Love them! Fall is delayed this year, but when it's here I will be well equipped. And because of these gorgeous boots (sounds funny to say this about rubber boots but it's true) I will be looking forward to the rain. :-)

Cutest Crummy Weather Boot - I ordered the fuchsia pair of Hunters and also got the Hunter socks. I love these boots. I've been wanting a pair of bright pink Wellies to go with my bright pink raincoat and now I cannot wait for bad weather to start. Also, how ingenious you add the Hunter sock, and now they are warm and toasty for snowy weather. I also took some of the advice on here and ordered them bigger due to a muscular calf. I normally wear 7.5/8 and ordered the 8. The shoe part is big, but with the wellie sock and a normal sock, its fine and the calf fits!

Perfect for rain in the city - These are what I have needed for so long. The earlier reviews were 100% correct that you should order a size down. I am typically true or larger than standard shoe sizes and I had to go down one size in these.

Could be more supportive, but still a winner - I am usually a size 5.5 or 6. I got the size 5 and they fit on the loose side with thin trouser socks, with just enough room at the toe. These boots don't have any lateral stability, and I'll be wearing these on uneven terrain, so I put in a pair of Superfeet Berry insoles to add some support and to take up some of the excess volume in the shoe (and I still have a bit of room for thicker socks if I wish). I also have enough room in the calf area to tuck my jeans inside.

100% Satisfied - I love Zappos! I've wanted these forever and finally decided to order them through Zappos. They were shipped ASAP. I am so happy with these boots I can't wait to use them! They are a bit roomy. I usually wear a 7.5, but ordered a 6 and they're still roomy, but will do just fine with thick socks. I'm VERY satisfied!!!

Simple and elegant rain boot--it that possible? I think that the Hunter rain boot fits the bill. The pumpkin color is great. I ordered one boot and hoped that it was the right size after reading all of the reviews about size variation. I wear a size 7 in nearly everything. I ordered size 37 / US women’s size 6. They fit perfectly.

Margie Mc - These boots are needed for a trip to Antarctica...but I needed them a few weeks ago in pouring rain!!! They are comfortable and kept me dry and fashionable!!!! They are floppy but all "gum boots" or Wellies are like that. It would be great if they had arch support built in as well.

I'm on my 2nd pair of Hunters, and while I love them and find them practical I can't say I'm happy with the quality (especially for the price). These aren't everyday boots, and are only worn in the rain or snow, but both pair have split on the bottom (sole). Finding this out while walking through rain and snow isn't pleasant. Cold soggy socks don't feel good. I'd say (after going through this with 2 pair after 18-24 months of minimal wear) save your money and buy a cheap disposable pair of rain boots. You'll end up getting rid of these after 1-2 seasons anyway.

I just got these today, and I really like them. I'm normally a size 8, and I got a 7 because many reviews said to size down and they fit perfectly. I would say that if you plan to wear thick socks with them, to get your regular size because they don't run as large is I thought. They are rather small around the calves, too. So if you have larger calves I wouldn't recommend these; I've heard that there is a different kind of Hunter boot for larger calves. Over all, I really like this boot. It's super stylish, and I'm definitely going to buy more.

These boots are cute & they look really good on me. I am 5'4" & 128 lbs. I gave an athletic build. My calves are not huge but these boots are a little tight around them. I can still get my jeans into the boots if I wrap them around my ankle. But if you have big calves, don't get these boots.

Love these boots. The fit is perfect although it is a bit of a struggle to pull them off. Very comfortable and easy to clean.

So I tried the glossy originals on in Bloomies and determined I needed size 42. I didn't realize Zappos posts the US size so just ordered my usual size 11. I received a EU size 43. It was way too big and heavy. I called Zappos and the 42 (10) was at my doorstep before I even packed up my first order. Anyway, for me these boots were way too hard to get on and off. I didn't have any issues with the ones I tried on in Bloomies though. Go figure. I'll just pray blizzardgate is finally over since, unfortunately, these boots are going back. Kudos to Zappos for their top-notch customer service!

Great looking boots, the jade is a striking color. I'm a 1/2 size in flat shoes so I followed the advice of the reviews and sized down. I had to return for the bigger size because they just fit and I would not be able to wear with a thicker sock or the Welles boot liners with the smaller size. Zappos customer service was amazing as always and had a new pair out to me in less than 2 days. I found them to be slightly narrow and no real support but for rain boots they are comfy. I did not have any issues with the shaft height like some had complained about but I'm 5'8". My only complaint is the buckle on one of my boots does not lie flat and keeps coming unbuckled. Not a major issue but for such an expensive boot this shouldn't happen. Still, I love them!

Love the Hunter Blue Rubber Boots. Originally ordered these in size 5.5-6.0. They were way too big, I returned for a full smaller size and they now fit perfectly. Now, all we need is some snow, rain, and cool weather. Bring it on!!!!!

This year for Christmas I received tall Hunter rain boots in matte black. The boots also came in other colors or glossy. You also had the option to get the short length. They had adjustable straps according to calf size. The boots are very easy to put on and adjust. The height makes it easy for snowy and rainy days so your pants won't get wet. The only part I did not like is they are not very warm. The additional purchase of the Welly fleece socks fixed that. The socks folded over the tops of the boots which made them even more comfortable. I now want to wear them everyday.

DO NOT BUY HUNTERS!!! I have worn Hunters for years and thought they were great as they last years. Unfortunately my last pair barely lasted 6 months before the rubber started to get cracks and I got wet feet! Apparently they now sub their work abroad and are not made in Edinburgh anymore and are certainly substandard. If you complain to Hunters they tell you they are guaranteed for a year but refuse to replace them. They offered me 25% off a new pair!! Too expensive to only last 6 months so don't bother unless they start to manufacture in the old way. Bad customer service.

I love them but I'm 5'3 and they come up so high that they dig in the back of my knee, when I bend my legs (it's pretty annoying). Also order a size down. Other than that they're fabulous.

Oh, how I love my classic wellies. The calf is pretty suction-cupped but wearing a cute, thin, knee-hi sock helps IMMEASURABLY! I am built pretty normal and if I don't wear a knee-hi these boots suction to my calf in a rather unpleasant way to remove, but it is completely worth wearing a good sock and investing in this classic rain boot. Choosing a color is the most difficult part!

This is a great fashionable rainboot so far. I haven't been able to wear it too much since I bought it later in the season. I had some trouble with the buckles at first (they were shipped unbuckled), but don't plan on messing with them anymore. The purple color is exactly as shown. I wanted some color for spring, but nothing drastic. I normally wear a size 9.5 and everyone else had said to buy a 1/2 size down, but I tend to disagree. The 9 was too tight with a thick sock and the 10 was a bit loose, but you want that so you can get the boot off and also have enough room so your feet don't get cold. It took me some time to get used to the roominess, but the size up is best! Overall, a great boot!

Great rain boots! Keep feet dry and haven't leaked yet. They do scuff pretty easily and fade in color with lots if wear so watch out. Still look great on! Also since no half sizes, if you are a true 8.5 like myself, getting a size 9 fits great. Only have to wear 1 pair of socks but room for 2 pair if it's really cold out.

I researched rainboots for a while before I purchased my Hunters. Overall, I'm pretty pleased. They are cute, warm, and keep my feet dry. My only complaint is that I am 5'3" and they come up right under my knees. I worry that they might be a little tall for me.

I really would have liked to keep these but my calves are a little too "athletic" for them. Skinny jeans and leggings just didn't fit with them very well. I wish they were a little more adjustable. I thought about cutting a slit down just a little ways to make room, but really couldn't do that to a pair of what I consider spendy boots. They were comfy and I love the Aubergine color. It was a very deep purple. Almost black in dim light but more vibrant in brighter light. I am 5'7" tall with long legs and the top of the boot was a couple inches below my knee.

I ordered these and the Huntress to see which would fit better. I liked the shaft circumference on these better, but the height of the boot was too tall. I'm 5'5 and the boot came all the way up to my knee to the point where I couldn't bend it. I also found these a little more challenging to get on and off. I kept the Huntress, but I think if you are tall and have skinny calves these would be a better choice.

I purchased a pair of Hunter Original wellies in black several years ago and listened to a friend's recommendation that I order them a half size smaller. I now regret that decision big time. Since owning my boots I've had tremendous trouble with my feet, and while the Hunters are beautiful, they do not offer arch support. Eventually my boots felt way too small and started rubbing against my heel in a very painful manner, rendering them completely unwearable. I now need to purchase a new pair of Hunters and would make the following changes: 1) Order them in High Gloss - I ordered my first pair in Original black and it wasn't long before they got the waxy look. I personally feel that between the graying and spots of white, my boots look dirty and unappealing. 2) Order them true to size, if not a half size larger - I need to be able to add orthotics and maybe even a pair of Hunter socks. The boots themselves are wonderful and are mandatory for a commuter like me. Nothing is more unpleasant than getting caught in a downpour with soaking sneakers and pant legs damp as high as the knees. The key is to order your Hunters in a color that you like and find a size that is comfortable for you.

Wow, surprisingly comfy boots. I walked around in them all day, fresh out of the box and had no issues other than at the end of the day, my feet felt damp or something. I was wearing a pair of smartwool socks, which do a great job in keeping feet dry, but you are walking around in a rubber boot still. Also noticed that my heels were warm, but my toes got a little chilly. Was great to walk around with no hesitation in the woods and fields! One thing I learned was that I am a navy blue fanatic and it's best for my aesthetic at least to wear these boots with a different colored pant or else it looks kind of weird. So if you wear dark wash jeans, you may want to go with the black or another color. Enjoy!
