I love the style of this boot. I remember it from a photo spread that Gwyneth Paltrow did in InStyle magazine. I ordered that 9.5. I'm somewhere between a 9 and a 9.5 usually. I plan to reorder in the smaller size.

These boots are beautiful! I brought them with me to San Miguel de Allende, MX because the cobblestone streets are hard on thin soles. Wore them today for the first time--all day long. I walked for miles around the city. They were made for rugged streets, yet are so sharp and trendy. I highly recommend if you are looking for a cool boot, one with style, that will hold up well in rough terrain or to wear with jeans and skirts.

I LOVE these boots. I've had the exact same pair in a different color for several years and wanted a brown pair of boots for work and going out. I wear them with tights and skirts/dresses and love them with jeans and pants to. I'm not a skinny jeans person (I'm a size 8-10 with thick calves and don't think skinny jeans are flattering for my figure) but I do like straight leg and the newer slim leg jeans, which tuck easily into these boots. I am a physician and am on my feet all day and when I wear these boots I don't come home with sore legs or feet! The only other shoes I can wear all day without aching legs and feet are Dansko clogs. I love the clogs, but even though they come in every color/stripes/flowers/polka dots, etc.... I've gotten bored of them. These boots are timeless and my patients always they are adorable (even they must be bored of my clogs :)). They are also extremely well made and, as noted above, very comfortable. I usually wear a 9 1/2 in shoes and if I just wear tights or thin socks with these boots they are a little loose, but if I wear a winter sock, they fit perfectly. I decided to keep this size and just wear some slightly thicker socks that just go to my ankle, along with my tights. These boots come in a large number of colors: the traditional chocolate brown; full grain black leather; regular (is there a name for it?) black leather; "treated" colors and a few others. The best! I wear a true 7 usually, but have a 6.5 in my other Fryes. I ordered the 6.5 and 7 in this boot, and kept the 7. Comfortable enough on the inside to not even wear socks. Obsessed. Although, the bottom of the boot is not as brown as it is in the photo, more black.

I've brought these on vacation as my only shoes & had no problem walking all day in them. I love how structured they feel without being really heavy or bulky. I've worn them with jeans, tights, and dresses and it all works. I wish they were waterproof, but oh well. I can add a sealant to them. Your heel will slip out when you walk -- this does not mean it's too small. It's just how slip on boots are built. I'd definitely buy these again.

Love these boots but had to send back and order a half size larger. Also felt they were narrow in width but the half size larger feel great on my feet! Get lots of compliments on these boots!

I always start by saying that I have the pickiest feet in the world. Surgically repaired bunions both feet which means about 10 staples and screws between my two feet. Also scoliosis which means my back also does not like a whole lot of shoes. My feet and back both love these boots. I have the antique taupe color- beautiful. I will admit that I did not buy them on Zappos. I prefer to buy on Zappos but found them online at a large department store for cheaper - the catch was they were only available in a half size larger than I needed (wear 9½, got 10). I went for it - it has been fine. Perfect fit with fall and winter's bulkier socks. Many people have mentioned the heel being loose - it is a bit but not bothersome to me - I am used to Dansko shoes that do this on purpose. No blisters anywhere. They are truly the kind of shoes that you do not take off the second you get home. They go with everything. I get tons of compliments on them, which I find amusing because they are really not anything fancy. The best part - they make a slight jingle when I walk like I am wearing spurs! I would order them in red in a second if they were not so expensive.

I have larger calves, and these boots provide a stylish and fun option for me. The leather is high quality and the boot is comfortable. I am very happy with my purchase.

Love them! I think they run a half size big tho. I always wear a 9 in my Frye's, and the 9 was just too big. I ordered an 8 1/2 and they are perfect! I want them in every color, not gonna lie.

I love these boots! Go with everything and actually very comfy. I did end up sizing down (I wear 8.5, ended up with and 8) and maybe could have gone down even more since I don't really wear thick socks. But glad I kept the 8 because it gives me the option to wear a thicker sock if want to.

These are absolutely amazing! The quality cannot be matched. They run half a size larger, but not enough to return as I want the option to wear heavier socks on colder days. I own another pair of Frye boots, so the same goes for them. The smell and feel of the leather is true quality. Craftsmanship - unsurpassed. I do not know the difference between the Short and the Shortie. All I know is the Shortie is perfect, slightly lower than mid calf but not a bootie. Easy on and easy off with the perfect slouch. They do not look too sloppy, rustic, and classy. A staple for a woman of fashion's wardrobe. I got the vintage dark brown leather- perfect color. Can easily wear with black without breaking fashion rules. I just love them and they are worth every penny.

I had ordered both the Frye Shortie and Short versions of this boot. The Shortie offers more of a selection of colors and the leather is a softer leather. This gives this boot a bit of a slouchy appearance but not too slouchy like the Veronica Slouch. I do recommend ordering your normal size in Frye boots. The fit may appear tight at first but will stretch as you wear them to your personal foot. I own 3-4 pairs of Frye boots and this is always the case with every model I have. I do always order different sizes just to be sure but, I always keep my normal size. I love the look of these boots! The length on top is just one inch shorter that the Short model- being 5 ft. - it doesn't appear to make a difference. I wear them with my slim jeans or tights with dresses but wear socks that stick out from the top. It's a great laid back look that I love!
