Good quality, but not what I'm looking for. I love all the Dansko shoes and sandals I own, so when I decided I wanted some tall black boots, I wanted to try Danskos offering first. Unfortunately, the Risa really isn't what I'm looking for. I don't care for the height - it hits right at the thickest point of my calf, which seems very unflattering to me, drawing attention to the thickness instead of the whole line of the calf. Also, the heel is both higher and narrower than a standard Dansko heel. I could tell that from the pictures, but I wanted to see how it felt, thinking maybe Danskos brilliant engineers had somehow preserved the same feel in a different heel ... nope, not really. I don't wear anything higher than a standard Dansko, and this felt uncomfortably high to me. Plus my toes, usually well-accommodated in wide Dansko foot beds, felt painfully squashed - maybe because they slid forward from the high heel? I sent Risa back and am trying some Snipe boots - under-reviewed but very beautiful!...

Zappos Dansko Risa - Great boot. Only negative is zipper pinches a bit at top of boot.

Good boots - I love the look of this boot. I think in smaller sizes it is especially cute (maybe not as much in my 42) but it makes me pretty happy. They are a little wide and my feet are on the narrow side but they fit in length which is rare for me so I really can't complain. Dying to wear them with a skirt- haven't done that yet. All in all a very nice product.

Stylin' low heeled boot - Not as comfortable as the Solera (please bring that back, Dansko!), but more comfortable than anything I tried in stores. The almost invisible elastic inset at top allows just what I need for give.

Dansko Risa - I like these boots. I did not find them as comfortable as any of Dansko's other shoes, but they are more comfortable than any other brand of similar looking boot I have tried.

Rich suede comfortable heel height - I was going for a comfortable city walking boot with a bit of sexy heel look. They felt very comfortable when I tried them on at home, but when I put these to the test I found that after an hour of out and about shopping, the main pad of my feet were feeling sore. I can't be sure if I need to wear them in a little more or walk differently in them. I still very much like these boots and am glad I got them, I just may put an insert for pad cushioning. The heel comfort factor is fine, the boot is comfortable if it did run a little roomier than the narrow feel of my Dansko clogs. Overall I dig them.

Great, but tight. These boots are lovely. The calf isn't too tight, nor is it extra big. I felt they were true to size length-wise, but quite tight across the top of the foot. I imagine they might stretch, so I'm going to give them a chance.

Good Boot, Zipper often gets Stuck - This is a very good looking, comfortable boot. I really like it; however, you have to really be careful not to get the zipper stuck. The zipper is very prone to sticking on the back flap as well as to itself. I may have just gotten a bad pair, but it is very annoying when you are trying to just put them on and go. Also this boot felt small around the calf so I ordered a size up to get more room there.

Almost Perfect - So comfy, with a great all day and night travel touring kind of sole, but hey! How about covering up the rest of my calf? I have long legs, but really, I'm not that tall (5.5)and it would be great to have at least a 16.5 high, up to a 20 or so (just to my mid knee) inch shaft height. They look great with a longer skirt but are too tall for jeans and too short for my sexy wrap dresses. They look ok with leggings and a tunic, but not with a mini or any dress. The ankle is wide enough to wear an ankle wrap or dancer's tape under it, but I had to go a half size up as it's a little snug in the toes. So with all those caveats, I still say they are the sexiest comfy boots on the market. Let's just hope Dansko hears this and makes a tall boot for us! Don't pass this one up while you wait!

These are beautiful, but only skinny calves should purchase!!! Had to take to my cobbler to stretch the top portion of leather. Dansko loosen up!!!

Cute, but not very comfy - I have pretty narrow feet and I could barely fit my feet in. The bottom part is quite narrow, but the shaft is too wide. It's a very cute boot though.

Definitely not for the wide of foot! I couldn't even get my foot into the boot. I don't have a hugely wide foot by any stretch of the imagination either. Too bad, the boots were beautiful and made of nice soft leather. I'm batting 0 for 4 with Danskos.

Dansko Risa - I bought these as a gift and/or for myself. I found the leather a bit too stiff, but my daughter loved them. Thought they were comfortable, great for work with either pants or skirts, but casual enough for everyday wear. She hasn't worn them much yet, but was very pleased with both looks and comfort.

Not so great - I ordered these boots based on the online reviews that were very positive. They are just not the right boot for me. The leather was very stiff and rubbed against my ankles. They also bothered my shins when I walked. The leather is not soft and doesn't move very well. They were loose through the calf but tight on my upper calf. I wasn't at all pleased. They also look pretty plain in real life. The black leather is shiny and looks a little plastic-like. I returned these boots.

Comfy but kind of dorky - I'm a big fan of Dansko clogs, but they have that chunky kind of dorky look. I bought these boots thinking they would be cuter and still comfortable. But I was disappointed with the style. Even though they were comfortable I sent them back because for the amount of money I just felt like they weren't very attractive.

Too small, but look great - I am on my second pair of Dansko clogs, which last a long time and are comfortable. I think on the whole, Dansko shoes run small, and I have to order a whole size up (especially if your feet are wide).

It's Got Sole - I would buy three of this nicely sculpted boot...if...the shaft was taller (16-17) and if the toe box were just a bit wider. The heel/ankle is wide in comparison to the toe box. I had to order a half size up so that it would be totally comfortable, not rubbing my pinky. I am an A width. So I'll add orthotic insoles, especially as that upsizing creates a loss of arch support. It's a shame to have to put insoles into an already super comfy boot. These are 18 hour boots that look great with leggings or a mini or long dress. They are too slouchy yet not slouchy enough to look good with a mini. Best design I've seen yet. I hope Dansko sees this review and makes minor modifications. And calls me when they're done, lol! THE SHAFT HEIGHT IS 13" & THE WIDTH IS 14!

Dansko Risa Boot - I have four pairs of Dansko sandals & was excited about the prospect of a mid-heel supportive Dansko boot for all-day comfort. The boots felt comfortable when I tried them on & for the first hour or so. From then on my feet were in agony but I was stuck because I had a long day of work. I've tried a few more times for a shorter period but have to say that this is the most uncomfortable boot I have ever worn, including high-heeled fashion boots. The footbed feels rock hard & becomes painful with time. I did not know until I had worn them & I am quite unhappy about wasting this much money on an unwearable boot.

Slippery soles - They are beautiful boots, but when I went to walk, on the carpet, it was very slippery, and then on to ceramic tile. I'm not clumsy; just need more tread for myself.
