I'm a wedding photographer. The job is super physical and requires about 10-12 hours on my feet straight, with a lot of squatting, running and generally getting myself very dirty. I was skeptical when these arrived because the leather feels very thin, and it doesn't appear to be that supportive. But so far so good! Our last wedding was 14 hours (ouch) in the mountains of Montana, and these shoes were champs. My feet didn't hurt afterward, and the shoe held up great. I strongly recommend! Also, they don't look hideous like most of my wedding shooting shoes.

Ever since I injured my foot a few years ago, I have searched for shoes I can wear to work. I can't wear heels, so these flats work great. Good support in the arch. Good for standing all day. The only issue I have is pain in my right pinky toe if I wear them to the mall.

I bought these for my upcoming wedding, so all of my experience is from walking around the house. That being said, I tried many (many) pairs of flats and these were the first ones that I put on and immediately loved. The only real bit of pizazz comes from the strap, but it's made than make up for with the comfort. Unlike most flats, these guys rely on a strap to hold the shoe to your feet. This means they don't dig into the back of your heels or cut off circulation to your toes.

Love these shoes. This is my third pair and I actually wore them to my daughter's wedding and was able to dance all night. I have very high arches and have a hard time finding shoes that fit comfortable, and look good. I give them A+.

I love these shoes. I wear these all the time. I have had them for maybe 2 years and ready to buy the Bayside. Gentle Souls is my brand. They are always very comfortable and fit my style perfectly. If you want comfortable flats, these would be the ones! I highly recommend these.

The softest shoe I've ever had, but does have arch support. Top leather feels like butter! Beautiful shoe.

Wonderful comfort in excellent quality materials. Ran a full size large for my wide foot, which caused my heel to pull out of the shoe when taking a step. Perhaps a size smaller would remedy this.

I can never find shoes that fit me.I have long skinny feet with the 2nd toe longer then the rest. I am overweight so all shoe are uncomfortable. But then I found Gentle Souls and I am in love. They are comfortable, soft, nice looking. I can actually wear them all day and my feet don't hurt. I have bought three pair already. They are so expensive for my budget or I would have more in every color. Try them they are great.

These maryjanes are very cute and comfy and the leather is super soft. They don't need to be broken in at all as they are supple right out of the box. However, they are a bit too wide which makes the fit sloppy. If there was no strap across the top I would walk right out of these shoes. Also even though they have what appears to be some arch support it's really not noticeable when you have them on and the footbed is barely cushioned. I bought them for a trip to London and unfortunately they just won't work. It's a lot of money to spend if you're not completely in love with them. I also ordered a pair of Clarks Janey Junes which are adorable, stylish, soft and much more supportive and comfortable so they will be taking the trip across the pond with me!

Beautiful shoe but elastic is too tight and needs break in time that I don't have. Larger size will be too long. Back of heel rubs.

I wanted to love these. They are adorable. But not deep enough for a custom orthotic. I was tempted to go without an orthotic, but the balls of my feet felt constricted, and I could see trouble ahead.

These have great arch support and feel great right out of the box. Worn them for years - very durable, super soft leather & look good with jeans that cover the strap. Highly recommend it for those who want the look of flats but need arch support.

This is my 3rd pair of these shoes and I love them. Very comfortable to wear anywhere anytime.

Lovely shoes. I am returning because of fit issues - the strap across the foot is really nice quality and made of leather (I think?) not elastic, and it is too big. Does not hold the shoe on my foot, which is what I need out of a Maryjane due to my narrow heel. These are beautiful shoes and worth the money though, I wish they worked for me. Will try another style from Gentle Souls. Great arch support as well.

They're making these shoes bigger than before! The 5's that I received were about a whole size larger than the 5's that I already own!

Very comfy flat. Doesn't need a break in period. Not much arch support but I was looking for instant comfort, not a shoe that requires days and days of wearing before the shoe doesn't hurt in spots! rather pricey and I usually will not pay full price for this brand. But I needed a pair for walking that could also look good with a dress or nice slacks or leggings. They were great for that purpose.

All of the Gentle Souls run very large -- a generous 1/2 size too large. But, when you get the size right, they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

Very disappointed in this shoe. Reviews said it had memory foam in soles; but found the soles to be very uncomfortable. No comfort.

Shoes are a full size too big! I am a true 9, these are marked 9 but are at least a 10 or even 101/2!! Sending back!!!

bought these a few years back, despite complaints that they scuffed far too easily. They do, but still, I wore the first pair into utter oblivion. They are well crafted - I'm still wearing the original pair around the house. I bought the new pair because I loved the originals so much. I still love the style and the fit, but they've changed the design considerably. The strap across the top used to be a soft elastic. Now it's a very rigid, plastic-y band with a little give but a LOT of digging in if you have a high instep like I do. And they've put these little wedges on the inside of the shoe on either side of the arch of the foot. I feel them. I think they're supposed to feel like little massage points, but mostly they feel a bit sharp and unyielding. I feel a bit like I went to visit an old hippie friend only to discover that she's gone full-on Sex Pistols punk. I still love them, but so far they aren't as comfortable as they used to be. The original pair I started wearing with no break-in period. I'm sure I'll wear these into comfort eventually, but three wearings in they are still shocking my feet with a bit of that punk-ish attitude. Oh, and they've done nothing to fix the scuffing issue. Already, the soft leather is showing scratches and scuff marks.

These are so cute and stylish but the strap dug into the top of my foot and the back hit at an awkward height which was uncomfortable, so I had to return.

I just expected more out of these shoes for the price and reviews. Perhaps a half size larger would have felt better, but they just weren't that comfortable.

Very disappointed - I thought it would be really comfortable. Not in the class with Naot. The arch support is not comfortable.

These shoes run at least a half size two big and wide. I am a 9.5 medium width. These also are a bit too shiny.
