These fit the bill exactly. As many have commented, they tend to run large in the foot, and tight around the calf, but that suits me perfectly.

Color aubergine is perfect- can be worn with either brown or black. I normally wear an 8, but ordered a 7.5 given previous reviews-at first I was concerned bc there isn't a lot of toe room, but when I ordered the 8 to compare, I found the boot height and calf width looked better in the 7.5 than the 8.(Btw: I have somewhat smaller calves, and thought the boot width was perfect to wear over jeans, but if you have larger calves beware). I wore them for the first time this past weekend, and the toe room didn't end up bothering me at all. Boots are super cute, and are super comfortable- a definite "must buy"!

Great boots, very durable and well made, as well as fashionable. However, I normally wear a women's 6½, and the women's 6 is huge on me. Need to return and order the women's 5, hopefully they're not too small. Half sizes not available.

Love these boots for working outside in all seasons. The wellie socks make them even better in the cold. They are cute enough that if I need to run a couple errands I can just hose them off and go but I can't stand seeing people wear these that haven't ever worked outside.

I have an 8.5 foot and ordered the 9 which seems to be the right size for me. My foot is of average width and I do have skinny calves. These are very sharp looking and also very comfortable. I love them!

Love these boots to pieces! I waited a long time to get this color in my size. They sell out so quickly. Great for the rain (which there is a lot of these days.) Ordered them in 8/39. Too small. Exchanged for 9/40, no problem, easy squeezy. Great dealing with Zappos as always.

I wanted these boots so badly and couldn't find them anywhere. The Zappos customer service rep couldn't have been nicer and made the whole process so easy! It was a pleasure. The best part was I had the boots the next day. And when they didn't fit, I had the right size the next day again! Sending the wrong size back was super easy also. I am a forever customer!

These are great boots to wear in bad weather. I was in an area where it rained a lot and my feet stayed nice and dry and I was able to clean the boots quite easily.

Pray for rain, or at least a puddle, because these boots are so much fun to wear! Comfortable and stylin'. I love them!

Lovely boot! Most skeptical buyers worry that they are not worth the price -- trust me they are! The quality is unmistakable. Great for all sorts of wet and snowy weather and the mud that they both bring! For me, the size was true to fit -- plus a little extra room for comfy socks. I am around 5'9" average build and the calf fits wonderfully.

Great fashionable rain boots. Buy one size smaller than your normal size. Fleece Welly make this boot feel even more comfortable and warm.

I just love these boots, and actually kind of look forward to rain now so that I can wear them. I also bought the cable knit liner so that I can wear them in the winter too. I usually wear an 8, so ordered the size 8 and it fits fine. A tad loose without the fleece liner, but still comfortable. With the liner in, they are perfectly snug.

I wear a 6.5 and wish this boot came in half sizes. The 7 was a little big but would work if you don't mind it a little floppy. The 6 is a little snug but I went with the 6 because it fit more like a regular boot than a floppy rain boot. The quality and look of the boot is excellent.

I love these boots. They're beautiful and comfortable and well-made. I'd been wanting them for some time and finally ordered a pair and am very happy! The only thing I would add to this would be to go with your American size. I generally trust European sizes over American, but for these my toes reach the end of the boot. It doesn't bother me enough to return them, but if I could do it again I'd get the next size up.

Love these boots! As a New Yorker, I need good footwear in the rain. Felt like a 6.5, which is my shoe size. I'm 5'3" and the boots come all the way up to my knee -- nice and high. Good width, too. Able to fit a pair of heavy socks underneath them! Love the color, too.

Love my Hunter boots. I am on my second pair and I am just as happy as I was with my first. With jeans tucked in there is still room for cute welly socks. Perfect for adding color on a rainy, gloomy day.

Wow. I bought these boots for a trip to Paris so I could get style and rain preparedness in one boot -- they were awesome! No adjustment time to start being comfortable. Easy to walk around all day in these (I added a light arch support cushioned insole just to be sure). Super stylish, industrial looking while keeping you so dry. Although I bought them in the US, these boots were sitting right in one of the first high end boutiques I went in to in Paris, so I knew I was right in step.

This was my first purchase from Zappos and I found my Hunter Original boots to look just as I had anticipated them look, etc. Customer Service was fabulous and helpful when I called them with a few questions regarding sizes for my two little girls' Hunter boots. I highly recommend Zappos and Hunters!

These boots are so comfortable and warm, I just love them! They have great traction in mud and muck and look good as well. You couldn\'t ask for a better pair of rain boots.

I love these boots! I'm normally a size 9 and I got a size 9 and also purchased the Ugg sheepskin insoles and they now fit like a glove and are super comfy!

I usually wear a 7.5 or 8. I purchased the 7 and the 8, but decided on the 7. The size 8 has a longer and wider shaft which did not look good on me (I'm a thin 5'5"). So I kept the size 7. The fleece leopard welly socks look very cute with the chocolate colored boot! It's raining today and I'm wearing the boots!
