There was something on the side of the shoe that was pressing into my foot -- it was very uncomfortable -- and only in the left shoe. Have to return them. I really liked them so its so unfortunate.

Anticipating this item will be returned.

I should of sent them back,but I wore thinner socks and walked outside with them.

I have an older pair of the 11.5 Targhee and it fits great. Ordered two pair of the Targhee II's; a size 11.5 and a 12. The 11.5 was a little short and the size 12 seemed to have gotten about 2 sizes wider. Have to return both. Sad as they appeared to be a very good shoe.

These just aren't comfortable for me. I'm well past the break-in stage, and my feet still get sore after anything over a mile of use. Unfortunately these are headed to the garbage bin with a lot of life left in them.

Great looking boot. The extremely wide toe box which made these impossible for me to wear. Too bad they don't offer narrow sizes.

These fit but are not very durable, started to see raveling stitching after a short period

True to size and width. The wide toe box is a great idea but it is rather shallow. It all depends on your feet as to whether it will work or not. Good lacing system.

I was really excited when I got these. They're really nice looking boots, and they felt wonderful. I walked around the house in them for a day, and my arthritic feet felt well supported, and not bothered by the laces. By the way, I really like the fact that there was an adequate amount of laces plus a couple hooks at the top, as opposed to some shoes which have way too closely-spaced laces which makes them a hassle to get on and off. It snowed a couple of days ago, and after a day or so my wife and I took a hike around our neighborhood, in which we walked in some snow. Nothing serious, and only a few times did Snow get on the top of my boots, which I just shook off. However, I kept them on after the hike, and I began to notice that my right boot felt damp. I took the boots off, the left one was slightly damp and the right one was noticeably damp. I was really bummed. I had spent a lot of time researching online, and this was the only boot that had a five star rating overall. I just think that if you're going to spend $140 for a pair of boots that are labeled waterproof, they should actually be waterproof. Reluctantly, I sent them back.

I enjoyed the fit of these. I recommend ordering a half size larger. I appreciate the fact that they come in wider widths. However after three years the sole are delaminating which seems to be a issue with these shoes. I don’t think they hold up as well as other brands.

They hurt my feet. I will never buy another Keen shoe for as long as I live.

Runs really short & narrow.

The fit and size seemed adequate. The boot felt bulky and heavy, but perhaps that's just my perception.

I'm encountering this more and more, regardless of the brand. I have another pair of Keen's that fit true to size but unfortunately these don't. I wear a 15 so half sizes are not normally an option.

These rubbed my ankles in an uncomfortable way. And they look very blocky and make my feet feel enormous. Lots of toe room, though!

These boots are MORE than a half size smaller than usual you definitely need to order larger than you normally wear. The ones my husband got are more like women's sizing than mens. Hard to even reorder with sizing so far off. When and if you can ever get the sizing right they are good boots.

These are the best shoes yet for my problematic feet, but Keen has quality control problems. I have had to return two pairs because of off gassing of skunky odors of bad cement or badly cured leather, and one pair due to failed stitching. I keep coming back to them though because when they are good, they are good.

These shoes are light and very cozy. I wear these to work a labor job. These shoes made it so my feet do not ache all night after a hard days work. My issue with them is that the soles wear very quickly. I have to purchase a pair every year because of this. In one year, I have them completely worn down to no tread. I am on my 5th pair, but I was having foot pain wearing work boots, so I keep purchasing them.

I'm glad that I read the Zappos note that these run a little small. I bought 1/2 size larger and they fit pretty close to my true size. Have not hiked with them yet, but they feel good and sturdy, yet lightweight.

The good: Very comfortable, good padding, sole absorbs big rocks on the trail. The bad: Too wide. Sole is showing early signs of wear in the soft spots (divots between lugs) and on the sides after only 4 months of weekend use. Those areas seems more like a form and it frays or gets chunks taken out when hitting rocks etc. Will be calling Keen today.

I like the shoe's looks and it feels sturdy, but I have to send it back. I ordered a half-size larger than normal, and that wasn't enough. Should have gone one full size larger. I ordered a pair of Timberland White Ledge and a pair of Columbia North Plains at the same time, and will keep those.

Still undecided if I will keep these boots. Currently wearing them inside to decide. Pros: Good construction, thick soles that seem like they would hold up well to rocky terrain. Cons: Bow tie design on the back looks silly. They are made too wide, even with hiking socks. Ankle opening is too big. Makes it easy to put the boot on, but will collect lots of debris out on the trail. I wear a size 17 D, so my options are limited.

The boot is comfortable and seem to provide good traction. However, after one or two hike, the sole seem to be coming apart on the right boot. It may be my mistake but parts of the sole seem not glued well.

I love the fit, wide and a little short which fit me fine. I ordered my regular size. The rubber soles are not that grippy compared to Vibram. These are rather warm, they do not vent like gortex and are not water proof. I sent a few pairs back, but I will keep these because I still like them.

The only con that kills these for me: When you hook the laces around the top hooks, the lace crosses at the very top of the tongue of the shoe. This makes the laces end up against your shin. Lame. Keen, please make the boot's tongue longer.
