A substantial sandal - I had my last pair of Clarks sandals for so many years I can't remember. I have a narrow foot and narrow heel, and it's been impossible for me to find shoes anywhere but on-line. Therefore I was willing to pay the price as my previous Clarks literally fell apart. This sandal allows a lot of adjustments - it has velcro at the heel and across the top and bottom part of the foot. I started wearing it right away. After a couple of days in which I did some real walking, I started getting some sore rubbing above the big toe joints (this may be just my particular foot). Band aids fixed this. I'll work my way through till the leather softens. It has good arch support and the stitching is attractive.

Clarks Sarasota Sandal - I think the Clarks Sarasota is a really attractive shoe and the footbed of the shoe is very comfortable to wear. However, I find that the strap that is at the toe area is extremely uncomfortable and did rub large blisters the first time that I wore the shoes. It has been one week since then and the blisters still have not healed. If I wear the shoes again, then it will be necessary to put some protection on the top of my feet. I think this is something that is peculiar in the Clarks sandal line. I had another pair of Clarks shoes and the same problem; and I don't think I will ever buy Clarks again.

Great comfort, not too old-lady looking - These are wonderful sandals--I bought them in two colors. Initially the over-the-toe strap was too tight and I had blisters--I stretched the elastic a bit and they are fine.

I have short wide feet with high strong arches. I am rarely bothered by a lack of arch support and I think this shoe would have fine arch support if it were flat, but the heel height makes my foot curve and then my arch doesn't touch the shoe at all. This is the 2nd shoe (and brand) with which I have experienced this. I so appreciate Zappos's return policy!

These shoes were about a half size to long and too wide. I thought of getting a 9 1/2 2N but decided that I didn't care for the shoe that much. It felt like it had good arch support and would have been comfortable but just a tad too big for me.

I love Clark's and usually they fit me perfectly. The straps are completely adjustable in three places. Even so, I cannot quite get a perfect fit. I bought the wide width, which is normally perfect. This one is very wide, so good for those with very wide feet. I probably should have swapped for a medium. So if your foot is only slightly wide, try the medium. Also, they are not quite as cushy as I would like. I am using a little stick-on arch support.

I was looking to replace a Clark sandal bought some years ago, and this was the closest one to it. I was disappointed that it does not have as good arch support as the earlier one, nor is the fit as comfortable. This was not clear until I had worn it, so it could not be returned.

Not nearly as comfortable as the other Clarks shoes I have worn. The sole is very hard and there is not much cushioning between it and the inside of the shoe. There are raised swirl shapes on the sole, which I could feel when walking on a hard surface. There also is no arch support. I don't think they would be comfortable enough for much walking, which is what I needed them for. Also, the upper straps over the ankle do not seem to line up with each other very well when closing them together. They are nice looking, but not engineered for comfort.

I liked the idea of this shoe better than the actual product. The brown, patent look is fine and the "dressiness" I needed. The adjustment of the two top straps is great for my wide feet. I like that the sole isn't a light color so it keeps clean. The shoe looks better with a bare foot than with a stocking. That said, the shoe felt "horsey" to me, i.e., too big, I couldn't adjust the back strap at all to tighten the shoe, and it felt more clumsy than most. My foot and the shoe just didn't seem to be headed in the same direction. Despite the mixed feelings, I did keep the shoe and have worn it some. I'm still ambivalent about it.

I bought these for comfort at work, Seemed to be right at first, but as day wore on, I had to put on band aids at back under strap. Heel strap is too high, especially on the part that goes under ankle. Good arch support and comfortable base.

Even the "Narrow" doesn't work for me. I'm generally a very positive person, but the jury is still out as to whether or not I'm keeping these. While the back strap has a velcro closure, you can only make it "bigger" and this just isn't small enough for a narrow foot. If you do try to pull it tighter, first of all, it's difficult to pull through the metal ring and bulges. Then you realize that the leather isn't even dyed, so it shows tan, not black. The footbed is very comfortable, but I agree with other posts, that the elastic under the front strap is a little uncomfortable if you need to make it smaller, which I did. So, if you have narrow feet, even though it says narrow, these might not the shoe for you. By the way, I don't have very narrow feet, the standard N works well for me.

Not quite right - When I put them on, the Sarasota felt pretty good, but after awhile, their problems showed up. They are tolerably comfortable if I don't plan to walk very fast, very far, or very long. The elastic/velcro toe strap irritates my wide feet on the stitching of the elastic both when it is stretched (end of day) and when it is less tight (morning). I would like no elastic better. Also, my whole foot aches after I have walked awhile and the top edge of the toe strap begins to hurt. I have some Easy Spirit sandals of a similar style that feel much better.

Nice sandal, however the elastic design underneath the toe strap is very uncomfortable. The sewing on both sides of the elastic as you tighten it, digs in to the top of the large toe. I had to return these shoes because of that. Have had several other Clarks that do not have the elastic, and have been terrific.

Not bad, but not great either - I have wide, flat short feet and a weak ankle, so finding trendy shoes that give me the support I need (I do a lot of walking)is almost impossible. After trying out many shoes from Zappos, the Clarks Sarasota was the pair that came the closest. It looks reasonably pretty, goes with any kind of outfit, and gives a good amount of support. There is a kind of strange bulge in the heel when you first get it, but its extra cushioning, and you get used to it pretty quickly. My main problem with these shoes is that the straps don't tighten enough to keep my foot from sliding around, and also the edge of the top strap on both shoes digs into my foot, so I've had to wear band-aids as protection. I've been told that filing the edge with a nickel should help that, but I haven't tried yet.

The shoe was nice looking and I was excited to order it. Sadly, the back strap was too large/long to tighten it to fit. I also thought the color was lighter than the picture. I love Zappos and have picked another pair of shoes.

Hurts a bit - Clarks - yes sometimes you can go wrong. I bought these elsewhere for the color (Zappos didn't have blue in my size); they were fine until I wore them all day, sans nylons. The underside of the front velcro closure has a sort of open seam, which has given me a serious blister. With nylons they're OK, but otherwise I'm going to have to wear a bandage when I wear them without anything on my foot. Otherwise, they are lovely, and comfortable.

Too large - Wish I could have worn this shoe because the pewter color seems very versatile for the summer. I have had no trouble in the past ordering a size 5 from Clarks and having them fit; however, these were too large. The heel strap is particularly loose, and it is not adjustable. Too bad.

Suede Sandals - It's good for casual wearing and only for a short time. Too long in this shoe and it starts to hurt. I was hoping for something a little more comfortable.

Adjustable sandal - This shoe actually fit pretty well. The straps are adjustable so this is good. It doesn't seem to have any arch support, however. I have flat feet so I need some arch support or my feet just get too tired.

I was disappointed that the Suntrek TW #35435 was no longer available. I developed a blister from the closure on the strap that goes around the back of the foot. I had previously thought that I could always depend on Clarks for comfortable shoes.

Ouch! Look carefully! This sandal looks comfortable, but has a hidden flaw. Under the front strap is a piece of elastic that holds the straps together. So even though it looks like the strap is adjustable (that you can open it up and set the width with the velcro), because of the elastic there isn't much give. I developed blisters where the elastic rubbed my feet. I wouldn't buy it again.

Soft and wobbly, only OK - Admittedly I am hard to shop for. I like/need shoes that are firm and grip one's foot well and have good arch support. For someone else's comparison - "Easy Spirit's" shoes are much too soft and non supportive for me to wear and some Munro sandals, that had a similar look, were my all time favorite shoe. My feet are narrow and I try to find velcro closures in sandals. Even though I bought a AA, I needed to tighten the velcro uncomfortably to keep the shoe feeling firmly attached to my feet. I was disappointed in the fit - It wasn't that they were larger than marked - In my opinion, the awkwardness of the straps made the shoes feel a bit clunky and large. They cut into my ankles a little bit when I do this. I am afraid that when they "loosen up" - the shoes will just be way too big. This review sounds terrible - but I am trying to be very honest - If you can wear shoes that fit reasonably well - I would recommend these - they are pretty and versatile enough for the summer.

Sandals - The shoes are great...they look as anticipated, and fit perfectly...my only complaint is that I felt they may have been overpriced...but hey I got them the following day, so I guess I paid for that...final thoughts, great shoes and quick service, but pricey...

The sandals look good. However, the seam lines (sewing lines) that connect the insoles to the sandals scratch the bottom of my feet. It's a design flaw! The insoles should be longer, stretching from the toes to the heel. Currently, the insoles begin an inch from the toes, exactly where I put pressure when I walk, causing friction to my soles. I love the looks, just not the comfort level. So sadly, I have to return the sandals.
