Ehhh. This shoe is okay. They're waterproof, but they also feel and look like they're waterproof. I sat on this shoe for a while until I found the BROOKS GHOST GORE-TEX, which feels and looks like a sneaker. The shocking part is that they're also waterproof. I saved a lot of money buying the BROOKS GHOST GORE-TEX, because I didn't need to buy an ax to complete the lumberjack look that these Keen shoes were leading me towards. Run away and buy the BROOKS GHOST GORE-TEX shoes instead.

This is honestly the ugliest hiking shoe I've tried on in my entire life, and I've tried on a lot. Sure, maybe it looks cute in a small size but with my size 10 feet the shoe looked like a giant brick. The style of the toe is so ugly and it reminded me of something I'd get for my 2 year old daughter which she would then refuse to wear. I also did not find it that comfortable, either.

I wore these shoes hiking on 7-mile hikes right after I got them. Big mistake. I normally wear an 8, but this shoe felt 1/2-size smaller. My feet were dying, and they even turned a toenail black. Cute hiking shoe, but definitely order 1/2-size up if you're going to wear them on extensive treks.

After reading other reviews I ordered an 8 v. 7.5. I now understand others' comments regarding the tongue. It's awkwardness is because it's attached along the sides in addition to the bottom of it. But this feature makes it waterproof. I wore the shoes around the house for several hours, found them a bit stiff but comfortable for my high instep, wide foot. But back they go. As others wrote, there is significant heel slippage. Really too bad and it's why I gave it 3 stars on Overall rating. Nice shoe otherwise.

This was the first time for a return for me. The shoes kept slipping up on the heel no matter what I did. I tried three different weights of socks and tightened the laces and still it did not work. I ordered my regular size 10m and it was perfect except for the slipping of the heel. I finally sent them back to Zappos and Wow!!!! This was an easy return no hassles whatsoever. I have already received my credit. And all is well. These are the first Keens that I had to return and all of my Keens have fit perfectly since I've bought from Zappos.

The package was delivered on time as promised. However, the waterproof shoes that I chose have gotten a small hole in the fabric on top with in the first couple weeks, thus rendering them not waterproof. This last pair seemed a bit smaller, even though it's the same style and size as all my other pairs. Other than that, they are usually good shoes.

Terrible heel blisters! I bought these 2 years ago and I STILL get blisters from an ill-placed seam running horizontal right across the back of my heel. I am and outdoor educator and needed a comfortable yet technical hiking shoe to get me through the soggy spring. Every time I put them on, I get a hot spot after 20 minutes of walking/hiking. The only way I can wear them now is with moleskin as a preventative measure. HUGE bummer. Really like Keen shoes.

I can't tell too much about the comfort of these shoes because they are too small even though I ordered a 1/2 size larger than I usually wear. They do seem to have good arch support.

:( :( These shoes hurt. They are so clunky. The back digs into my heel and my feet hurt so bad from walking in them a few miles today. They are SO wide I have to grip to keep them on. I have a narrow foot and high arches. I’m an eight and a half and that felt like the toe just touched so I went with the 9. They immediately felt GREAT but after walking in them... I rarely have such problems with shoes. Too bad b/c they look totally adorable on. My boyfriend got the same ones and loves them. Oh well.

I take an 8/12 or 9 shoe, this was a 9. My heel was slipping in the L shoe. Plenty of room in toe box but snug around sides of foot leading up to toe box. Not much cushioning and heavier than other hiking shoes I've tried. Otherwise very stable, sturdy shoe. I returned them.

I don't know what has happened to Keen walking shoes, but these shoes were nowhere near correct in size or width. I purchased 2 pair and have to return both. I am very disappointed in Keen shoes overall lately. It seems that they are no longer making the Voyageur model for women, which was a nice shoe.

The size was too big, but aside from that, way to bulky! No reason for a woman's shoe to be so big. Rugged is one thing. Big is another. Used to love Keens. Not sure what has happened to them but quality, style is not the same.

This was a replacement for my worn out Keen hiking boots. I thought it was an easy order, same shoe, size etc. But it is very different. I wore it in the house with heavy socks and it rubbed on my ankle bone. If I had gone for a hike I would have had very sore ankles. It is a much different shoe than I bought and wore for at least 6 years.

These Keens run big! I don’t know why it says on the web site that they run small! I ordered an 8, the same size as I always wear in Keens. The shoes arrived even looking big in the box. I put them on and wow, wide and long! I exchanged them for half a size smaller but they still slipped on my heels/ankles. ALSO ... the shoes are super heavy! I felt like I was walking with ankle weights on! Ridiculous! I do not recommend this hiking shoe at all!

Like other reviewers said about the heel size- what is going on! My foot was swimming in these and the heel was huge! I have a pair of Keen Targhee II in size 11 from a few years ago and they feel great. I purchased this new pair in a size 10.5 (1/2 size smaller than older ones) and yet they feel a full size too big! Go figure that one out.

I have worn Targhee IIs for many years. This new batch, though, is very odd. It is a way smaller fit and it appears as if the front of the shoe has been truncated. As a result, the arch also does not feel like it is in the right spot. I hope Keen finds another manufacturer because these are no good for me.

I have bought this type of keen shoe for over a decade. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if this is a defective pair or what but the tounge keeps folding over on itself, creating a bunched up area which presses down on the top of my foot. I cannot even tie the laces tight enough to keep this from happening, and then my foot becomes numb. These boots are essentially unusable despite the fit, and arch support being good. I get mad every time I put them on because they are so uncomfortable to the top of my foot. This is a change from all of the previous versions of this I have purchased throughout the years. What a disappointment! I will have to find another brand! :(

Love this shoe, but it the heel slipped, even with a half size smaller. Had to return it.

I really wanted to love these. The 8.5 slipped on my heel too much and the 8 was too short. Darn! Back they go.

I have small feet and can get away with a size 5 to 5 1/2. depending on the brand and style. I thought I may be able to get away with a size 5 1/2 but it was tight in the toes, loose in the heels. The tongue and lace area of the shoes are super rigid feeling, just uncomfortable. Even if they would have fit toes/heel I could tell they'd rub me raw on top of foot. I could barely tie them they were so awkwardly poking my feet. I have pretty slim small feet too. I sent these back immediately.

Definitely a heavier than needed shoe. I found this model to be very stiff, unforgiving, and heavy. It seems like it might be more appropriate for a work boot vs hiking shoe. The later model is better in every way.

I’ve always loved keens and apparently so does everyone else, as I could not find a pair anywhere!! Was excited to find these. They arrived pretty quick. Was a bit disappointed though because I spent $140 on them and they appeared to have already been worn. They had scuff marks in the sides, the color was off and they came already laced up. I needed new sneakers so didn’t want to screw around with sending them back. So, I was not impressed with my first ever order from Zappos.

I have this shoe now and wanted to replace it. I couldn't believe how big it was. Same size 91/2 that I am wearing now.

I have worn the Targhee 11 B width for several years. It is a great walking shoe for me. I purchased and returned several different brands of walking shoes because they just didn't feel and fit. So I finally ordered another pair of the Targhee 11. So disappointed when I put them on and found out they are much wider than what I have now which is a B width. Almost seems missmarked it seems like a wide width.

Very disappointed in the quality of this shoe. I have this same shoe and was replacing it. My old shoes seem to have more padding in them than the new ones. Old shoe is a heavier shoe than the new one, better quality for the older ones. Cheaper made shoe now days. Not paying that much money for a cheaper made shoe. Both shoes did not feel like it was the same shoe. Anticipated arrival of shoes and due to quality compared to older one, very disappointed. . . .
