I have an old pair of these very same shoes that I loved so I ordered a new pair. After receiving the new shoes I wore them a few times and the strap on top is very tight and very uncomfortable. I am going to have to get them stretched (if I can).

I bought these shoes based on previous reviews but I'm very disappointed. In my opinion these shoes are poorly made. They felt tight on my feet mainly because the tight elastic but were wide. I like nice high quality shoes but these are not well made and not worth the price.

These shoes are lovely and comfortable, but the soles are very thin. There are only a few widely spaced rubber bumps between the leather and the ground. I do not think that they will last more than a season, and they are very expensive for such a short shoe life. I will probably return them. They are not a good value for the price.

Received this today and the comfort is wonderful. However the strap across the top is way too big and sticks up. Even with the highest arch this wouldn't fit. Going back.

I'm still disappointed with this shoe. Bought it thinking it was going to be super comfortable but found it to have no arch support and a very, very thin bottom. The strap is elastic but made of a stiff material that leaves marks in my skin even through socks. They also have no tread on the bottom. I was looking for a replacement for my Ecco mary janes, but I should have just bought new Eccos.

Owned these shoes a couple years ago, but this time disappointed. The Elastic strap across the top of the shoe is very tight and cuts into my foot. Also, seems like the sole is very fragile. Just wore them around the house for a couple days hoping the elastic would stretch and in that short time the sole started to show signs of wear along the edges. Not the quality I've come to love from Gentle Souls in the past.

I bought these shoes to replace a pair of Geox I had that were a similar style. I wore them around the house to make sure they were comfy. They felt fine. I took them on a trip to London and wore them to walk to dinner one night...within two blocks my feet were rubbed raw and bleeding. These shoes are terrible! I wish I could return them, but I don't think Zappos would appreciate the blood stained leather! I caution all...do not buy these!
