It looks very nice. Comfortable around the foot area, but I am 5'2 and the shaft was too high that it wasn't comfortable around the calf for me.

Love. These are so much more comfortable than my old rainbots. I've worn them through a few storms now and they work really well - excellent traction on slick sidewalks. I love that they fit snug around the calf, as my old boots were looser and water would get inside them from the top. I got the socks to go with them, and wearing them with the socks over jeans gets a little snug but it's doable. The insoles are nice and breathable so my feet don't feel suffocated even if I wear them around all day. I normally wear a 9 so I ordered 9s and they were enormous. Zappos did a very speedy exchange and the 8s fit much better, although my big toe does hit the front of the boot a little more than I'd like. I recommend ordering a size down from what you normally wear.

The buckle fell of on the left boot within three weeks. I am not sure how to return them when I purchased this pair through Zappos.

So I ordered these boots. It took about 7 days to arrive. I wear a size 10, and my feet are very narrow, however I followed all the previous reviews and sized down to a size 9. So I got the boots, they fit perfectly. The boots are heavy. It will take sometime to get used to. If your calves are big you might have a problem. I have skinny calves so the boots were ok on my calves. Kinda hard to get out of them. But once you develop a technique to take them off you should be OK. The spring and winter in the northeast is cold and wet. These boots were great for the wet slushy days. Would I recommend them yes. The protect your feet. They are heavy. You have to get used to that. Is it worth that price? I am still debating that? I have only had the boots for about 2 months. Lets see if they last.

Zappos is up there as having one of the best customer service departments available. I ordered the wrong size and it was so easy to make an exchange. The representative on the phone was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this company to a friend. The boots are great. In general, I would say order a size smaller than you normally wear but if you want to use the welly socks, than stick to your original size or they won't fit comfortably in the boot. They are a little big, however, without the welly sock. Too bad they don't sell half sizes.

I live in NYC and bought these for getting around in the snow and slush. They offer great traction, and they keep my feet dry. Downside is no real lining. I would imagine extended periods in cold and wet situations would be a bit chilly. I wear a solid 7-1/2 in most shoes. These come in whole sizes, therefore I got an 8. They're "roomy" with normal socks on, and better with thicker socks (which you might want for insulation).

I was most concerned about size and color. I bought navy. it us darker than I expected and I regret a little bit not to pick a brighter one. The size is a little bit big. I would go with a smaller size. I felt a little heavy and uncomfortable first, but I've got accustomed to it. It's not warm or comfortable like UGG. Overall, however, I like my boots more and more. The color goes well with jeans and the boots are really useful.

The boots fit well but only with a pair of the fleece socks. I'm normally a 7 to 7 1/2, and I ordered a 7 in the boots. I like the look of them a lot.

I really wanted durable boots for my commute to work when it rained or snow and these were perfect. It took awhile to get used to the weight and feel of them but I'm glad I bought it. The only downside is that you can't wear them with the welly socks. It becomes too tight around my calves to fit properly. Without the socks they fit okay.

My calves have a circumference of 14.5, with the fleece liner the boot bunched up on me. Nice boot but no space to tuck the pants in once that fleece liner went in. I purchased a size 8 boot but went with a medium liner, much snugger. I was disappointed to see they are made in China, high price point to have been outsourced to China.

Comfortable, great traction, awesome in the snow, very durable, and worth the investment! These boots have been awesome in the Chicago winter. I walk to the train to go to work downtown, so I needed an "everyday" boot after my last rain boots fell apart after 2 seasons. I'm a penny pincher, so the Hunter's were way out of my price range. But friends that have them LOVE them, and said quality was great. They were so right! Great in puddles - never leak, and keep my feet relatively warm, though you'll need a thick pair of socks with them in the winter. They're really popular in Chicago, especially with the preppy, post-sorority crowd. But I've seen hipsters rock them out. Order a size down more than you think you'll need - I'm a 7.5 normally, but ordered a 7 based on reviews. They still feel a little big, but thick socks help somewhat. HIGHLY recommend!

These boots are great, but they are not that warm. Even with the fleece liners, the cold comes right through the rubber. They are excellent if you are running around in and out of the car, but I wouldn't wear them for a full day in the snow.

I'm very happy with this boot! It fits true to size -- I got the welly socks with it and they make the boot warm. The navy blue is very dark, close to black.

I love these rain boots! Flexible and easy to walk and drive in. The color can easily be worn back to anything. They do run slightly large to size.

The Hunter Original is not only a practical Boot to have in ones wardrobe, but an attractive one as well. I live in the Northeast and needed something for the winter snow/slush and rain. The boot when worn with the Fleece Welly Sock liners adds some warmth, however in this cold weather I need to wear smart wool socks as well and even then my feet get cold when the temperature drops to the 20's and below, or walking around in the snow for any length of time. (Uggs are much warmer, but the Hunter is better suited for the slush and rain.) I am very pleased with the tread on the bottom as it provides far better traction than wearing an Ugg. I also feel safer walking on the ice in the Hunter. I definitely recommend this boot. I wear a US size 7½ or sometimes an 8. I bought the Euro size 39. Perfect fit. I purchased the size ML Welly Socks and they are very roomy but that works well when I need to put an additional sock inside. There is some excess material inside at the back of the heel, which causes some initial bulkiness but seems to work out after wearing them for a bit. In other words I may try the next size down to see if it is a better fit. The cable knit Welly Sock can snag on the side buckle if not careful taking them on and off! If one is overweight, they may need to get the other style as these are shaped closely to the calf. I hope to purchase more colors.

Too tight in the calf - going for the Huntress. They are also more plain than I thought they would be - expected color to pop a little more.

These boots are very cute and I love wearing them. I like the navy color that isn't glossy. I have athletic calves about 14 inches - I can wear them with leggings but can't do straight leg jeans with them tucked in. I have not tried skinny jeans with them but they probably wouldn't work. I'm 5'6" and the top of the boots are pretty high. The ankle area is very roomy also. I'm happy with my purchase.

I was surprised by how tight these were in the shaft around the calf. I don't typically have issues with boots being tight around the calves, but with skinny jeans and those wellie socks tucked in, it was really difficult to get them on and off. You're really paying for the name rather than anything super special about these boots.

Love these, ordered the chocolate pair. I am an 8 1/2, ordered the 8, and it is still a bit roomy. Didn't change down due to wanting room for warm cozy socks as we storm towards winter. I'm 5'9 and they are right up to the knee as well, so I would definitely size down.

Big, clunky shoe -- and I mean that in a good way -- to keep your legs dry and mud-free on the rainiest of days. Waiting for a true storm so I can really test them out!

Cute, versatile boot but always seems to require wipe-down maintenance. Currently use Armor All protective wipes for cars to remove the white pasty protective wax covering. Seems to work so far. The other reviews are correct in that I ordered a full size down (normally a 7 but bought size 6). Fit is perfect with enough room for thick socks.

I've never had a problem with this before, but my legs and calves hurt so bad after walking/ working in these for a few hours! Also, if you think the boot will be snug around your leg - keep in mind your whole leg and foot will probably sweat like crazy. My socks were wet after working in these boots in 40 degree weather. For the price these cost, I definitely will be sending these back and finding something more comfortable. Zappos is amazing on a side note, excellent customer service!

I wear an 8.5M normally and this 8 was huge around my ankles. With the matching sock, it will fit, so only purchase this size if you are also purchasing the Hunter fleece sock. Otherwise, I'd size down one size.
