These boots rock - I wear a 9 always, but bought an 8 based on what others said and they still have room to spare with thinner socks. Perfect with thicker socks. Got them for both rain boots in the city and for my job outdoors. Are comfortable to walk in long stretches on concrete and do the job in mud and rain. Too tight to fit regular jeans inside though. And they do get hot as the rubber clings some. Have only worn them in 70+ degrees.

These boots look great and are pretty comfortable. I've had my eye on them for a while, but I had trouble deciding on a color. I chose the very subdued Merlot. I give the boot a 4 for comfort because they run very wide and I am in between sizes. The 8 was huge and the 7 is almost too small lengthwise. I definitely cannot wear thick socks with these.

Hunter Original Review - I love these boots. They are so simple yet eye-catching. I finally feel stylish when it's rainy out! They felt a tiny bit big at first, but buy nice thick socks to protect your feet and you should be fine.

Love my Hunter Wellies!! My bright yellow Hunter Hunter Originals are prefect for walking in the rain and mucky conditions of England and Portland, both my homes...they are comfortable, have great treads, are high enough to wear in deeper water and are very stylish!

Fun & Fabulous - Just love these boots, particularly in fire engine red. I bought them for flooding issues and now I can't wait for the hurricanes to come! They do run one size large, so I would advise buying one size down, even with socks.

The Real Thing - Have been wearing LL Bean Wellies for ages. Nice boots. But always wanted the real thing. Finally got these Hunters. And they arrived lightening fast from Zappos as usual. WOW!! These are totally awesome boots. Nothing like the a genuine Wellie. These will blow your senses when you've got them pulled on. Heavier rubber. Taller. More cushion. Excellent ankle fit. Just plain super comfortable when in them all day. Be aware their rubber aroma will attract sensitive noses - people will know you're around in your Hunters. But that's OK. Broke these in at a very muddy shooting range. While the leather booter buds got their hikers and leather hunting boots and pant legs caked with mud and spent awful time cleaning their boots afterwards, I had a ball in the mud - and it took only a few minutes to get my Hunters looking like they'd come right out of the new box. Allow some boot size for medium weight sweat socks and a set of good extra insoles to really add some cushion. Will be like walking on carpet. I like light weight shorty socks and the insoles. I ordered a shoe size down from my Converse Chucks size. You can play with socks weights for a perfect fit. The good ankle fit of these boots keeps the boots from flopping when you walk. Wore these gems all day sockless fishing and the smooth linings were no problem. No sweaty foot problem. If you want to wear these under your Levi's pant legs like when is sunny, and there's no mud to fight, no rain or slushy snow to stomp through then you'll need boot style Levi's. It's hard to pull slim or regular pant legs down over the boot tops. Warning - you might not want to take them off at the end of the day.

Super Comfy, super cute! As always, amazing next day shipping from Zappos... Love the boots, priced right BUT they are narrower than I expected around the calf. I don't have big calves (really I don't) but trying to fit my jeans inside the boots was a bit of a chore. Other than that definitely order one size down as they run big, love the arch support!

Love these boots! These boots were all I hoped for... fit was perfect because I ordered a size down as other reviewers suggested... And they are very comfortable! I work outside and now my feet stay dry all day!!!

So far, so good - I'm loving these boots so far, especially since they seem to ward off the rain - I have only needed to wear them once since I've purchased them. I did read previous reviews and decided to go with a full size smaller, which is a perfect fit. Otherwise, they are simple, but stylish, and as comfortable as any other rain boot I've worn.

Hunter rain boots - Overall this boot is great looking for a rain boots, I suggest a size smaller I normally wear a size 6 and I got a five as suggested by other consumers, one thing also, if you are a little short it tends to hit the back of the knee which is a little annoying, overall I love my hunter!!!!

Susan from Connecticut - These are so cute! They go up to below the knee, which is nice, many rain boots are shorter so you calves get wet... not with these. They run a little big if you are wearing and you normally wear a 1/2 size, go down to the next even size them with thin socks

Sizing is a little larger than stated - Which was great for me as I have been wearing a 10 1/2 to 11 recently (thanks to menopause); so the 10 fit perfectly. I am so glad--they are a great boot!

These are great! But they run big - These run big. I wear a 7 in most shoes, sometimes a 7 1/2. I ordered these in 6 and 7 because I heard they run big. The 6 fit perfectly, so I sent the 7 back (thanks to Zappos' return policy!). They're comfy; provide more support than you'd think, and easy to slip on and off. Hunters are iconic rain boots. They feel well-made and they look super-cute. I've worn them in the rain and mud for a few weeks and they've held up fine. I'm average weight and there's enough room to tuck in my bootleg jeans. Mine are bright yellow...now I want them in every color ;-)

Cute and Comfortable - I love these boots. I finally had the chance to wear them because it rained and they were so comfortable. The silver color is gorgeous too, they really stand out.

Love them! They're not an amazing fit but they're comfortable enough to be on your feet all day. They are super cute though and I’ve gotten compliments on them every time I’ve worn them.

Nice rain boots. They have a nice fit and look great. Just need to find some nice knit socks to wear with them. Don't like the Welly socks as they have to much extra fabric and bunch up inside the boot.

Cute and Functional - I love my new Wellies (I got the red ones and thinking about buying the black ones...) I love the look and comfort...I only got to wear it once since I bought them because once I received these (the delivery was super fast) it has not rained for 3 weeks--not that I am complaining about the beautiful weather. I bought one size smaller thanks to all the other reviews and also bought gel inserts (makes a world of difference) and I was able to tuck in my jeans comfortably. I highly recommend these Wellies and I received compliments when I wore them. The weather man just said it may rain the whole next week...but I’ll be ready for the rain this time.

Red Hunter's Hunter Original - These are fantastic boots. These are probably the best-made shoes I have ever owned. I ordered the red, and I had been under the impression that the boots would be a more vibrant, fire-engine color, however, it was a slightly more muted shade. Nevertheless, these are still undeniably red, high-quality and not at all disappointing. I have gotten compliments on the boots both times that I have worn them, and they seem to be just right for biking-- but I do not suggest trying them with clips on the pedals. These boots are worth the investment. I will add, however, that they are a bit roomier then I had anticipated-- in terms of the "height" of the toe box, that is. I think that this will be perfect for thick socks next winter, though.

WOW - I got my pair today and when I pulled them out of the box I instantly thought they were adorable! Id read the reviews online about the sizing so I want to say thank you to everyone for their advice. This was my first time shoe shopping online and the price was high, but the free shipping and free return shipping helped me take the plunge to buy, so I hope they last. Every day when I wear them I will be smiling, cause they are pink and so cute!

Great Boots - I'm a US8/UK39 - that's the size I went with and they felt true to size, fit great with room for wooly socks. The US7 was too short for me.

PERFECT if you're buying your first pair of Wellies! After wearing them for about 5 times, the black is not so black anymore; it's a bit dull and there are some faint white spots. It looks rugged, which some people really like. I think this is expected and it's also mentioned in the care instructions card. I was supposed to wipe it after each wear, but I just never got around to. Otherwise, everything is as expected. Very comfortable and easy to walk it. The calf area is roomy and I'm loving it much because I have big calves. It's generally warm inside, so it's perfect for spring and fall months, and you just slip on a pair of knee high socks in the winter. They look expensive and old school. I've paired them with everything from jeans to skirts and they always work. For some reason, people really notice them on the street; they either do a double take or whisper about them to their friends. I find it amusing, for a pair of Wellies! In other words, Hunter boots are perfect for those of you buying your first pair of Wellies! :)

Love my rainboots! Bring on the rain! I am very happy with these boots. As others noted in their reviews, the boots are quite comfortable, although the calves are pretty tight. Overall, worth the price to have a classic pair of Wellies that will endure throughout the years.

Amazing Wellies - I bought these because of all the reviews here. My fiancé and I are getting married in June and are going to Alaska for our honeymoon. Since everything will be just melting, it'll be wicked muddy and we're doing a lot of excursions out in the wilderness, so I figured these would be great! I wore them to work yesterday since it was rainy and I absolutely love them! I was able to wear them all day (with thick socks) and they're just perfect! Can't wait to wear them up in Alaska! I ordered an 8 (I normally wear 8.5-9) and they fit great, plenty of room for socks.
