I bought 2 pairs of Naot Matai to replace the ones I bought a long time ago. I'd worn out the soles after much wearing for years. The orignial ones I bought were the best fit of all. Other ones I bought in the last 2 years were too big and I could only wear them with socks. These new ones are smaller and fit more like the original ones and might even be a little smaller. Almost too small but they fit and will stretch. I have these in numerous colors. My orginal metal colored ones were too yellowish gold. These new metal ones are more of a darker bronze color or general metal that's not too gold or silver. I much prefer this color. It's more neutral.

I love the Matai style because it is cute and versatile, and is a solution for problem feet. I own the black and love it. Do not size up because they stretch out some. It's not made for a narrow foot, however. Recently I ordered the gorgeous blue....LOVE it. I accidentally double ordered on 2 sizes so had returns to make. sorry, Zappos. I hope this style is never discontinued. I have relied on it for 15? years?? The variety of colors is great and I like them without sox as well. It's great the footbed can be replaced. It's expensive--- but they last a long time.

Pretty shoes and comfortable. Style doesn’t look good on my foot size 11 foot.

This shoe dresses up or down easily - not ideal for very formal wear, but great with business looks or jeans. The detail, stitching, and trim are timeless and I really like the more recent color combinations they're available in. This is my second pair of Naot Matai - they were very durable for me, but finally looked a bit natty after about 3 years of frequent wear. (This was my gateway shoe into high end comfort brands.) As Naot indicates, this shoe runs a bit large. Something they don't mention is that the shoe also expands because of the materials used to manufacture it. The leather is quite flexible. I wear either an 8.5 or 9 in most US sized shoes, tending more toward a 9, but I wear a 39 in this shoe. The first couple of days with them, I wear them as much as possible without doing a ton of walking in them to let them leather stretch out. After that, they're all-day troopers. If you receive them and think they're a bit too tight, give them a couple of days wearing them around in the house.

I have this style in almost all the present and past (please bring back the pink/nude finally broke strap after 5 years) colors. I have hard to fit feet, wide toes, narrow heel and high arches. I was having a lot of foot pain and these solved the problem. With the ability to buy replacement insole these shoos last me a long time. When the tops finally get a bit "used" looking, I replace them and use the old ones for gardening, hiking (Yes hiking! Hike all over, we camp, even hiked the Indian ruins in AZ, and the Carlsbad caverns.) They look "cute" but are surprisingly supportive.

this is the fourth or fifth pair of this shoe that I've ordered, some different colors and this last one to replace a very old pair. This is the most comfortable shoe I've been able to find for everyday wear. Not inexpensive but for me, it's worth it.

Comfortable shoe - this is my 4th pair in the last 7 years. The toe box is roomy but not loose and the adjustable strap make the shoe fit snugly. AAn unusual look but I alwyas get compliments.

This is my 3rd pair of these shoes and I love them.

Very pretty...a nice color variant from the black ones in this style I already have. I am hopeful these will NOT deteriorate as a previous pair in this style did, and I was careful NOT to choose the ones with suede panels for that reason. I ordered my regular size and they were too large in the heel. I returned them and ordered a size down as some reviewers had recommended and these are fine. Looking forward to wearing them for a long time.

Cute shoes, comfortable right out of the box. I have a high arch and narrow heel, and these shoes are fine for both. I have enjoyed NAOT sandals for years, and they wear extremely well even after getting rain-soaked. This is my first pair of NAOT close-toed shoes, and the same size as I wear in sandals fits perfectly. Highly recommend the shoe and the brand.

These are gorgeous shoes. High quality through and through. However, my orthotics are so thick that there wasn't enough room in the toe box. Very disappointed that I had to return them.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I got the Naot and I am VERY Delighted with the purchase. I've been eyeing Naot's for years and had to muster up enough courage to spend the money. I generally buy $90 to $110 clogs from very reputable companies. With Naot, I feel that it is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT shoe experience. It's almost like a doctor said, "You are doing it all wrong." My back feels better, I walk better, my feet feel better, even my neck feels better. They completely fit my foot and I generally have a narrower width. **The biggest comment I have-- if you have scoliosis, definitely try this shoe. I've had 3 surgeries as a kid (age 16-21). While they worked, I am experiencing some pain in my back at age 40. The Naot has definitely helped. Probably will keep me from back massages. Try them.

Okay . . . let's face it, they're not the sexiest shoes on the market, but they are the most comfortable. Put them on, right out of the box, and wore them for NINE HOURS STRAIGHT. Oh, did I mention that I have "Morton's Nueroma?" No familiar? Let me tell you, if you have it, YOU KNOW THE PAIN IT CAUSES, and if you don't know what it is, according to WebMD: "Morton's neuroma involves a thickening of the tissue around one of the nerves leading to your toes. This can cause a sharp, burning pain in the ball of your foot. Your toes also may sting, burn or feel numb." They didn't mention it can feel like you have a hard pea or pebble underneath your third and forth toes that shoots pain and FIRE to the end of your toes. Now. . .you see the importance of finding a shoe that you can wear that doesn't cause you to be in constant agony. THESE ARE THE SHOES. They aren't sexy - - but they are cute, comfortable, well made and frankly, look good with slacks, jeans and leggings. Dresses/skirts? Not so much. So if you're looking for or need a pair of shoes you can actually wear WITHOUT PAIN, these Naot Matai's are for you.

I have worn Naot shoes exclusively for many years, have always purchased them through the internet due to shortage of choice in my area and they have always been true to size and fit beautifully. I love this pair in every way, colour, style and complete comfort. Thank you dolores morford

I love these shoes! They are totally comfortable and feel molded to my feet. I ordered my usual 40 and they were too big, so exchanged for 39 which are perfect. I tend to have hip pain if I wear less supportive shoes, but I wear these all day and feel great.

These were too tight fitting. However, the metallic Naot Matai and patent leather Naot Matai are fantastic. I have diabetes and they are pretty, offer excellent support and comfort. I think they are my most favorite shoes, ever. The black patent leather was kind of a bucket list for me, since I am 74 and when I was a kid I asked every birthday for black patent leather Mary Janes. So I am very happy and will NOT wear short white birthday socks w. my black patent leather shoes, promise.

Ordered one size smaller, as recommended, but the shoe was too small. Re-ordered my normal size and expect it will be fine. Have another style of Naot and they are true to size. The shoe itself is really cool.

With a narrowish foot that's between an 8 and an 8-1/2, I have an awful time getting a good fit - especially because I need excellent arch support. This style fit me very well. The leather is soft and seamless with a roomy toe box that doesn't rub me anywhere. This style looks a lot sleeker than the other "comfort" styles I tried. I ordered the shoe in 3 different colors, needing something black. I returned the all-black and the black-and-silver, and I kept the Black Pear with its teeny little band of sparkly gold trim. These are my new winter shoes.

The fit and size of this shoe were great. However, the style just didn't work for my needs. Back they go!

These are the best, best shoes I have ever worn. I have been a high school teacher for 20 years and I can wear these shoes all day and my feet and legs don't hurt! I buy the same pair every year and they last forever. I have them in almost every color and other teachers rave about how they look. Keep makin 'em!!

I love this style. I have a pair that is over 5 years old and is still wearable, just looking a little worn for some functions. I walked in these shoes extensively while traveling and have used them for both dressy and casual functions. I do think they run large. It was suggested that I buy a size 39 because of my past purchases, however, my previous pair was a 38. I purchased a size 38 again and it was perfect.

Always love the Matai as my favorite comfort shoe ! Seeing it in patent on Zappos was a great surprise and a must have for me!

I have the Matai in both the Black Pearl - which pretty much goes with everything, and also in my newest purchase, the Oak leather (saddle brown?) with Olive green suede, since that color combo is great for fall. I bought the Black Pearl (again) several years ago and it fit as I'd expected based on my first pair. However, the oak/green seem to be cut skimpier, barely allowing enough room for my feet, which I'd never experienced with this style before. In my opinion, they do not run large, especially because they're supposed to fit 9 to 9.5 and I wear a 9. I did buy them from a brick and mortar store because there they were - however, I often buy from Zappos and think the service is great! It's just getting harder, with Naot, to count on the usual size 40 fitting - and the next size up 41 would definitely be too big!

Trying out my first Naots and I am hooked! These are super comfortable but still cute and stylish. I'll be doing alot of walking overseas so need to invest in quality shoes that last and won't kill my feet. Suffer from bunions and flat feet so they're always in pain after walking around all day in cute sandals and shoes that are obnly meant for looks and have no support.
