Are you kidding? Amazing shorts! Great fit, true to size. Light weight, perfect length AND very flattering! I went back for more colors yet they are out of stock. Love these shorts!!!

I love that these shorts have been made for years and they never change. I love them for hiking and backpacking because there’s little to no stretch so the waist stays in place once they’re buttoned and zipped. There are ample pockets without looking like cargo pants. I don’t love the Velcro closure on some of the pockets and would like more zippered ones, but they fit so well and don’t ride up or down so I’m happy. I think they run a little bit small but maybe that’s just my big thighs/quads. I was hoping to get another color but Zappos sent me the wrong size. Too bad, but my five-year-old ones are still going strong!

I really liked these shorts, they are very very cute. The pockets are GREAT! Deep numerous and functional. But for me, the inseam was too short. If RR made this same style shorts with a longer inseam, I'd order them in a second.

These shorts feel great and look great, not dumpy. I need shorts with pockets that don't need to be ironed for hiking and traveling. These will even pair with one of my nicer blouses. My daughter wants a pair after seeing mine.

These have become my go-to shorts when I'm bumming around town. I have them in blue and black and they go with many of my different style casual tops. I am 5'8" and 124 lbs, and the size 5 fits me perfectly. The velcro in the pockets seems bulky at times but I am usually glad it's there to restrain items. The deep back pocket is good for taller things like iPhones but watch out when you sit down because the items are so low you'll be sitting on them. The shorts are made of a material that dries quickly, and since I have a 4 year old boy I appreciate that because I'm never sure when I'm going to get wet. :) . Overall I'm very pleased and would certainly order them again.

These are great shorts that are quick dry and very comfortable. True to size too. I like that they are not skin tight, but still stylish.

Great fit and traditional style. Royall Robbins has made this style short for years and if they last like my older pairs I will be delighted. I do suggest to check the size as I find most outdoor pants need a size up as they all run tighter in the hips/backside. although I think Royal Robbins has the most generous fit and moderate rise.

Thin, comfy, dry quickly. You will Want these in every color. They are not too short. They cover you. The sit below the belly button and stay out. They wash well and dry quickly. Have great pockets. Fit is true to size. Not tight. Flowing and flattering.

Very nice, comfortable shorts. Multi-pockets are deep and super convenient. My iPhone 6S fits easily. They are generously cut, so do not order a larger size than usual. Easy care, light fabric. I got two pairs and am not sorry!

I got a size 26 and it was fairly loose on my waist and fell to my hips. While not a bad thing since once I buttoned it was much more fitting. I wore this to an amusement park with a phone two external batteries, a card holder, a pair of fold-able sunglasses. I had lots of room for half folded map and other items if I wanted to bring them. The fabric is very light and great for wearing on a hot day. The color was a little more muted than I thought it was going to be. My biggest complaint with the shorts is that the closures for the pockets are Velcro. Where they buttons or a few more zippers it would have been soooo much better.

This was the first Royal Robbins purchase I have made. I purchased the Backcountry short in red and they did not disappoint. I wore these all day in Disney World and they were so comfortable. The length is great, a little shorter than mid thigh. I also like the material, it is breathable and when I would ride a water ride, the shorts dried in no time! I have a large rear and legs and shorts are a hard purchase for me and I feel like these are the shorts for me.

Great shorts! I ordered the pimento and they are a wonderful shade of red! They hit half way up the thigh which is the perfect length, in my opinion. The material is very lightweight. I ordered these for a Disney trip. The day I wore these, we logged 17 miles of walking and they were oh so comfortable! They run true to size. I think I will order some other colors!

Purchased in both a size 6 and size 8 and the 6 fit perfectly. I am 5'4" and 128lbs with an hour glass type figure. I like the color and cut of the shorts.

I am going to Florida at the end of the month and needed something that would keep me cool. Zappos has great service got them quickly. I ordered a size 8 because I usually wear a 6-8 and have to send them back they run small, I had to order a 10. Other then that they felt great. I am 5'5" and 155 pounds.

This is the second pair of these shorts I've purchased. They're versatile and comfortable. Plenty of pockets for all your stuff - I've even put a water bottle in one of the pockets. Great all-weather shorts. They run a bit small so you may need to order up.

I've always loved Royal Robbins hiking shorts and these are no exception. They are a bit shorter than I'd prefer, but I'm still keeping them. Style, practicality, easy drying fabric. They are going with me on a rafting/hiking trip in the Grand Canyon. I think they'll be perfect.

Awesome shorts. Perfect fit. I am a true size 8. Will be ordering the black as well now that I have tried this. Fits my outdoor lifestyle.

Thank you Zappos. Ordered yesterday, received today!!! How good is that. These shorts are very comfortable, fit well. Love the buttons at the waist for added fit and comfort. I would certainly order more as they will probably not be available next year, although RR should keep them in stock. Fit true to size.

These are fantastic shorts. The fit is great and not too short. Cool fabric that looks like it will pack well and dry quickly. Great for traveling or everyday wear. Doesn't have that "travel clothes" appearance.

Very nice shorts but run a little small. I'm normally a size 8 and the 10 fits nice. Not too short, just the right length for me.

Incredibly comfortable, easy to throw on, modest but not stodgy, and hold up in tough conditions. I live in Costa Rica and would buy these in 5 colors, if they were available. As it is, I'm adding black.
