Zappos & Keen are both the coolest... Love these shoes. I enjoy having shoes that are out of the ordinary so Keens are perfect for me. This is my second pair (bought the Newport H2s for a Hawaiian vacation and they are wonderful!) and I remain completely impressed with Keen. Very sturdy and comfy - I'm looking forward to wearing them a lot this winter! ** I did have to buy a half size larger than I'm used to. Of course, Zappos handled the return/exchange flawlessly.

Targhee-WHEE!! Great shoe. My 2nd pair - first pair is the Boulder sandals. Right shoe was a little snug out of the box but is fine to wear, even with a little heavier sock. A little snugger fit than the Boulder sandals. I will be back for more Keen shoes!

Love this shoe!! This is a lot like the Taos sandal that Keen had this summer, except closed and a little more rugged. I love them, I have them in several different colors. If they made more colors, I'd buy more! I love Keen, they just make walking and wearing shoes so much more fun and comfortable.

Great shoe for walking trails! I love this shoe! It has really a really good fit. The sole has good traction for trails and good movement around the ankle. I like the way the lacing system works easy off and on. It looks good too.

Comfy hiker - Like most Keens, it runs somewhat wide, especially in the heel. It is also a bit short. Overall I found the Targhee very comfortable despite a bit of heel slipping. I wear 9.5 and ordered this in a 10. I could use a bit more length when wearing thick socks, but it's not uncomfortable. I hiked trails in these, and they were great. I might want more support and a more secure heel for long arduous hikes, but these are great for most purposes. Very nice look, I got the blue, and am tempted to buy the brown. Keens are the greatest!

I wear Keen shoes for almost everything and year round. Love them. The write-up on the Targhee II stated they ran small and suggested ordering a size larger which I did. I don't see where that is needed. They are just as roomy a cut as all my other Keen models where I consistently wear an W8. I'm keeping them because I plan to use these as winter trail wear and have equipped them with an insole and plan to wear thick socks. But if you are wearing as street shoes then I would stick with normal sizing. I love the look of them and the snazzy laces. However, the laces will not stayed tied. I am careful to use a reef knot, not a granny knot, and have resorted to double tying them. And, still they work loose! I would have thought the ribbed textured would have made these laces bombproof. Oh well. Still love Keen. Sigh.

Very comfortable, rugged, great sole that grips. I always am pleased with Keen. My only criticism is that the heel is too high - but it may be that I'm wanting less between me and the ground these days.

I wear a size 7, and these seemed way too tight in the toe box, especially with a pair of thick socks. The shoes seem to offer great arch support, will be very good shoes to walk in snow/ice, but are somewhat boxy and clunky looking. I have been wearing the Merrell Siren Sport, and that looks practically dainty and feminine next to the Targhee II! The sales associate at Zappos suggested a 7.5 in the Targhee II, offered to send them with next-day shipping and no extra charge (an even exchange), and recommended that I try both sizes on before I decide which size to return. He even e-mailed me the return label! Thank you for such excellent customer service; I'm never shopping for shoes anywhere else!

I have several pairs of Keens, sandals and closed toe so I had high hopes for these. I ordered 1/2 size up and the size was fine for length, but way too big in the heel. I also thought they had a very clunky, boxy look (even for Keens). I returned them and got Merrill Siren Sport Gore-Tex instead and they are perfect with a snug heel fit a far sleeker profile.

I bought these for my 15 year old daughter. She loves them, very comfy and nice looking.

These are terrific! I am a nurse that works 12 hour shifts and have tried many other shoes. First time I put these on my feet, I never wanted to take them off. The only reason why I'm not giving 5 starts is that my heels do slip some in the back but still overall super comfy.

These shoes were great. Unfortunately, after less than a year of walking in wet grass, they were no longer waterproof.

Love these shoes, great for wide flat feet. Roomy toebox, wright size, comfortable with good arch support, unfortunately my heel slips out a lot with every step, which for a hiking shoe is undesirable. Putting in heel inserts has caused me blisters in the past with other styles and wouldn't consider putting them in these shoes. Otherwise as usual a nice Keen product.

A lot of people say that Keens run a half size too big. That may be true, but these are true to size. I wear an 8 1/2 and the 9 is too big.

Be patient - This is the third pair of Targhee's that I have owned. At first, they are a bit stiff --- but be patient. Soon they will conform to your feet and be your best friend. I use them as an all around shoe --- and also to go hiking in the woods with my dogs (great traction and support). Being waterproof is a good plus. I also wear my orthotics in these shoes -- although the insole is good enough to wear without them.

Really love the look... Really love my new boots. They look great, keep my feet warm, and are very well made, high quality product. Ordered a half size up, which was a good thing. With thin socks they slip in the heel a bit, but are fine with a good wool hiking sock.

I love the look of these shoes and kept them on that and the Keen name alone. They've been comfortable for short periods from the first but they're heavy and somewhat tiring. There's so much padding and reinforcement that there's just too much shoe there. This is my fourth pair of Keens and I do like them, just not as much as I expected. They would be great slimmed down.

What a great shoe! Not only comfortable but really a sexy shoe. The grey color can go with just about anything.

Wish they were more pleasant to look at - Not a "comfy" shoe but a lot of support. Took me a while to get used to them but I like them now. I wish they weren't so ugly but they feel good on my feet which is what counts. Get a half size larger than you normally wear.

Christmas Shoes - Fits comfortable and looks good. Has good arch support. My feet don't hurt even working on concrete floors.

For C widths ordering Targhee II - If you’re real width is more like a C than a B, order up a whole size. My real size is 7-7.5 C, but in this shoe I took an 8.5. I ordered both the 8 and 8.5, because in Keen sandals a 7.5 fit best; but for this style, it was definitely an 8.5. Sure wish Keen would make wides in addition to mediums.

Great shoes! I wore them hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. Extremely comfortable and light, yet rugged. My only (minor) complaint is that they were a little unstable on slick rocks. Despite that, I would still recommend them for day hiking.

Great shoe! I first used it on a 5 mile hike and had no problems at all. Very comfortable and the waterproofing works well.

keen targhee - This is my 3rd pair of Keen's - The fit was slightly snug right out of the box - I would have liked to have worn thicker sox, but were quite comfy with trouser sox. Still come highly recommended.

I wanted so much to love these hikers. They are perfect except for the heel which is far too wide. It's impossible to lace the shoe tight enough to hold the heel without squeezing the rest of your foot. Too bad because they have good cushioning, good support, good traction and seem well made. Keen has been disappointing me this year. I have tried three styles that worked in the past but no longer fit right. I don't know why shoemakers "fix" things that aren't broken!
