style don't make me feel I am missing out on anything. Great to travel in and walk in the city.

Dansko Risa boot - Great looking boot and comfortable too. Best part is that there is some elastic at the top of the boot so that it is not tight around the calf. I liked it so much I got both the black and the brown!
