Comfortable fit right out of the box. Slipped them on and went on a 5 mile trail hike - no problems or issues. Only wish I had found them sooner.

Trust the reviews. These run about a half size too small. Bought my husband 2 pair of boot/shoes & both fit perfectly by reading the reviews. He was dumbfounded that I was able to purchase 2 pair of shoes, sight unseen, & both fit perfectly. These are wonderful. There is a tongue protector of some sort to keep the dirt out. Previous shoes let fine dirt from our yard into the shoe causing me to have to presoak all his socks before washing. Ugh! He says these are super comfortable & they are nice looking boots.

What can I say about these boots that hasn't already been said? Not much. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They are light and give my feet the support they need. I tried the Keen Bryce mid boot, hurt my feet as soon as I put them on, currently being used as a door stop. I guess all Keens are not made equal. Love these boots. I use these as a casual/work shoe, not as a hiking boot.

Even though I ordered large as suggested I still needed to send them back for an even larger pair. Zappos return policy is great. As for the boots, they are great too. Very comfortable, seem to be well made, but haven't tested them out in the bitter cold yet.

Third attempt at a pair of boots and these were the ones! Very comfortable as soon as I put them on. Knowing these ran small I ordered a size 10 and they were perfect.

These are amazing shoes! I replaced the liners with Aetrex personalized liners and after three years of plantar fasciitis, I can keep these on all day without pain in my feet. In fact my feet are getting better every day since wearing these for a week.

My son will only wear Keen footwear for all of his adventures in Boy Scouts. He outgrew his first pair and was thrilled that Keen still carried the same model. There was no break-in time needed with Keen! They keep his feet warm and dry in the winter, autumn and spring, but he also uses these boots all summer while at camp and other high adventure trips (he just wears the correct socks for the conditions).

I purchased these Keen boots in May 2014 for a June fly in fishing trip to Canada. I really wanted a light weight boot that was waterproof, warm and offered extra toe protection. Keen hit the mark on all of my requirements and I am wearing them almost every day on a casual basis. They are so comfortable and stable, I have a hard time wearing anything else. Weather right now in New England is cold with snow just around the corner and having these boots is a comfort. Got to go as I am going to order the same boots in black. By the way, Zappos next day delivery and easy return option is the very best you can get. Zero hassles!

I tried a lot of different hiking boots on and finally went with these. was tough to get the right size because one size was a bit too big (heel was coming out a little) and the other was maybe just a 1/5 in. too small. Went with the small size and I think it was the right choice. These boots are extremely comfortable. I hiked a 14er wearing them (14000 ft. mountain in Colorado) - that's a pretty tough ~8 mile hike that is pretty steep (both ways - up and down) and other much shorter hikes and so far so good. No damage to the boots and they feel very comfortable. Had not "tested" them in a real water test but they survive well the occasional mud or puddle and my feet remain dry. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable from the start, these are my third pair of Keens. I wear them hiking on the weekend and more recently for work during the week. Feel true to size. Dry quickly. All around great shoe.

I have never had a pair of boots that felt this comfortable. I wore them to Canada on a fly in fishing trip through rain and cold weather. My feet were dry and comfortable after 12 tough weather hours. Just got back from hiking in NM and again, these boots were rock solid and comfortable. Toe box is especially well designed and protects against slips and rock encounters. One of the best features of these boots is the weight! They are so light you almost feel like you don't have them on! Zappos is the best on next day delivery and between that and owning a Best Of Class Keen boots, I am buying another pair. Thank you!

Keens shoes keep you going. Fit was great, no tired legs and they last. I love 'em. Get a pair today. Enjoy good feet.

I really like these boots. I wear these and Voyageur version and have gone though a couple of pairs of them over the last couple of years. The picture on the website made them look purple. They were actually gray.

Best shoes made. Bought a pair in 2008 and it's all I have owned since. Great ankle support and comfy too. I have walked 15 miles in very rough terrain with these and feet are fine. Love my Keens!

Great comfortable hiking boots. Light and easy quality. I will be using them this fall for elk hunting.

Did a several mile hike a few days after getting them. They were great! Comfortable with lots of support and traction!

Okay, I am reviewing this on behalf of my husband after his feedback because I ordered the boots for him. The boots are excellent, he likes them so much, he wouldn't buy any other as work boots! Actually this is his second pair of the Keen Targhee II Mid. The best part of it all is the Zappos customer service! We first bought Keen Targhee II in Gargoyle color but after a month the sole started coming apart and I contacted Zappos who emailed a return label and they shipped another pair overnight and got it in 2 days! The next pair again in Gargoyle color didn't last a month, the sole was coming apart too this time my husband contacted them, sent the pair back decided to order it in Shitake/Brindle which he had before (lasted more than a year) and it was shipped and received in two days! The pair is perfect! I believe the issue is with the particular color and its glue! I wouldn't hesitate to buy more from Zappos with the privilege of 365 day returns and wonderful customer service! I am looking forward to buying mine already saved on my wish list. Keep on keeping on Zappos! We are so grateful!

Great boot! Very comfortable! Because of my foot size I don't ever get a great fit like this. I did order a size up but Keen does go high so no problem.

My feet grew, again. They are now size 15, but I have very long toes. My middle toes have been suffering. I have bought more than a dozen Mid-high boots (returning most [thanks, Zappos!]). I have finally found shoes that fit! The Keen Targhee have a very square toe box, similar to Altra's "Foot-shaped" toe box, and have plenty of room for my toes, yet the mid-shoe, and especially the heels, are normal width, or maybe, slightly narrow (yes, my feet look like a duck's). These shoes are great in every way. Snug heels and mid foot, very supportive throughout, and they have excellent grip on the sandy cliff trails, around Kanab, Utah. They work well on every surface I have thrown at them: Loose, deep, sand. Slick rock. Slick rock dusted with sand. Wet sand. Mud. Wet slick rock. You name it!

I ordered these for my 13 year old son for his first backpacking trip. He really liked the boots - lightweight and comfortable. The boots performed well on a rugged trip. And, even though my son spent very little time breaking in the boots (pretty much wore them right out of the box), no blisters!

I love these shoes. I have owned several pair. They are very comfortable and sturdy. I wear them every day and they last a year and a half before some pieces of the bottom come loose. Even after that they can be worn and are comfortable - they just don't work well when you step in puddles. They can get a bit hot at times. Also, the waterproofing doesn't last forever. Still, I would recommend them to everyone.

Keens have saved my feet. I have short fat feet (Men's 6 E) and Keen is the only shoe that actually fits me, literally. This shoe fits the bill wonderfully.

Probably one of the most comfortable shoes I have owned. No break in period, ordered 1/2 size bigger like people suggested, good call. Another reviewer said they are slippery, I have not found that to be the case.

After exchanging the first pair for a larger size, the boots were perfect. I wore them on 3 hikes the following week and they were very comfortable. I normally wear size 9 1/2 or 10, but finally chose 10 1/2. This allowed for the 1/2 inch extra inside the boot for more comfort.
