This is a great and very cute shoe. I have had this shoe for 5 years, but as I get older my feet are spreading larger so just recently I ordered the next size up. The leather is so soft and it feels like butter on your feet with nice interior support for your arch and metatarsal areas. The velcro strap holds the shoe on securely so there is no flopping around. There is no "break in" time needed and I could wear these shoes all day with no socks right from the box. Even with the color combination they seem to look fine with most everything I own.

I have foot issues - nerve pain, arthritis, etc., which makes it very hard to find shoes I can walk in. These came about as close to wearable as anything I've bought. The arch support is good and there's support under the ball of the foot too, which is rare (aside from Naot). I've given away a lot of shoes in the last couple of years and these are keepers.

Amazingly comfortable! I have relatively flat feet and tend to supinate, and as a result wear my shoes out in odd ways and get blisters really easily. Right out of the box these felt great. My toes have plenty of space (something most modern shoes fail at), and no weird rubbing discomfort. The true test will be wearing them all day, but based on the reviews, and my initial test run, I have high hopes. I'm definitely going to order some more Naots! I am usually an 8.5-9, and the 39's were great.

Zappos really did it! They assured me my favorite walking shoes would be delivered in time for my European trip. I packed coordinated- outfits and held my breath. Even though the shoes were being shipped cross country through many stormy areas, I got my favorites in time!! Thanks so much.

These shoes are very cute, but unfortunately my size 12 feet are a little too big for the European size 43. My toes press up against the front of the shoe, so I am sadly forced to send these shoes back.

Funky, cool shoe that will be perfect for touring Europe. The bronze color takes some getting used to but overall the shoe is comfortable and fits perfectly. I love that the shoe is shaped like a normal foot!My size 11 was exactly right and not too snug for my almost-wide foot.

I have always been a Mary Jane fan, but this shoe takes it to the height of Mary-Janedom! The design is very artistic and has a funky overall look which I just crave in my clothing, so now I have it in my footwear. The shoes fit like a glove. I feel as though they were made just for me and my sore little feet. Bravo Naot!

Over 73 years, I have walked my way into an assortment of bunions, hammer toes, bone spurs, and high arches that would make a shoemaker weep. I have worked hard all my life, and now I want my feet to be comfortable. I was hesitant to spend this much on a shoe, but have been unable to find I shoe that my feet would both feel good in walking and looked good, but I figured, I have earned some comfort! When the shoes were delivered, (almost immediately), I tried them on & they looked really good on my feet. They were ever so slightly snug all around, but not tight. I wore them around the house with thick socks for a couple of hours each day to relax the fit. Then----the trial by concrete! I wore these shoes with thin hose and spent the whole day on a shopping gallivant. Much to my surprise, when I came home I was not frantic to rip the shoes off my feet----my legs were not tired-----I continued to wear them until bedtime! Now that is a sign! There was a slight bit of soreness on a bone spur, which I can assure you is not the shoe's fault. After adjusting the cushion around the bone spur, I really look forward to wearing these shoes when I have errands out & about. I have been wearing them for occasions for a couple of weeks now & they are nicely adjusting to my feet & the fit is easing. The leather is soft & supple, and the styling is subdued & flattering. Got to say, I am pleased with the way they wear. There is something special about the molded sole that leaves your legs & feet eased even after all day on your feet---even more so than a pair of so called athletic shoes! I gambled on spending good money on these shoes and I won! They do feel good!

So comfortable, true to size, and casually attractive. My husband doesn't care for the "swirl" on the front, but I like it!

I love this shoe. Did I say I love this shoe? I just keep buying it over and over and over. The comfort is unreal. Plenty of space for my toes and arch support. I always get compliments on the way they look as well.

I originally bought a 37 (supposedly size 6 US) and they were too big. I usually wear a US 6.5. Sent them back for a 36 (supposedly US size 5) and they fit perfectly. These shoes fit well, are well made, and although they have the hallmark of "clunky" shoes, they have that cute swirl that makes them unique and interesting. So even though they are cut very high on the foot for a flat, they are also cut on an angle, the same angle as from the big toe to the little toe, same angle as the strap, etc. I think it's a sweet and quirky design. I love these shoes.

Very comfortable shoes and though I usually wear a size 10 1/2 I ordered a size 10. They fit very well. I am hoping that the velcro on the strap lasts, especially since I paid so much for them.

The Naot Matai is a great shoe. I wear an almost size 9 and the 40 was perfect for me. I do have problem feet. Bunions on both feet and I find that most Naot shoes work well for me. I do wear these with lightweight socks. With no socks I may have been able to wear a 39.

I love these shoes. I wear orthotics, and can comfortably fit them inside. The shoes can be worn with jeans or a skirt: a cute flat. I have two colors.

I love these shoes. They are so comfortable. This is my 4th pair of this style because they are so comfortable, fit well and are good to the feet.

Wonderful comfort shoe. Well made and stylish. Have received many compliments. Would recommend to all friends regardless of age. Just a fun shoe.

Love these shoes! I have had all kinds of foot, ankle and leg injuries. I can walk any airport, stand to train and present all day and never have any pain. Have not found another shoe, even being fitted at a running store, that keeps all my pains away. Going on my 3rd pair. Hope they never stop making them.

Terrific shoes and so comfortable. You may need to order one size down. This style was bigger than the Kirei, so I'm trying a smaller size. Some other reviews said the same...I thought that the same sole would make them the same size, not so for me.

My second pair of these. I now have them in black and pewter. Great for walking and can be worn with pants or leggings and skirt.

I have Morton's Neuroma and have not been able to find a shoe that was so comfortable as Naot Matais. Alternated between 2 pairs of Naot Matai shoes in Europe 2 years ago for 2 weeks and my feet never hurt. Just came back from a 3 week tour of Europe and wore the same 2 pairs of shoes and they were still comfortable on uneven streets and cobblestones. If it weren't for Zappos return policy, I never would have tried them. Thanks, Zappos and Naot!

Bunion - check. Reconstructed ankle - check. Custom orthotics - check. Who knew these could be cute and so uber comfortable that I just bought my fourth pair? I have bought and cast off so many 'comfort' shoes but these are absolutely perfect. The toe box is roomy without being squared off and clunky. The leather is soft and the style is feminine. My regular size 38 (7.5) is perfect. Love these shoes and Zappos!

I normally wear a size 9 but ordered a size 41 which I normally wear in Naots. I wore them right out of the box tonight. They are so comfortable, the leather feels plush, the toe box is plentiful and the Volcanic Red color is very rich looking. These shoes are well worth the price. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and have leg and knee issues, and these shoes offer excellent support.

I love this shoe and I always get compliments when I wear them. They are good with or without socks since the leather is supple and doesn't chafe. I got the metallic color, which from the picture online looks like pewter but is actually a cross between gold and silver. Would have liked silver better, but this color is fairly neutral and goes with practically everything!

These shoes sat in my closet collecting dust for over a year before I wore them. Shame on me. Having never worn them before I took them with me recently to Istanbul for 9 days, what a great decision that was! I alternated between these and a pair of Clarks Wave. This shoe is so comfortable, even when it was hot outside, I never had issues with shoe rub. Just comfort through and through and they were great for navigating uneven, cobble stone streets. I received a lot of compliments on them which was a nice bonus. Sorry I didn't wear them sooner but better late than never. One of THE most comfortable walking shoes I've ever had the pleasure of wearing and by the looks of things, after walking miles and miles, they should last a good long time.

These shoes are hands down best shoes I have EVERY owned! I bought my first pair about 7 years ago and am now about to order my third pair. I just pass the old ones down for different usage. My oldest pair are now my biking shoes and work great. This shoe is every bit as comfy as a walking shoe without looing big and clumsy. Whenever we are touring where there is lots of walking involved I plan around these shoes. I know they are expensive but worth every penny!
