Cute boots and very practical for wet weather which our springs are nothing but wet and cold. That being said - these boots are bigger than I thought. My feet are very narrow and the boot are whole sizes only, so having to order the 1/2 size up meant that the boot feels large and loose on my foot. I wear thicker socks. Good for taking my dog to the large dog parks and for getting around. Glad to have them. If not so expensive, would have them in other colors as well.

These shoes fit very comfortably and accommodate my orthotic! I never thought I would find a warm, leather, waterproof boot to fit an orthotic--these do. They tend to be slightly wide for me, but the box toe is very roomy. I just got them and wore them through deep puddles--they are perfect for the wet winter and walking my dog. I am very pleased with them and they are not that clunky looking (only slightly so).

Loved them! I have been wanting a pair of wellies for awhile now, and have even purchased them from some well known retailers, but was never really impressed with them. I wear a size 10 - 10.5 and other ones never came off easily, but I love these shoes. I don’t mind when it rains anymore because I get to look great and not get wet! I live in the city and these are just great to get around in.

Hunter Hunter Original - We have a horse and goats, so these boots are worn daily for barn chores during the warmer months. I bought these boots 2 months ago for my husband with hope that they will last longer than the 3 years his LaCross rubber boots did. Personally, I prefer my Ariat tall rubber boots that are over 10 years old, cost less, and still in excellent condition. The Ariat boot has a much sturdier sole than the Hunter boot, but alas, they are only made for women. My husband is a size 9-1/2, but it was the Hunter US size 10 that fit him the best. The rubber shaft of the boot is extremely flexible (a little too so for my liking, but my husband is content with it). They are also exceedingly lightweight for a rubber boot. Upon close inspection, they appear to be well-made, but only time will determine how well they hold up.

Good looking boot. Nice looking book but it's not for warmth and it if you plan wear thick socks go a size up. Felt true to size.

Great fit! These boots are the most comfy rubber boots I have ever owned. They are stylish enough to wear in town. Get them big enough to put an inner sole in for a bit more arch support.

Great rain boots! I have very narrow calves and found the fit around the calf to be fine as long as I wear the boots under my jeans. When I tried to do the jean tuck-in I got a weird muffin top effect around my knees. You'll need to wear skinny jeans to pull that look off with these boots.

Hunter Wellies - These are not the same as the Original Hunters made in Scotland. The height varies slightly from one pair to the next and the inside lining is different. The quality isn't necessarily worse, they are now made in China (where else) rather than Scotland. They are sized for a unisex fit i.e. M9/W10 Eur. 42 Also the pumpkin colored ones are a dull orange, not a bright, vibrant color as almost all pictures show.

I love the service I recieved from Zappos and the boots are great for ease of cleaning out the bottom and the rubber material but for me they are too narrow at the top. I use them with my jeans tucked into them an there is not enough room to do that. The tightening buckle on top is not necessary on top becuse of the lack of diameter of the top.

Classic style, unstoppable, but a high price - There is no boot quite like a Hunter. The style is classic and will get you compliments. Whenever the weather is messy, these are fashionable. They do run a half to a full size large - wear thick socks or go down a size. I have misgivings about the price. Hunter sells their Scottish heritage, but the customs tag doesn't lie: These are made in China. For an uninsulated rubber boot, they are expensive. However, they look good and are comfortable.

Fit/sizing - I purchased this boot for my husband, who has been wishing for them for quite some time. We are very disappointed in the sizing of the calf and had to return them with no other options for a larger size calf. 17" is too tight to get both socks and pants along with a muscular calf into the boot!

Hunter Original - I LOVE these boots but unfortunately have struggled to find the right fit. I like the height of the Originals, but can't get them to fit in the calf with jeans tucked in (and I think I have average calves). So I ordered the men's version, as the circumference is supposedly 17 inches compared to the women's 15, but they are the exact same boot. I'm very disappointed, and would like Zappos to fix that in the description. Otherwise, as always, Zappos service has been exceptional.

I agree with another review in that the sizing is a bit larger. I take a 10.5 and the 11 as too big, so exchanged for a 10 and they fit great; however, the calf is way too tight and my pants could not be tucked in. Defeats the purpose of rainboots if you cant tuck in the pants. But they are nice quality and look good. You should have skinny calves to wear these. I returned.

I wrote a review on 6/2/08 and am finally getting around to update that review. Sorry to report that these boots lasted only 2 seasons before the heels were so worn down that they showed a hollow heel One boot also developed a leak. I was really disappointed that they did not last longer. As for my Ariats (tall rubber boots), they are still in great shape and are over 14 years old! How I wish they would make them for men.

I am packing it and want to return them. I loved them, but for some reason the left boot got wet the second time I wore them few weeks ago "after" a rainy morning. I got a huge blister and it hurt (both my heart and toe). Friends told me their Hunters also have holes after few wears. I did not believe them, and now I do. I gave them five stars before, and I will take four back for their poor quality.

My mom ordered 2 sizes trying to figure out which one would fit me right. They run too big & too wide. I went one size smaller but still felt little odd. I love the look of them and I will keep smaller ones, because my original size was sliding of my foot.

My daughter wanted these boots, I originally ordered them from Nordstrom, they never informed me they would arrive after Christmas. I ordered them two days before Christmas from Zappos and they arrived with time to spare. Zappos is truly amazing and dependable.

I love these boots! I do a lot of walking and find them comfortable and with the inserts keep my feet warmer than expected. Well made.

I bought these boots 5 years ago. No joke. 5 years. I live on a small farm and I wear them constantly for chores. They're very comfortable and have never cracked or leaked. These are fantastic boots if you're looking for something long term and are tired of replacing cheap boots every year.

I bought these for slogging through the muck at the bottom of my pond. They were perfect.

I normally wear a women's 12, but needed the wider calf so I got the men's boot instead. It felt a half-size larger than marked, but once I put some big, cozy socks on the boot felt great! I am a Hunter convert now. :)

These really are a great pair of boots. Living in the northeast, I have been using them quite a bit this winter as pseudo-snow boots. Note: they do not keep your feet warm...but with a nice thick pair of socks (which fit comfortably inside the boot) they are very effective at keeping your feet dry. The traction on the bottom also keeps you upright in icy conditions. My pair was true to size. I ordered what I always wear shoe size and they fit fine. The shaft width runs small. I do not have stick thin calves nor do I have very thick ones either (I would say average, athletic calves) and I can slide just a finger between the shaft and my calf. So I'd be wary if you're thicker in the calf. The quality is there and they are super cute with a pair of leggings. I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for a fashion splurge.

I bought these boots for my brother for his birthday. They came fast and he loves them! I was so impressed and I put a huge smile on his face!

The boots are everything I heard/hoped they would be. This is my first pair of Hunter's and they are worth the money. Much more supportive and comfy than other rubber rain boots. I am usually a 7.5, and ordered a size 7. They fit perfectly, even with the Hunter liners and a pair of thin Smartwool socks. These boots are surprisingly warm with the liners. Perfect for cold/wet Missouri winters! I am 5'2 and ordered the original...they do come up quite high, but they aren't uncomfortable. Love Zappos customer service! Thank you!

I have wanted Hunter boots for a while now and finally got them this Christmas. They are exactly what I had imagined. I could not be happier. To me they seem to run a bit small, so I would order the next size up for ease of getting them on and off.
