I need comfortable shoes to use for lots of walking and standing. I have nerve damage in my feet. These are great for both. I have walked and stood for long periods without feeling my problem.

Love these shoes--expensive, but worth it--they are my second pair (the first ones lasted 5 years--so glad they are still in existence)! I usually wear a "W" and use my own insert orthotic. Very comfortable. Also Zappos is super easy to deal with. I ordered 3 pairs of shoes, kept the Naots, and returned the others. No problem with prompt refund credit.

Very comfortable for someone who has had 3 foot surgeries! Actually received several complements on the style - a rare thing with comfort shoes! Very pleased with purchase.

The shoe is too small. It feels about 1/2 size smaller than expected. I was impressed with the overall quality and feel of the shoe, so I am disappointed that the shoe ran too small for me.

Equating a Euro size 39 with an 8, a 40 with a 9 and a 41 with a 10 is inaccurate, because the size difference is smaller than the difference between US sizes. I have always worn a 39½ or 40, but I needed a 41 in the Naots that I tried. I found a different pair that fit me well.

These were beautiful shoes and they would be amazingly comfortable if they were a smidge smaller. I have bunions and they were comfortable in spite of the bunions.

This is my third pair of Naot Matais, and fifth pair of Naots. These are the best shoes ever. They are durable, comfortable and appropriate business wear for someone who cannot wear heels. I love them!

Most comfortable shoe ever with great support! They used to come in great colors too I really miss not being able to get the olive green ones!

This is my fourth pair and I have never owned any shoes that were as comfortable and long-lasting. They feel absolutely wonderful from the first time I slip them on and I spend all day working a retail job in them. So glad this particular style is still available since it's perfect for my bunions and they haven't been "cheapened" to cut costs. Worth every penny! Thanks, Naot!

This is one of the most comfortable shoes I own. The strap is adjustable and the leather on this one is quite soft - they come in many colors and other types of leather so I don't know if they are all equally soft. The one I bought says "shiny black leather" for the color. It isn't shiny but does have a tiny band of silvery stuff that barely shows. The insole has a cork bottom which absorbs the pressure on your back when you walk. I love it!

I purchased the first pair of Matai four years ago for my mother who has problem feet and balance issues. She loves the stability, comfort and style that comes with this shoe. So much so, that she asked me to find another pair in a different color - she has finally worn out the first pair, and particularly loves wearing these shoes when, she and her 80 year old husband, frequently attend country western dances in their community. How's that for awesome!

I bought this style at the beginning of a pregnancy, and basically wore them the entire time I was pregnant. Because I put on 65+ pounds, I had totally blown the shoe out, but given the edema, and the swelling and inconsistent fluctuation of my foot size, these never failed to be comfortable and a great shoe. I might buy the same style again here even though I'm not pregnant. I require moderate arch support and pronate when I run.

This is my 2nd pair of Naots. They are the best quality shoes I have ever had. Right out of the box they are a dream walk. They may be a little larger than marked, but I live in Alaska and wear a heavier sock. Just love them!

I love this shoe. I originally bought it when I needed shoes that would accommodate my orthotics, and this shoe does that stylishly. I often get compliments on my shoes. Since I wear these almost constantly, year round, they wear out fairly quickly. Especially given how expensive these shoes are. I am now ordering my 3rd pair in 3 years. The price has gone up since that first pair in 2012. I had never spent that much on a pair of shoes in all my life. But orthotics changed all that, and I figure I will have to spend more money on shoes in the future in order to walk comfortably (and I often walk over 4 miles a day). Anyway, I love these shoes so much that I'm ordering my 3rd pair, in the exact same color (Metal leather / black).

These shoes allow me to walk. I'm serious. In bare feet or any other footwear, I usually hobble, due to knee problems. As soon as I put these on -- in a 37, instead of my usual 38, as reviewers advised, I was able to walk without a limp! Aside from this huge benefit, the black pearl leather with "hash" suede, lined with a bit of gold, is genuinely attractive and comfortable. I have the Naot Matai in a larger size (my usual size), and they stretched out so much that they need thick socks...which makes them fine for the winter, thinking optimistically. My messed-up toes and arches adore these, and if you have wide toes, or like to give them room, you'll adore them, too. Expensive, yes. But great. On the plus side, they're so weird (in a good way, I think) that they'll never go out of style!

Love this shoe! Great support...a tiny bit wide in the heel, but with the strap style, it's okay. So comfortable and pretty!

I have been on the hunt for shoes I can wear to work with my new custom orthotic insoles. I love this brand and particularly this shoe. It works in every way: my insoles work in them (although theirs is very nice and almost as good as the expensive ones I just bought from the doctor -- at least just trying them on). It is a little clunky looking but in a stylish funky way. They are comfortable and they are cut high enough to comfortably hide the Smartwool Secret Sleuth socks I bought to wear with my expensive insoles. I would love more colors and perhaps an alternative design with the same cut as this shoe!

I love this shoe! The first time I bought a pair of this brand was 6 years ago. I still wear them but wanted a different color. Yes, they are expensive but they are well made and last. Plus I can walk for hours when touring on vacation. This is a well made shoe.

This is my second pair of Naot shoes. I love them. It is like wearing pillows on my feet. The shoes are durable, fashionable and so comfortable. I get compliments on them all the time. I will purchase this style of shoe again in the future! I typically wear a 6 1/2 ladies' shoe but I found that a size 7 (USA size) and 37 (European sizing) in this shoe style fits my foot best.

I wish they came in half sizes, but otherwise the best footwear purchase I've made -- worth the steep price. I have severely flat feet, and these are the only non-athletic shoes I've ever been able to walk for long distances in without blisters, discomfort, pain, etc. After a year they're showing some mild signs of wear, but mostly because I wear them so constantly. They do, as warned, run a bit large, but the adjustable strap helps with fit issues. I'm not crazy about the colors other than the black one that are being offered, or else I would definitely invest in a second pair.

This is my second pair - first pair lasted many years - leather strap, sewing start to loosen slightly after year 2 but never caused issues to wear and now after 4-5 years the bottom rubber sole finally cracked. I live in Florida and use these for European travels with lots of walking. They have held up awesome for what I have put them through! I have a very wide foot and take size 7.5- 8,5 depending - I tried on 39 - too big and 38 was snug, but I was told that's better as they mold to feet and will stretch out over time - they did! Very comfortable and have very wide toe area - originally tried them after ankle surgery for a cute orthotic shoe - and just ordered my second pair because they are that awesome and cute!

These shoes fit my feet perfectly and are supremely comfortable. I have relatively narrow feet, so a lot of shoes just don't fit right. The leather is soft and the footbed offers great arch support. It's my second pair. Tip: after a few months the removable cork insoles start to squeak at the heel - just put a little oil or grease on it to silence it. Well worth the trouble for such comfortable shoes!

I found this to run large after ordering what should be my size (size 6 - 37 ) and returned it for a 36. Length-wise it was then fine but found that this has very prominent arch support which is great unless it does not fall in the right place, then it is not good at all. Unfortunately for my feet, the arch fell too far forward. I think these would work for someone very well if they are right for their feet. The buckle also dug into the top of my foot, likely just hitting it in the wrong spot. Had a lot of toe box room (I have bunions) and that aspect was great. So bottom line, could be a great shoe, try it if you have problem feet like me (hence the rating on comfort), they just did not work for my shape (and order a size down).
