Super comfy but I returned them because they were too big.

These shoes are very attractive and I get a lot of compliments on them. More importantly to me, they are extremely comfortable. I bought them and without any breaking-in time, wore them all over northern France for a week without any adversity.

Previously I had ordered size the 8 in the Matai which was too wide & long for my narrow foot... so I exchanged it for the size 7 which unfortunately was too short. Also there was a bit too much slippage in the heel. I wish Matai came in 1/2 sizes.... I'm sure a 7.5 would have worked! Am disappointed to have to return them. This shoe had features such as the angled cross strap which would have helped make it work by snugging it up for my narrow foot.

Very wonderful shoes , comfortable and perfect for traveling or even a special occasion.I am taking them to London and it is the only pair I am taking .

Naot is incorrect about this shoe running large. I sized down to a 7M, but had to return them for my usual size 8M. Great walking shoe!

The size and fit are fine. The material is good. They squeak a little when walking in them though but otherwise I am pleased.

These shoes are huge. I already sized down. I guess they just don't work for my particular feet. Too bad, because they are adorable and very well constructed

These are awesome shoes, my second color- so far. Since I have recently been diagnosed with arthritis in the talon navicular joint of my right foot, having the good supportive, yet flexible shoe was doctor's orders. Naot's well constructed insole and outsole provide the perfect firm, yet padded support under my foot, without aggravation by being too high or low of an arch. The strap seems very refined, but it does the job holding the shoe in place, and is easy to adjust as needed, with strong velcro. While the Matei is a bit pricey, it's well worth it, with the really high quality leather and stitching. I only hope they will offer it in more colors. The green goes well with a lot of everyday clothing, but a traditional brown would be a nice addition.

I love these shoes. I previously had a pair just like them that I wore for about 10 years until 3-4 years ago the soles crumbled. Because I had these before I knew the American sizing was off. I normally wear a 5 1/2 or a 35 or 36 in European sizing. This particular style Naot I need a 35. The wide toe box and narrow heel are perfect for me. The diagonal strap doesn’t cut off your circulation. I was so excited to see that this style was available again. The only difference I’ve noticed is that the old ones had a softer leather, the fit is identical. The removable orthotic is good enough that I usually don’t insert my custom orthotics. There are very few shoes that I can say that about. Thanks for bringing these timeless shoes back.

I love Naot shoes. These are comfortable and I like the look that is more interesting than typical comfort shoes. I want to be able to wear these with socks in the winter and without them in warmer weather. I ordered a size smaller based on the site's recommendation. However, they were too small, and I'm going to return them for my normal size. I'm hoping those will work.

A little wider at the top but very comfortable!

I like these shoes. The copper is different but I like that. They have good support for a bunion big toe and don’t hurt at all.

These are awesome yet I may need to add a gel sole fore travel walking. Beautifully made. Kudos to Dansko for moving into the comfort shoe market.

Naot Matai has been my shoe "staple" for years! Have had plantar fasciitis (both feet), bunions, and other foot problems. With their different foot beds, Naot probably has one that will help most people. I had the Matai in every color they made, and wore out a few. Sadly, I can no longer seem to get some of the colors (Peacock and light Pink were 2 favorites!) even going directly to the Naot site. Even the new green I just bought is a muddier color (and the leather seems a bit stiffer) than the last time I bought it. As to fit, I went up a size this time (no half sizes) as I age my feet are growing, and Naot still fits perfect.

They were very comfortable out of the box. I have a C width foot and the fit was good. They are nice looking and will be my7 travel shoe along with a pair of sneakers.

These are my favorite shoes and second pair. I wear a US size 7.5 and the 38 is a perfect fit. They are extremely comfortable and very versatile, from pants to shorts to skirts and dresses these are my go to shoes. I bought the metallic bronze and the black suede swirl on the toe box shows up really well and the color creates interest. They are very expensive and over several years the Velcro can be unpredictable but overall, considering how finicky my feet are, they are worth the investment.
