From reviews, it was recommended to size up, which I did. However, they were still extremely tight. I should also note that I do not have wide feet and have never had issues with my shoes being too tight. I continued to wear the boots hoping the leather would stretch out but after a month of wearing them, and very little give... I began developing a bunion! Embarrassing to share so publicly but it happened. I can no longer wear these boots and it took a few months for my feet to get back to normal. This was my first Frye pair and sadly, I will NEVER buy Frye boots again. Now I have a practically brand new (very expensive) pair of boots collecting dust in my closet :( Quality materials brings my 1 star to a 2.

I normally wear is 7 1/2 but I went with an eight due to the reviews saying that they run snug in the toes and they fit perfectly. I still have to break them in but Ive had friyes before and it shouldnt be a long process. I originally purchased the slate, but I felt I wanted a warmer color brown, so I exchanged it for redwood and they are just what I was hoping for

The boots slouch more in person than they appear in the images online.

Love them! The leather is soft and very comfortable. I noticed on some reviews that they had issues with the fit suggesting bigger size. I went with my size 6.5 and they fit perfectly! I love them very much that I got the black, redwood and the distressed black/brown. Definitely recommend them.

This paid was exactly what I was looking for. I normally wear 7 or 7.5. For boots, I usually buy 7.5. I've bought another pair of FRYE in size 7.5 but they turned out a bit too small. I had to give them away to my sis. So this time I ordered a half size up, size 8 and fits perfect. I think FRYE boots do run a bit narrow for regular width feet.

Love this boot- however I am a solid size 8 and I had to send it back and order a size 8.5. A bit disappointed that Frye doesn't offer free returns so the shipping alone cost me $40 to get an expensive pair of boots in a size that fits (just a suggestion to Frye- your shipping labels say "Simple returns OR exchanges" but you don't actually offer exchanges.

I ended up returning the boots because they were too big. Im in between sizes I choose to size up to a 10. Even if they would have fit, I wasnt a fan that the upper part of the boot wasnt stiff enough. I probably would have sent them back anyway.

I love these boots! They are very stylish & comfortable. I ordered size 9. I have a narrow foot and the 9 is great. I do have a little slippage around the heel on the left foot, but not the right. If I wear another sock on the left foot that should take care of that. I look forward to wearing these boots for many years.

Perfect height, perfect slight amount of slouch, beautiful leather. I wear a size 9 running shoe and the 9 fits perfect. Be aware there isnt a zipper. I have tiny ankles and appreciate being able to tighten the buckle for a comfortable fit.

These boots are way too narrow! I had a professional shoe guy stretch them out and they barely stretched any at all. They are also way too heavy! I cant wear them. These boots were a complete waste of money!

Great on style on and construction but the sizing was much too small. Ive tried your brand over the years, hopeful to own a pair. I wear a 10 and can barely get them on. No half sizes and the next size up is much too big. Alas, Frye boots will not be part of my wardrobe.

These arrived last night. Beautiful boots; so well crafted. Difficult to get into, but there is no way the size was correct. I am the sam size in Sperry shoes, Coach boots and Asics. These were tight; no room for socks. Ended up sending them back.

These boots are beautiful but narrow. I have wide toes and narrow heels, so I always struggle with shoes, but I was surprised by the cut. Had to return them, sadly.

So excited to receive my Veronica boots I always wear a size 7 Can't even get my foot into the boots. Went online to exchange up to a size 8 (because that is how small they are) & nothing left in an 8 or a 7 1/2 . Anyone out there got a pair too big they want to trade ?

I purchased the 6.5 and was surprised by how much my heel lifted with each step and I was wearing my regular everyday socks - not comfortable - so I sent them back thinking the 6 would be perfect. I was so excited. Sadly they are simply too tight, so they are being returned also...

I didn't like that the boot leg has a baggy/saggy, loose fit which is not how it's pictured in the photo. I bought them to wear to work in a professional office and this look is too casual. Returned them. High quality leather and fit true to size just not what I was expecting.

I've owned the Veronica Short boots for about 10 years. My old pair was starting to show its age so this year it was time for a new pair. My older ones just seem so much nicer than the newer ones. The leather used on the older ones seems like a much higher quality leather than what's on the new ones. Kind of disappointed... the boots on the left in the pictures are my old ones (don't mind the scuffs they are very old) and the ones on the right are the new ones.
