I bought a size 11 instead of my usual 10. They felt just fine on my very wide square feet. These are the most comfortable hiking boots that I have had. They wear well and are waterproof so far. I have been wearing them on construction job sites and hiking with a heavy pack in the White Mountains.

I must say these boots are incredibly comfortable right out of the box! With that being said, order a full size larger than you normally take. I did not listen to the other reviewers and I ordered first a 10 (my size), then a 10½ and finally an 11 to get a good fit. I purchased some over the counter orthodics to give me a tad more arch support and I removed and traced the insole from these boots to trim my orthodic to fit and it was exactly on the size 10 line that was drawn on the bottom of the orthodic. I love the styling of these boots and the comfort. I cannot wait to take them out on the trail!

Comfortable boots that are worn every day to work at the jobsite and around home. I take the footbed out and put in an orthotic and they feel still just great.

I love these boots. I used them in my recent trip to Scandinavia and the Arctic Circle. Best: wore them while walking on cobblestones and these gripped well. You won't feel the unevenness at all. Your feet are balanced and should avoid slip and fall. Untested: did not have a chance to use under wet condition. The weather in Denmark and Norway was great and this is not a cliche. I will definitely wear them on future trips and never use sneakers while touring!

Ever since I bought my first pair of Keen Targhees (the first generation), I have been sold on Keen products. I bought them over two years ago, and they have seen all sorts of abuse. I wear them as my primary kick-around shoes, my winter casual shoes, hiking, working, motorcycling on and off road, even some snowshoeing (though I strongly recommend the Keen Summit County boot for snowshoeing)...you name it. I still have them, as the boots are very much intact, only cosmetically suffering, and the tread is finally a bit worn (most likely from my bad habit of dragging my feet a little while motorcycling), and they are still waterproof! I bought the Keen Targhee II Mids about a month ago, and I'm happy to say that all of the old benefits are still there and the style is updated a bit aesthetically. Great ankle support, superior toughness, and I am in love with Keen's wide toe box and toe bumper feature. My only complaint of this product (and of a lot of other Keen products) is that the tread lacks a bit of aggressiveness and suppleness which prevents me from hiking in them year-round. The tread is very aggressive when applied to gravel, mud, and snow. However, wet pavement, and smooth/wet rocks demand a softer sole with a bit more aggressive tread (I think that Merrell wins with their material/tread design). This is only a drawback if those are the types of terrain you typically hike in (it is for me in the Adirondack High Peaks). It just seems to me that a waterproof boot should have a bit of a better tread that works in wet weather. There is a trade-off to the feature though, and that is the longevity of the tread wear: it will last through a lot of abuse. I only wish that Keen would come out with a more minimalist hiking shoe for my summer hiking/scrambling in the wet, rocky high peaks of the Adirondacks (similar to the Merrell Chameleons, but with Keen quality and longevity).

These boots were for my husband who swore by his Salomons for hikes and walks. But he said these were more comfortable right out of the box and he's completely happy with them after near-constant use. I've been urging him to get a pair of Keens for sometime; no boot, I have found, is as comfortable and offers such support and at a good price. They look good, too.

I absolutely love Keen shoes. These boots are no exception. So far I've put over 75 miles of trails on them in all kinds of weather and they havent faltered. Dry unblistered feet!

Great boots! Comfortable, secure, and good looking. Wore them to hike in the Wasatch National Forest, Utah. Glad I bought them.

I bought a pair of these about 6 months ago now. Incredibly comfortable, all day every day wear. One of the lace loops broke on me under 3 months in, I called up Zappos, sent them in, got a new pair back (Thanks Zappos!) Trouble free and not showing any signs of failure (the other pair was getting frayed and whatnot. This pair, though, has been 100%. I also have size 16 feet, and this is one of few pairs I've been able to enjoy. Highly recommended, in spite of the pair that caused issues.

This is my third pair of these shoes, Keen Targhee II Mid. They fit me perfectly as I have a wide foot. This shoe is comfortable but with plenty of support for recreational hiking. I cannot find any negatives with this shoe, only positives.

Most comfortable hiking boots I've ever worn. Hiked several miles on mountain trails the day I got them and my feet felt great afterwards. Surprised that I really didn't even need to break them in. Highly recommended.

My husband has me order these for him about every 9 months. I think he's on pair #3 or 4. He doesn't wear any other shoes except on Sunday and if he could get away with wearing these then, he would!

I have "problem" feet. Left foot bigger than right, planar fasciitis. Keen are about the only brand I can wear. I think these run a little small. Lightweight, comfortable and pretty good looking.

Good boots so far. They are fairly stiff, but very light for a hiking boot. They definitely run small. I ordered a full size larger than my normal shoe, and could have gone up 1/2 more and been safe. Overall, I really like them. They look good and are waterproof so far.

the best shoe/boot in the history of shoe/boots. I climb ladders and am on my feet all day. I used to wake up in the morning and it would take me about 20 minuted to be able to walk on my sore feet and tendons. not joking, wearing Keens has completely solved the problem. This is my second pair. If you will be on your feet all day long, then this is the shoe for you. I tried Northface hikers but they fell apart. Even with extreme use the Keen boots have been wearable probably three times as long as the Northface. Big fan, big fan.

I like the boots. Good traction in snow. The fit is very good for my foot. I wear size 16D in Nike, Reebok, Dunham, New Balance, LaCrosse boots. Also love Zappos.

These are excellent boots. These are probably among the most comfortable boots that I have worn. I get a lot of compliments on style. More importantly, the feel and fit are great. One caution: when hiking be sure to wear appropriate socks that prevent chafing to ankle and lower shin area. I made a mistake of wearing short athletic socks on my first hike and had to cut it short because of chafing in this area. Once they are broken in, that is not an issue.

Another great shoe by Keen. This was my second pair of Keens. I bought a pair of Keen Mary Janes and fell in love. These were a Christmas gift from my husband and I live in them.these are the most comfortable shoes ever. I am a type one diabetic And have trouble with feet pain, so comfortable good shoes are important for me to have. I live in these boots, I live in the smoky mountains so I hike a lot and these boots are great for that but they are so comfortable I always wear them weather I'm going to dinner or working in the yard or hiking. I would buy more of this same shoe!

My husband chose these to replace a pair of Merrell boots, because the Merrell boot arches had collapsed and they were uncomfortable for him to walk in for long periods of time. They have much better arch support and are just as comfortable/waterproof/warm.

I have got to say that I am a shoe guy. I think there are not many guys who pay much attention to their shoes but that is another story. I bought these a couple of years ago and wore them what seems like daily. While living in Colorado I hiked in the most severe inclines, rockiest, roughest toughest areas in the state. Did I mention that these were my primary motorcycle boots? Finally they started to break down. The seam opened up on the top and I had to order another pair. I will keep the old pair for summer riding and walking around the block and the new ones for the times when I need them for the long haul. I could not part with them. They are like friends. You do not dump them in the trash when they get a little shabby. Great fit great support great looks. Marry me.

I bought two pair of these 2-3 years ago from Zappos. One brown, one grey. These are the best hiking/walking boots I have owned--I have owned a dozen pair, cheap to expensive. These fit like a smooth comfortable glove, better than any boot I have had. I walk and hike a lot, never a hint of a blister or soreness, warm, hot, and cold weather. These boots seem to be lasting forever, including the soles. The lacing up is swell too--nothing to it--a simple pleasant change from the stringing and wrapping around hooks and eyelets I was used to.

As Zappos recommended I order a half size larger and got a perfect fit! These are hands down the most comfortable, boots or shoes I have every owned. I can honestly say I'm going to buy more keens in the future. Also Zappos customer service was really amazing. They have definitely earned me as a future customer.

These are very good hikers. I use them for two dog walks a day (5-6 miles a day) on sidewalks, developed trails and mountain hiking. Good water resistance, comfortable, nice room in the toe box and provides good cushioning. I would definitely purchase them again.

Let's start out by ouch on the price. Oh on the comfort. With a bunion my shoe needs to by boxy around the toe, but narrower around the heel. This fits the bill. I love the plastic hooks on top which hold the laces in place. I did have trouble getting used to the height of the boot.
