I have multiple pairs of Naot shoes - I live in their sandals all summer, and also have two pairs of the Kirei mary jane. I am a US 11, and always a 43 in Naot (except for Kayla, where I'm a 44) so I ordered these in the 43 without concern even though Naot advises they run large; the Kirei (also from the Koru collection) also says "fit runs large," but is perfect for me (my toes even brush the front, but not uncomfortably so). To my disappointment, this pair are genuinely big. Unlike the secure fit I have in the Kirei, I can feel my heel moving around and the shoe gaps where the strap fastens. I fear a 42 will be small, however (I can't even wear a 42 in their sandals as my toes hang off the edge). I'm baffled, as the footbed, sole, and shape are identical to the Kirei - the only differences are the angled strap and the swirled contrast - yet the fit is completely different. They of course are of course typical Naot beautiful leather and comfort footbed, they're just...big. Still deciding whether or not to keep them.

The brown leather is a bit metallic looking. It was hard to tell that online. They are fairly comfy. I was hoping for killer arch support, but didn't get it. Overall, an okay shoe, but it didn't knock my socks off (so to speak).

Great shoe – but… Read the reviews and sized down and it worked great. Problem is that after a month of wear, the shoe has really stretched out.

I love Naot, a big fan! I own several pairs of boots. I loved the look of these, and they are high quality as usual with one design flaw -- because the strap is at an angle instead of crossing straight over the ankle, the metal buckle where the strap folds hits right at the highest bony spot on the top of the foot. It was painful for me to take even a few steps. Maybe they will fit others differently, but for me they were a definite and immediate No. Too bad. My other Naots have excellent craftmanship and have held up beautifully.

I am an 11N in Aravons.. In other brands I can wear Medium width in 10,10.5 or 11, depending on the model. This is my first try of Naot and I would say it was slightly wide and a hair too long. The footbed was cushy but utterly flat. These possibly could have worked with orthotics but I am returning them due to a strange bulge on the inner side of the right shoe. It looks like a defect in the construction. As for the positive, I liked how the way the top of the shoe slanted in order to cover the bunion prone area of my foot rather than cut into it. I'll try with my orthotic and if the fit is better I will attempt to exchange for a non deformed pair, but otherwise, these are going back.

Comfortable & attractive, but after 1 month of use, the bottom sole started to disintegrate (literally!). Either it's a manufacturing defect or I got a bad pair. I complained to Naot but they never responded, great customer service! Never buy again.

When I first put these shoes on, they felt very comfortable; however after wearing them around the house, I discovered that the arch in the left shoe does not conform to the arch of my foot. As a result, I cannot wear these shoes for very long. I'm tempted to send them back except I'm not sure they would give me full credit for them. I would be willing to take an exchange on another pair of shoes of comparable value. I'm not satisfied with them for the money I paid.

I have wanted the Naot Matai shoes for awhile so finally ordered a pair. After so many great reviews, I was expecting them to be wonderful, but what a disappointment! The shoes are huge--at least a full size larger than expected with the left shoe longer than the right; the left shoe gaped in several areas in the front near the strap and very badly on the sides. The Velcro strap is ridiculously long and stuck out way too far on the side of each shoe. They looked like freaky clown shoes on, not at all like the cute picture. I am giving good stars for comfort because the foot pad looks like it would be comfortable otherwise. Thanks to Zappos and quick shipping, I received my order today, but unfortunately these shoes are going right back.

Ive been wearing Naot for 20 years - this year I buy and return, try another style buy amd return - even styles Ive purchased previously. Sizing is off along with quality - so sad , I graded Style as 1 star because of the quality (this is a style Ive purchased previously, so I do have expectations that were not met)

These have been around a long time. They’re comfortable and attractive. However, the entire sole decomposed on a pair that I’d had for a few years. I was walking as chunks of the sole fell away. This is entirely unacceptable, and NAOT needs to fix this!

One shoe was too large and kept sliding with and without socks. Got horrible blisters on both feet. I bought these to replace an exact same pair that were like 10’years old. That pair fit right out of the box and I wore them to a nub. I’m afraid to try another pair of their shoes now because these were so disappointing

A friend highly recommended Naot shoes, saying they were extremely comfortable. I did not find this to be true for me. The size 9, which I almost always wear, was unbelievably tight and uncomfortable. I don’t think this particular style is true to size at all.

I am writing to warn anyone considering this Naot: do not purchase this in a combo that involves suede. This is the worst shoe buy I ever made. I was sorry to give it even 1 star, but I could not submit the review otherwise. I paid full price about a year ago. They came with typically lightning speed. They fit fine. They looked great. I just loved them, as I have loved 2 pairs of previous Naots. But I wore them only a couple of dozen times, never in wet weather or any harsh conditions. I went on a short trip taking only this pair of shoes and a pair of tennis shoes. On the second day of the trip, the suede on the left toe completely disintegrated, leaving my toe totally exposed. There was no previous indication that it was weak. I had ordered slightly large so my toe was not hitting the inside of the shoe. It just dissolved. Very shoddy. Very disappointing. I will never buy Naots again and, although I have recommended in the past, I will tell everyone I know about this. (I should note that I have this same shoe in black/black leather and have no complaint. But for the price I really should get more than a few wearings and I am not a happy camper.)

I’ve eyed these shoes for years and finally had a need to buy them (I’m on my feet all day on a concrete floor but needed a shoe that didn’t look like a sneaker.) While they felt great, the strap was far too long for my non-fleshy-size 43-foot. The Naot Agathis fit much better, but I wish this one had worked!

Cute shoe, but sadly the hardware and strap hit on the part of my foot with a bone spur.

Not being sure of the size, I ordered two pair. A 7 1|2 and an 8. The 8 was too large and the 7 1|2 fit perfectly. Very comfortable shoe with a lot of support. I have plantar fasciitis and a heel spur and Naot is one of a few shoes I can wear.

I have these shoes in Black and just ordered them in Radiant Copper Leather/Coffee Bean Nubuck which is beautiful color! I often wear a 9.5 and sometimes need a wide width - the 40 in a medium width fits well and the removable foot bed allows me to swap in my orthotics. These may not work for a narrow foot but are great for me. It is a challenge to find shoes that fit, are comfortable and look nice - these definitely check all the boxes!

My left foot is a 7.5 and right foot half a size smaller at a 7, but the soft leather in this shoe adapts to make these a prefect fit. The Naot Koru foot bed has long been the best for my low volume feet. Another great feature is the strap that is set on the diagonal, which avoids my high instep.

Matai is one of Naot's best shoes. The styling with the swirl is lovely. The black can be worn from casual to dressy. Unfortunately since ankle surgery, this shoe no longer fits me. Too small. Also now need higher toe box. Helpful that the strap is angled and not straight across the ankle. So sorry I have to return.

Finally I find a shoe that fits my horrible feet. Length, perfect. Arch support, good. Design, nice. Very comfortable with firm support. But, they go back. Why? Because this pair of shoes has been worn...a lot. The right foot is so stretched out of shape that the strap barely holds in on. Worn places on the heels. These shoes are perfect for me and I will order another pair. Over 200 dollars is a lot to spend and get used shoes. Thank you Zappos for your quick service and sending all the shoes for me to try. Much appreciated. The left shoe was perfect in every way, but the right shoe really has some major issues.
