Terrific comfort - A go-to shoe for comfort. Not enough support or cushioning for an all day pounding of the urban streets of Manhattan. I love wearing these for quick trips out or around the house with my black leggings. I bought the smooth leather, then came back for the black suede ones. Would love to see them made with the strap closer to the toes, or a criss cross strap design.

Lovin it - They are very nice- I just love them- will probably look at more styles.

Sweet and oh so cozy soft! These ballet-inspired mary jane-style shoes are incredible--like a glove for your foot. The leather is the softest I have EVER felt (no chance of blisters) with ultimate molding to your shape. Soooo cute, with the slightest shape at the toe. The strap, by the way, is also leather, not cheap elastic and the arch support is substantial--on inner AND outer instep. Unbelievable comfort AND quality AND style!

Love these shoes! I wish there were more shoes that offer style and comfort.

Beautiful shoe, comfortable for being so flat, arches good (I have high arches.) I have a very narrow foot and the strap was extremely long for me, though. Too bad.

I love these! First I ordered them in black, wore them once and immediately ordered the bronze color. These are the shoes that are soft enough wear immediately, with no "break-in" period, yet structured enough that they don't look messy or floppy. They work with jeans or skirts and they have just enough support that you don't feel like you're pounding on the floor when you walk. This is the everyday shoe, the one you run to the store in, the one you tuck into your purse or in the car for when those "other" shoes become objects of torture.

These shoes have had me perplexed for a while now. I first ordered a size 10 which is what I typically wear. When I tried them on the 10 was too big, so I sent off for a 9.5. The 9.5 fit great but the arch support felt so strange and as I examined both arch supports I could see that they were made differently. So again, I sent off for another 9.5 thinking that the ones I had were not made correctly. Well the new 9.5 came and I realized that both 9.5's were made completely different. The only similarities were that they were both black and had a strap. The sole was stiched on one pair and glued on the other, the texture and look of the leather was shiney on one pair and dull on the other. One pair had a tighter strap while the other pair's strap was loose and comfy. I ended up sticking with the first 9.5 that they sent me because the leather was nice and buttery soft and the strap wasn't tight and constricting like on the other pair. The first day that I wore my Gabbys the stitching on the bottom of the shoe starting coming apart...hmmmm. The only thing I know to do at this point is just have someone local fix the stitching, but I will have to say that I truly love the way they look and now that I've worn them a few times I like the way they feel too. Just about every type of shoe gives me blisters, but these never did. I wouldn't recommend them for long walks across a foreign country or anything, but they are nice comfy day to day casual shoes. Again, I'm a little perplexed on the way this shoe is manufactured, but I am happy (execpt for the stitching on the sole) with this product.

Cute but flax cushioning can hurt - This is actually an update to a previous review now that I've had them for a while. They're still cute and go with lots of things (black), but gosh, does that arch support hurt! The inner one is fine, but please note there is an outer one on each foot as well. It does NOT work with my natural foot shape and most shoes--even comfort ones--do not have this. I'm tempted to have it removed. Also, because the leather is so soft, you might notice your own foot shape becoming the shape of the shoe; for some this may not be a good thing.

Gentle Souls are wonderful comfortable shoes, and I was very tempted to keep these, however they just are missing a little something that would make them an attracted flat and instead look a bit frumpy. They also appear that the supple leather, while very comfortable, would start stretching quickly and bulge where your foot does rather than retain the mary jane shape. It also wouldn't take much for the elastic to stretch, leaving a shoe that flops on your foot (and it's actually loose enough and runs just a tad big that it already was doing it - so it would only get worse. I wanted to like this shoe as the souls was the classic cushy, supportive soul that GS is known for - alas this wasn't to be.

The shoe itself fit fine but I expected more substance to the leather. It was very much like a ballet shoe. The leather was thin around the toes.

The footbed was wonderful, and actually wide enough for my almost-wide feet! But the shoe feels short vertically: the top of my foot feels crushed, especially by the strong strap. Also, the shoe gives a little bit of a duck foot look.

This shoe didn't work for me. The leather is soft, and the arch support is good, but the styling just didn't cut it. The toe is very wide, but very shallow. This gave a very duck-toed look to what should have been a ballerina look. Also, my big toenails were poking up through the leather, which wasn't comfortable. The elastic band across the instep was too tight on me, and the back of the shoe cut into me. I absolutely love Gentle Souls high heels, which is funny, because I'm a Birkenstock kind of gal. I normally wear and 8 1/2 and that's the size I ordered. It fit, but just wasn't the shape of my foot. For the price of this shoe should have felt like a bedroom slipper to me.

Not cute at all. Boxy, sorta orthopedic shoe looking. That being said, it serves the purpose of a super-comfy shoe that doesn't slide off my narrow heels because of the strap. Just not nearly as sophisticated or chic as I was hoping. I wear it to work and change into better looking shoes once I get there.

Comfortable, but... Great, comfy, so soft...but they don't look that great on...styling not flattering to my large foot! Also color is limiting.

I love these shoes. This is my third pair! Super comfortable and cute. I can wear them all day long. Worth the price.

This is the fifth pair of Gabby Gentle Souls I have purchased. I have a very difficult time finding flats I am comfortable wearing. I recommend them without reservation.

These are cute ballet flats with an elastic band for security. They are pretty comfortable except when walking on pavement for more than a couple of hours.
