I love these boots! They do seem a little bit large, but I think it's to be able to wear the welly socks -- which are a necessity in Chicago's cold, snowy weather, as well as rainy days. These boots keep my feet warm and dry, and I've received a lot of compliments on them. Although they're not dressy boots, they are stylish, which is usually a difficult feat when trying to stay warm -- most times you have to pick between stylish and warm, but not with these boots!

I love my new Hunter boots. I ordered my normal size (US9) and they fit great. If you are pondering an order...go for it! Thick socks are recommended however and just feels better on feet and legs. Chocolate brown color is beautiful.

I love these. Yes, they're expensive, but they're super comfortable and totally stylin'. Just make sure you size up.

I love the navy Hunter boot. I already had a different pair of black rain boots and the navy is just as versatile.

Very fashionable and good for rainy days. Go with a size lower then what you are because they run a little big. If your an eight I suggest to stay with an eight. But for people who have half sizes order a size down. Order the socks because if you want to use them in winter your toes will get super cold. I just ordered mine on a kids size because it was less compared to the price for adults. I hope it fits.

I ordered these for my girlfriend. I got a size smaller like the other reviews suggested, but she decided to switch for her normal size (she figured she'd wear thick socks on cold rainy days). As usual, Zappos was amazing to work with. We got the second pair soon after, and she's still in love with them. She says they're very comfortable! Perfect for a Chicago winter.

I love love LOVE these boots. And after all the positive reviews, I decided to go for it. I wear a size 6 nearly universally and, following the advice of nearly all previous reviewers, ordered a full size down. Even with a size 5, I was practically swimming in these boots. I have narrow calves and these were HUGE. Every time I took a step, my foot slid up and down. No matter how much I tried to pretend these fit - they just don't. Very sad...they're gorgeous and well made but simply not for people with small feet and slim calves.

I love these boots! These are excellent in protecting against the harsh rain. They also keep my feet AND legs warm. I absolutely fell in love :)

I absolutley love these boots so much that I look forward to the rain/snow to wear them! I listened to the reviews and ordered half a size down (8½ down to 8) and the boots still fit very comfortably with thick socks. Shipping was also quick and painless!

Shocker! I love these and am finding them oddly fairly comfy. Sizing: I wear a 7½ (sandals) and 8. I bought the US size 7 and 8 due to reviews stating they run big. The 8 is at least an inch taller than the 7. The 7 was a pretty good fit with thin socks but a PAIN. They were nearly impossible to pull off and a bit tight to the point I felt long-term, they might've hurt me. They also disallowed thick socks/wellie socks. I kept the 8 because 1) I wanted as much height as possible 2) easier off 3) I figure these will mostly be worn in cr*ppy weather so I'd be wearing a decent sock. 4) room for welly socks. I did the right thing in keeping the 8's. The looser feel with thin socks is more comfy to me as well. It still works! Bloom/Care: Mine bloomed up a storm in short order. I used 303 PROTECTANT. It has UV, etc., and if you Google it, it's almost the gold standard for car care - dash/seats/rubber, etc. OMG! I wiped on the 303 and 3 weeks later, the boots look better than new! Great for your car, great for your Hunters. No-brainer. Great for walking the dog, dog parks, gardening/chores in mud. I can fit even my flared jeans in them and the top diameter allows me to tuck the pants tighter at the top and they remain tucked/tight. Wish they made half sizes though!

Beautiful color. LOVE THEM! Hard to find in stores. So much better than any galoshes I have before. Really well made. Received them quickly. Great customer service.

These boots are dreamy, and I live in the desert and I don't care. You should get them if you like matte aubergine; you'll feel and look great!

I love these boots! So comfortable but stylish with skinny jeans. It's nice to have a boot that covers more of my leg for the really wet days. They were a little snug but not enough to hurt or need larger size. I just wear a thin sock.

I am really happy with my purchase. These boots are so adorable. Very comfortable and well made. I have very thin calves, but they don't look really wide on my leg. The color is a dark purple, which I love. They run very big, so go down in size.

First rain boot that I've seen that has a comfortable foot bed with arch support. I can even put my orthotic in if I need to. I'm glad I took my daughter's advice and bought Hunter boots.

I love these boots. They look chic and grown up. I did not any problem with the rubbber looking white but, I have not worn them in the rain yet. So, we will see. They do run large though. I put a sports' insole in mine and that really heloed, especially with arch support. If you wear them with the welly socks, they fit perfectly. The socks take a lot of room in the boot. Overall, great boot.

Great boot and worth every penny! Truly a must if you live in rainy climates. As other writers have indicated, you should definitely order down (I'm a 7.5, but I got the 7 and there is plenty of room for thicker socks on the cold days). The only (tiny) complaint I have is that because they do big all over, my ankles flop around a little and it can get a uncomfortable if you are wearing them for a couple of hours - my calves and ankles are tiny, so I am probably not the norm. The flip side is that I can tuck my pants in so they don't get wet. I also love how high they go on the leg. Overall, highly recommend!

Love the color! I had cheap rainboots before, and they lasted about 6 wears. I wanted more durable, longer-lasting boots, and I found that in Hunter's. They are sturdy, comfortable, and seamless -- making leaks impossible. I was unsure if I would keep them when they arrived because they felt a bit big (by almost half a size), but I realized if I double-up on socks they are a perfect fit (which is good for the winters in NY since the boots aren't very warm!). Also, they are very high boots (almost to the knee), which can be good or bad depending on what you're looking for.

These are the best rainboots! They are lean and tall to the knee which makes them much more flattering than most rainboots. Also very comfortable and good quality.

I have been buying these Hunter boots for about 35 years, because they are perfect for gardening. High enough to keep from getting wet in tall grass and mud during the rainy season, yet roomy enough to go over your Levi's. They give you just enough room around the foot for thick socks, but have a snug fit. The rubber on these boots is very flexible, never stiff. For this reason, I find myself wearing them in the garden all during the year. They have some padding on the inside and are cut to a round, natural shape at the toes, so they do not pinch. They usually last me 3 years, so although they are somewhat expensive, they are well worth the price. I am in the flower growing business, so these boots get a lot of wear.

I nearly didn't buy these because of so many comments about the shaft being on the narrow side. I have an athletic build and my calves measure just under 15" at their widest. That said, faced with snow flurries this weekend (my first!), I decided to give 'em a shot and they're actually a great fit. I can wear them with Smartwool socks and skinny jeans with no problem. I didn't order a size down as many reviewers suggested, preferring the foot to be roomier rather than too snug. I may follow another reviewer's suggestion and purchase the Ugg sheepskin inserts. I absolutely love these boots. Who knew rubber could look so chic?
