This Naot too narrow for wide feet - I have some Naot boots that I love and are plenty wide enough for my wide toes, but these were way too narrow, and I'm sorry to say I'll have to return them. They'd definitely be very comfortable if they were wide enough. Also, when they're on I think they look a bit matronly. Too bad!

Too narrow - I have very narrow heels, but the bridge of my foot is regular width. These shoes were really comfortable when I was just standing and fit my heels great, but they rubbed the sides of my toes and feet when I walked around. I wish they were just a little bit wider in the toe box because these are very well-made shoes with a padded heel, velcro straps, and a great footbed. Unfortunately, I have very sensitive toes and I had to return these.

These shoes run big -- a 38 feels like a 7.5 US sizing. They are very hard and inflexible, like a clog. They are well-made but not comfortable.

The shoe just was not as comfortable as I expected it to be and I felt the shoes looked too heavy on me.

I've been eyeing Naot for years. I love the style, but the price always seemed high. Finally, I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, while I still the style is phenomenal and the quality is high, I was disappointed by the sizing. Like most European brands, a size 12 M was simply not a size 12. If felt like an 11, maybe even a 10.5. I could put the shoe on, but my feet would have been miserable by the end of the day. Sadly, when your feet are on the large end of the size spectrum, you don't have the option of sizing up. This puts Naot up with Dansko in the "I wish I could wear them, but they don't have my size" category. A pity.

I was shocked putting this shoe on. The first thing I noticed was the extra length up front: size 41/10 was as long as a US size 11. I could have tolerated the extra-long style, but the reason I'm sending it back is that it was extremely ill-fitting, with a half inch of extra space on the outer foot. Not the right shoe for me.

I guess Naot brand is just not for me. The toe box is too shallow or maybe just too narrow. I even went up a full size from my normal and these were way too tight on my toes. That is a bummer because the style is exactly what I needed. The arch support felt great, but my toes were being crushed.

Um - did something happen? I'm finding it hard to believe that these are the same shoes that got all the great reviews. My problem was the lack of quality in the interior: (a) the insert did not seem to have much cushion, much less comfort, and (b) the insert seemed to be cut too small for the shoe, and I could feel quite a gap where the sole and the side of the shoe met, and it rubbed. Ouch. I also gave it a medium ranking for style - while the style is cute, when the shoe actually reached me the bow had been twisted in the box, leaving it sticking out at a weird and apparently unalterable angle. The sides also did come up too high under my ankle bone, but I run into that with a lot of shoes, so this is not exceptionable. These shoes do run narrow but so does my foot, and the overall size seemed perfect.

A pleasure it was not. After reading all of the great reviews, I was so excited to order this shoe. As the shoe description states, this is definitely a narrower style. I have a moderate bunion on my left foot and after wearing the shoes around the house for 10 minutes, the compression became uncomfortable. Sad because I really liked the style and it would've been perfect for work.

Normally I gush about Naot - I have six different styles, they are the only brand my cranky, bunioned, arthritic feet can wear all day. However, these shoes are the exception, so much so that I'm thinking of selling them on eBay. It perplexes me why these hurt when the Naot Kiss, a nearly identical style, is blissfully comfortable.

When it comes to closed-toe shoes, I wear Naots almost exclusively. I struggle with plantar fasciitis and went from wearing heels almost exclusively to wearing “sensible shoes” and hating it, so I was excited to see heels, if modest ones, in the Naot line. Unfortunately, they do NOT work for me. As others have mentioned, the toe box is REALLY narrow and tight across the top, especially for my high arches—when I finally managed to squeeze my foot in (for stubbornness’s sake), the top of my foot bulged unattractively. Additionally, part of the reason I ordered them was because they supposedly have a removable insole. I tried multiple times and ways to remove the insole, but either it’s such a tight fit that it’s impossible to remove, or it’s not designed to be. Given I’d already mostly decided to return them by then, I didn’t want to risk damaging the shoes by yanking the insole out. I wish they’d worked for me as I do like the style, but it was not meant to be.

I have worn these shoes about 10 times and they are breaking in pieces. The soul cracked and pieces are falling apart and the heel is also loosing pieces. Even a shoe that has been heavily used should not have this problem. I am quite shocked at the quality of the shoe.

I have a couple pairs of the Kirei style, and thought I'd try these for a change. I found them very uncomfortable though. The toe box is too narrow, and the material too stiff. I'll be returning them.

Got it on the 2nd day after order. I started walking with it inside my home without socks after opening the box. It felt great and I was really loving the cushion feeling inside. I even used it with blue jeans going out on a date over the weekend and I was falling in love with it. My office hours are M-F 7a-330p. Walking from the employee's parking structure all the way to the office across the street and using stairs would definitely show how much support it really has. I have worn it every work day for almost 3 weeks. The cushion feeling was just not there any longer. Today, I said, "that's it - I'm returning it!" My feet hurt and I have to find another shoe that would give me the support at work. I'm so sad, because this shoes are really pretty.

First let me start out by complimenting Zappos customer service. It was outstanding in returning these shoes and I loved the experience. I even got a card from the Zappos customer service rep with an awesome note and Intl passport stickers all over it. I am a flight attendant and I must find a shoe that is comfortable considering the amount of time I am on my feet. I am a size 10 and the first pair I ordered was a size 41 and way too small. They are cute but I returned them right away. The next size I ordered was a 42 and they fit in length but the width was very narrow. I usually wear a Med 10, but when I put these on my pinky toes hurt immediately and I went right to UPS to return them. I could see my pinky toe trying to pop out of the shoe. I am disappointed in the reviews and I feel that the good reviews must be for narrow feet. I measured the width of my foot with a tape measure (from the outside ball of my big toe straight across to the outside of the bottom of my pinky toe and it was 3.5 inches) just to give you an idea of the width of this shoe. Also, I saw both the smooth black leather and the crinkled patent leather. I love patent leather but I did not like the crinkle in the Crinkled shoe. If you want to try these and have a foot that is not narrow, order the next size up because they run small. Also, measure your foot like I did and if it is near this measurement, do not get these. I just ordered Clarks Sugar Spice and I am waiting on Clarks Sugar Plum to be ordered. Not as cute but probably more comfortable in width.

I read the Zappos customer reviews very carefully, and until now, the general consensus of buyer opinion about each pair of shoes has been right on. Not so with the Naot Pleasure. There are many, many rave reviews of this shoe -- and I don't quite know why. I found that I dislike this show enough to write about it, something I've never done until now. First of all, the shoe is narrow. Not just narrow fitting, but narrow looking. Kind of ugly. The vamp is too high, and it cuts into your foot; plus, it looks weird. The photos online make it look classic; it is not. The heel and sole of the shoe look clunky and dated. The little bow thing on the strap, which looks cute in the photos online, looks really cheap. It's removable, which is good for those who like the shoe. The shoe seems to have good support; however, I could not really tell because in addition to being really narrow, the shoe is a bit short. I have other Naots -- I have several pair of Naots that I love -- that fit me perfectly in a size 40. Not the Naot Pleasure. Overall, I found the Naot Pleasure to be narrow, short, and not at all nice looking on my feet.

These are very pretty shoes, but instead of running one size larger, I found they are at least one size smaller! I usually wear an 8½ or a 9, but I am going to have to return these for at least a 9 or 9½.

I love Naot shoes and this is one of about ten pairs. If you plan on wearing it casually with jeans it probably doesn't matter, but if you plan on wearing them with office or dressy clothes in my opinion they are worthless.
