Love, love, love these boots! I typically wear a 7, ordered a 7, and they fit perfectly. They are comfy and way cool!

Just received these in black and love them! I wear an 8 and they were true to size. There is slight slippage in the heel, but that is how boots are supposed to fit. These will last me many years as my other Frye boots have!

I loved these boots from the moment I put them on my feet. I wear a 9.5 usually and these fit like they were made for me. No break in period needed.

These are the most beautiful pair of boots I own! The leather is butter soft. I feel like I'm wearing a comfy slipper. The fit is perfect; it doesn't need to be broken in. The color is incredibly beautiful and will go with almost any color I'm wearing. It will look great with skinny jeans or short skirts. I am going to be getting lots of wear out of these gorgeous boots! I highly recommend them.

Absolutely love these boots. Comfortable, great looking, came in so many color choices. The leather is real nice quality.

I have 6 pair of Frye Boots. I been eye balling these Veronica Shorties for 10 years. These are awesome. The best looking boots in the world. They make anybody look good! Quality of the leather is outstanding. Yes, you can wear them with dresses, pants, shorts, bath suits. You will look stunning. Buy them. I love them. Comfort, your feet will be in heaven. I am 64 years old, and they make me look good. Hee hee!

Many many years ago I bought a pair of Frye boots because they were so beautiful. Alas...the love affair was very short...the darn things were really uncomfortable and I figured I didn't have the lifespan required to break the stiff leather down enough to wear them more than a few minutes. So when I fell in love with the looks of these boots...I was very slow to pull the trigger. I read zillions of reviews..most of them actually using the word "comfortable" (!!!) I agonized over suede vs tanned..distressed vs calm...dark vs light...but when I found these "suede in camel" for a great price..I took the leap. I went with my regular size in street shoes because i planned to wear very thin socks or stockings with them. I LOVE these boots !!! The leather is very soft and they have perfectly slight "slouch", casual but not sloppy. The sole has rubber over the leather in the toe and heel so there are no issues with slipping on waxed or wet surfaces. They needed a few outings to be bedroom slipper comfortable but were wearable to a party right out of the box. I'm very happy with the decision to go undistressed as these can dress up pretty good with the right dress, but still look ranch-y with slim jeans and such. I bought these as a "spring/summer" boot. If I wanted to wear a regular or heavier sock for colder weather I would need to go up from my 6 1/2 to a 7.

I read some other reviews that said basically to stick with these if they feel a tad small, and now I think I may be stuck with a pair of very expensive boots that are digging into my right heel and causing a blister. I ordered a range of sizes and a range of colors, so I can tell you these things: The colors with "soft" in the name run larger and have much more give, and are more slouchy than the other colors like any of the burnished. The soles on the "soft" colored ones are more rubber and bendable as well. Please note that in the video the model is showing red soft, that is why they are so bendy. I ordered just about every color before I settled on Black Burnished. The Slate Burnished is what I thought I wanted, but once I saw the Black Burnished I fell in love. The Black Burnished is more charcoal gray. The Slate Burnished seems to have a bit of a pink tint to it. I did not want plain black because I am tired of plain black boots. Now to sizing. I am unbelievably frustrated on this point. I wear a size 7, sometimes a 7½. The size 7 I could not even get on my feet, the 7½ seemed to fit, and I even ordered an 8 which were like flip-flops they were slipping off my feet so badly. I was not surprised with that because I have never worn a size 8 in my life. I kept the 7½ and settled on the Black Burnished. Today is the second time I have worn them and my right heel is pretty blistered from the cup of the heel digging into the back of my heel. The left one is fine! I find that inconsistency unacceptable for Frye. I tried some moleskin to no avail because since it is my heel, the moleskin just bunches up as the heel moves. For such an expensive pair of boots I find this aggravating. I really want these to work out so I am going to keep trying get the heel to stretch. I am even going to try the whole Ziploc bag with water and put it in the boot and put it in the freezer trick. I may take them to a cobbler and see if he can bend back the cup of the heel. The boots are gorgeous. Usually I would just return and give up, but these are so gorgeous. The leather is very sturdy. The shaft is plenty wide enough for my huge legs (17" calves). The Black Burnished color is beautiful (has a black sole as opposed to a brownish sole with the Slate Burnished). The shaft on the burnished is not very slouchy, it stands up on its own. My feet are not wide by any means, but these are a tad too narrow. If you have wide feet these won't work for you. I believe the width of these will stretch enough for me over time. The right heel, I will continue to worry about. Please note that the Frye boots site lists the Veronica boots differently and does not call any of them "shortie". They are all "short" on the Frye site. Frye breaks them out by burnished, and soft, etc. But they are all short. I have no idea why Zappos calls them "shortie" but it seems to be just a Zappos thing. The differentiation is more in the color lines.

Sizing - I read all of these reviews and it was confusing. I ended up ordering both a size 8 1/2 and a 9. The 8.5 were snug in my foot but my toes had enough room and the size 9 my heel completely came out. I am normally a size 9. After talking to someone at Frye, they told me these boots would stretch about 1/4 inch all over and would take up to a month to really be broken in. He said ideally you want your foot to be snug like a firm handshake and have room in your toes and a little room in your heel (with socks) because the foot and heel would stretch and become molded to your foot. Within six hours at work the foot of my boot already stretched and they fit great. These boots are perfect! Exactly what I wanted.

I love these boots. I always wear an 8 in Frye's, and I almost went up to an 8.5 based on other reviews, but I am so glad I didn't. The 8's are perfect, and almost a little loose with thin socks. Super comfy, cute and great quality, as always from Frye. I wanted some black "motorcyle" like boots like this, so I originally ordered some cheap Dolce Vita boots with a similar look because they were only $50 on another site but such a waste. Fell apart immediately and were not comfortable at all. I know the price point is completely different, but the $250 difference is completely worth it. I will not make the mistake and try and cheap out on boots again! I have several pairs of Frye's and a pair that has lasted me 10+ years and going strong. It is well worth the money to go with Frye, especially in a style like this that will look great forever. In addition, Zappos did not fail to deliver - always impressed by quick shipping (next day!) and excellent customer service.

I already knew that I wanted these exact boots before I found them on Zappos. I had tried them on in a retail store. I love the soft slightly slouchy leather. They have a very sturdy sole. Fryes makes such good quality boots. Depending on the shoe, I wear size 7.5 or 8. For this boot, the 7.5 fit better, as they seem to be extra roomy.

These Veronica Shortie boots from Frye are a sturdy, good looking boot. They run a bit big and I suggest you go down a half size because the leather will soften and stretch. I also wear a thicker sock for more warmth and comfort. The perfect short boot for skinny jeans or with leggings and a skirt! I love the Frye brand in boots and handbags!

I ordered the black shortie bout and I love them! I originally ordered my regular size (8.5) but they were a little snug so I returned them for a 9. They fit like a glove with & without socks. The leather is so soft and so sturdy. The heel isn't too high and it just looks well built. I thought I'd only wear them with few things, but I've worn them every day for a straight month because they go fabulous with everything! This is my third pair of Frye boots and really you can't go wrong with Frye! They just look better the more you wear them.

It really doesn't get much better than these bad boys. Ordered the black antique color and they are the shiznit. The leather is gorgeous, the boot is so comfy and I will have them forever! Frye boots do not disappoint...I have many pairs and they are the best.

Absolutely loved these boots, quality is excellent, leather is very supple, is worth every dime! Can go with almost every outfit. I wear a size 7 and they did run big, sadly had to return them and go for a half size down. Been with Zappos for awhile now and they have provided me with exceptional service, I will always continue to shop with them. Zappos Rocks!
