These fit well even with a custom orthotic in place and a pair of heavier socks over regular socks. They feel sturdy enough for use on Antarctic ice--the reason for the purchase. The tread looks very good. Both my wife and I bought them and we are both very pleased with the purchase. A step up in price brings a real step up in the solid feel of the boots.

I love these boots! I wear a size 12 (women's) so I had to order the men's colors. The black are very classic looking, although a bit "rugged". Every commuter in Chicago has these boots for rainy days and I finally understand why. The calves are oddly small, but fit mine just fine. It was a little tricky to take them off. So comfortable and didn't weigh a million pounds, as they so easily could. I'm excited to get a pair of the booties to go inside and wear them all winter, too. I have no doubt that these shoes will last me the rest of my life.

Hunters are great boots for men, too. I walk a mile every day in my commute, and in Chicago weather, these boots are outstanding. Those little rubber overshoes that many men use will not help in a deep puddle, and your pants will still get wet and stained with salt. Step up to Hunters for real protection. They look smart with both business and casual outfits. They are slim, but not difficult to get on or off. I have walked for miles on both pavement and trails with these, and they are comfortable. Thick wool socks or the Hunter fleece liners are necessary in winter - and with that combo, you will be unstoppable. I get compliments from men and women alike when I wear them. Highly recommended, guys.

I wear a 7.5 and the size 7 fit fine. However, if you have wide calves, don't even bother with the original Hunter boot. They hardly fit and forget about wearing socks or tucking in your pants into the boot.

I ordered the men\'s to accommodate my large, yet very attractive and feminine calves. The boots were still just a little too slim. I\'ve opted to order the adjustable version from a UK company. Nice boot tho\'.

Originally I ordered the women's talls. I don't know what those English women do, but they have the smallest calves in the universe. I sent them back and exchanged them for the men's tall. The added inch allows me to tuck in my jeans and get the boots off without the help of a friend. The best part of my Zappos experience was the shipping. I returned the first pair and ordered the second pair at the same time choosing regular shipping. Zappos upgraded the shipping for my new pair to expedited for free! It's the little things like this that sets companies apart. I will always look to Zappos for good prices, great selection and rockin' customer service.

I'm a tall girl at 6'2, so I decided to get these boots for the extra height. I usually wear a size 11.5 to 12, so I got them in the EU size 43 and they are fine. For a man's boot they're nice and slim, which for me is great. So far I love them, so I hope they wear well!

The quality of these boots are phenomenal! I only wished I had them 8 months ago to survive the wet, slushy winters in Columbus, OH. Highly recommended. In addition, I recommend Zappos for speedy delivery. I received the boots 4 days after order. Wow! Thanks!

Top Quality Boot, Amazing Service - My husband mentioned at the last minute that he would like to have a pair of "Wellies" for Christmas. Great boots! As someone who grew up in England, when you bought waterproof boots, this was the natural choice - everyone there wears them. Now my two sons wear them too. I am just getting to the point where I am considering replacing the pair I have worn for the last 25 years, since the tread is getting a little worn - although I can still wade through shin-deep puddles without even a trace of a leak. How many other boots can you say that about!

Great Red Rubber Boots! Red rubber boots for men? Yes, indeed! I've had these for 2 years, never had a more comfortable pair, and have gotten some favorable comments from both men and women! I wear an 8, got an 8, and the fit was perfect. Also, they are surprisingly light on feet for rubber boots. I would recommend Hunters to anyone, they are well worth the price.

Super boots - A great looking boot. Fit is great. I'm between a 10 and 10.5 US men’s and so the US10/UK11 is a great fit.

Great boots - Purchased these boots for my daughter in college to help her get through the Winters in Syracuse New York. She had UGG Boots and they got soaked and salt stained, her feet were wet most of the time. These are perfect; water proof, warm when worn with the "Wellie Socks" in the Winter and dry feet in the Spring rains.

We grabbed these at the last minute to do some sea kayaking and hiking in Glacier Bay/Alaska. Worked well and kept me cozy warm and dry amongst the rainy, rainy weather. Thanks for the quick delivery. You are my BEST internet order site.

Exactly the boot I needed. I ordered this boot in a size 13 (although I normally wear a size 12) because I have a high instep & wanted room for a sock. Turned out, I ordered exactly the right size. No problem getting the boot on, but a real pain to get it off if not wearing a sock. No problem at all with a sock, but it's always a good idea with a tall boot to have a boot jack, which I made from scrap lumber in 10 minutes. (Too lazy to sit down to pull the boots off.) I ordered this boot to accompany my Golden Retriever on his early morning field runs in tall wet grass. It's a comfortable boot with good support & heel cushioning. No problem at all with width, even though in some walking shoes, I wear a Wide. I couldn't be more pleased that I decided on the Hunter after doing some research on it.

Excellent footwear. Been wearing them for over 13 years. Good for summer wear mainly but overall a worthwhile investment in your feet.

Hunter Wellington Boot - A nice work boot. Soft rubber makes for a comfortable fit, even if your foot is a little wide. If you have large calves, the fit may be tight.

Form and Function - Great look and comfort. Boot gets a bit hot (especially in hot and humid New Orleans) after a few hours. Definitely wear socks that cover your calves.

Great boots. I bought these for my son who just outgrew kid’s sizes. Although they are expensive, they are well worth it. He has hiked through creeks and mud and said they are comfortable. They appear well made and hopefully will last through his younger siblings.

Replacement for cracked Ariat frogs - I got these Hunters to replace my Ariat frogs because the frogs, both the left and right shoe, cracked at the instep, thus rendering them no longer waterproof! So far, so good.

Great Boots - I'm an orthopedic surgeon and wear these in the OR. They are perfectly comfortable for the longest cases. They keep my feet dry during arthroscopic procedures and save my shoes. Great service as always!

Chucker - Finally got the real thing lightening fast from Zappos - as usual. These green genuine Wellingtons are just plain awesome. Heavier rubber, taller shafts, nice snug ankle fitting to keep them from flopping when you walk, nice cushion and some arch support for a rubber boot. Have worked in the yard in them all day with light shorty shocks. Broke them in them at a very shin deep muddy shooting range - easy as pie to clean. In them for a weekend of photography in the woods - mud, streams, rough terrain - hiker or hunting boots never felt this great on wet and muddy ground. Suggest ordering a size smaller than your regular size. Insert a good extra insole for more comfort. Can play with sock weight for a perfect fit. Tried them all day barefoot. No problem barefoot since the linings are smooth. But are tough to pull off moist feet. You may need a boot jack or a strong friend to get them off bare moist feet. You'll need boot legged wider cut Levi's if you want to pull your pants legs down over these boots when you want to wear 'em on sunny or dry days and not attract attention. Yeah, you'll want to wear 'em anytime - rain or shine. Their strong rubber aroma in close quarters will tell others around ya that you're in rubber boots. But that's OK - who cares - you're in real Hunters and proud of the way they smell - grin.

What can I say, awesome boots - not only are they completely practical for all the rain we have been having here as of late, but they also look great, too. Zappos...
