Not good for underpronators! These shoes feel very comfortable around the foot, but after wearing them for about a month, I noticed that my ankles were aching. The shape of the heel and the less flexible sole seemed to force my foot into one position when I walked. A little research on the internet determined that my foot underpronates, and that I should wear flexible shoes that absorb shock well. I don't feel like these shoes meet those requirements, and want other underpronators to be aware.

This is the fifth pair of Keens I've owned. I bought them, primarily, for walking around the snowy, slushy streets of NYC this winter. They are completely waterproof and keep my feet warm and dry. However, I discovered, to my dismay, that the sole is shockingly slippery when it get wet. Consequently, wet, slushy streets are sort of hazardous in these boots. I've written to Keen to make them aware of this problem. but have not heard back from them yet. I love the boots and am very disappointed that Keen did not give more thought to the compound used in the sole, considering they made the boot waterproof.

The Keen Targhee II Mids initially feel comfortable, but don't break in well compared to boots of similar price and design that are made of a leather upper. In addition, they fit okay if you are only wearing one pair of thin hiking socks, but if you intend to put on the miles up and down a mountain, there's a strong likelihood that you're toes will be jamming up against the front of the boot on the downhills. I recommend buying this boot a half-size larger than your normal sneaker size. I wear an 11 in Nike; get these boots in 11.5. Personally, there are better boots out there for the same price. They're OK, but I was expecting much better.

Very flimsy and offer almost zero protection other than the bottoms. There is not much ankle support, and the seams are coming undone after 2 months.

Received boot today, and my initial impressions were that these are typical mass produced factory items. A little stiff when I put them on and then discovered the shoe strings were not long enough to tie the boots. For the price paid, they could at least be provided with adequate shoe strings. Finally able to make a small knot and walk around the house and the then the surrounding area. I imagine they will need a little more breaking-in before I could make a judgment of their comfort. However, right out of the box they were not comfortable. If initial impressions are important, I don't believe they are worth the price paid. I ordered a full size larger than what I would normally wear given the reviews I have read previously, and this held true. I had also tried the shoe at REI, but they did not have my size.

Fed Ex just delivered these shoes to me a short while ago and I fell in love with them the moment I opened the box!!! But then they looked even better on my feet!! :-) Ladies, these shoes are hot - you really should consider them. I'm seriously thinking about going against my own rule and getting them in another color...hmmmmmm. I can't recommend them highly enough. They're even comfortable for high heels (I mean they don't feel like sneakers or anything, but still very comfortable). I think I'll be buying more Zinc shoes!

These boots are heavy on, and the Tongue is so thick, that it doesn’t fit all the way into the ankle comfortably. They are not suitable for long-term wear for me.

The size feels a half size small which I can live with. The biggest problem with the shoe/boot is the slant in the heels on both boots that make the ankles turn inward. Impossible to hike for more than a mile in these

Soles began falling apart about a year into wearing them for work. Great for occasional use, but not long term daily use. Oh and they stopped being waterproof once the sole started falling apart. The soles are glued on with no stitching.

Style and brand are usually great, however this is the second pair of keen boots that fell apart at the toe within months of wearing. I am moving to another brand.

Boy has Keen's quality gone downhill over the last few years. This pair is the pinnacle of poor quality. The sizing is ridiculous. My left foot is typically slightly larger than my right. With this pair, the left shoe is significantly larger than the right. They also look incredibly cheap. Very disappointed with Keen. I'll be looking for a different brand.

As suggested ordered 1/2 size larger than my foot size, but shoes were still much too short . Also slightly too snug in the heel. Styling of boots is excellent and they appear well made, but Keen needs to correct the sizing issue

First off, Zappos is awesome. Next day delivery, easy returns, awesome customer service. I bought the Keen Tarheege due to the majority good reviews. The rubber on the bottom of both boots where it attaches to the leather is peeling away. I would have returned them but I only where them weekends because of workboots during the week. So I don't where them much. For $140 I expected more durability. Maybe they're a lemon but I've read other reviews on different sites that say they got the exact same result as mine. I have a pair of Keen Newport that are holding up awesome after two years. The Tarheege is a different story though. Gotta agree that manufacturing standards must have slipped as of the last couple years.

I took a chance an ordered a pair of these (size 10). Most folks said they run a half a size larger so that is what I ordered. Heel area was fine but the toe area was slipping around when I walked around the house. Was going to return them for my measured size (9 1/2) but trying them on at the local REI store the 9 1/2 were a bit tight in the heel. I think they are a nice shoe but I just don't think the shoe envelope fits my foot as well as it does for other folks. First shoe I've ever returned to Zappos...and I've been a Zappos customer for over 10 years. I sure like this policy!

I am a very big fan of keens and have had 7 pair so far but #8 just is not the same. The others needed zero break in these I can't wait to get them off. My wife has also had this same problem. We buy the exact boot as before and no where near as comfortable. Did they find someone else to make their stuff? Will try once more but will have to go elsewhere sorry.

I love the way these boots look and feel, but both times I have bought this type of shoe from Keen the moulding falls apart, held together by glue. As soon as they get a little wet the bottom moulding separated from shoe body.

These are not comfortable shoes. They look good in the picture but in reality is lacking. There are lots of sharp corners that will give blisters, too rigid, too much plastic in the tongue/upper. I would not walk a mile in these without complaining.

I had these shoes for 1 1/2 months and the tread is worn out, they are not waterproof. I didn't expect expensive shoes to be such junk.

Not What I Expected - I really like my Keen sandals and was hoping to get an equally fitting boot for pack-hiking. I really wanted to like these boots, but there were a few things that made me send them back. 1-the toe box is much narrower than I expected 2-little support for ankle and no grip on heel. 3-because of 1 and 2, the boot grips a ton on the front of my foot but lets the heel slide around sloppily. 4-they are very stiff and feel like I have a piece of plywood strapped to the bottom of my foot. 5-I looks a bit like a moonshoe once they are on. 6-after inspecting the seams I was also a little skeptical about the glued edges. Overall, I would expect more from Keen. It just wasn't a good match for me.
