The shoes always end up being good but the best thing is the friendly, concerned service! Zappos has some very nice people working for it. Thanks for making my shopping on the phone a good experience. The free shipping helps enormously and with my need for EE width, you offer some of the best choices.

My favorite shoes! I wasn't too fond of them when I first got them, they were very stiff. But I wore them whenever it snowed as they were my only waterproof shoes. They soon softened up, and are so comfortable they just became the shoes I wanted to grab every morning. They are over 2 years old and still look okay. But I'm ready for a nicer, new looking pair. The sole is still in great shape, though. Impressive, as I'm notoriously hard on shoes! I'll keep wearing these, but want another pair for when I want to look a little nicer. I'm a heavy stay-at-home Mom with young kids. I wear them for daily activity fall through spring and some light trail hiking. I'll agree to go up at least half a size! The width is fine (I wear wide), though.

Great boot. Keeps my feet warm in the bitter cold. Easier to shop Zappos than drive to several stores and never find what I'm looking for. Usually wear 8 or 8-1/2 wide. Ordered the 9 as suggested. Design makes my foot look smaller than a 9. Very comfortable and highly recommend this boot.

Great shoe. Wore it hiking in Alaska. I normally wear a 9 in New Balance, but I had to get a 9.5 in this style. Its not a beautiful shoe, but very functional and comfortable.

NB are great shoes. Biggest problem I have is the fact that I have a double A 81\/2 foot, which means that my selection is limited. I don\'t know if this is a problem with the vendor or Zappos.

Shoes came very quickly faster than originally promised and were great. A wide shoe shoe that fit fine and was very comfortable.

This shoe is a little narrow and even a bit shorter than usual for New Balance. I am hoping it will stretch out a little in width with wear. Otherwise very supportive and comfortable.

I began walking\/hiking near my home for exercise but found that my while Nikes that were great for around town they where not up to the task of protecting my ankles and knees. These are! They were comfortable right out of the box with no break in required. My entire foot is cushioned and supported including under the ball of my foot which tends to be an ignored area of impact in women\'s shoes. They have become my weekend shoe of choice for any casual activity.

Wow! Ordered these over the memorial day weekend when Zappos was closed. They arrived today (Tuesday) before 3pm! Amazing! They fit great. Ordered a 1/2 size larger. Lots of toe room for my wide toes. Just the right height. Looking forward to wearing them on my trip to Lake Superior and the Canadian Shield.

I love these shoes...very comfortable and well-made. I had to buy a full size larger than my normal size but they now fit perfectly. Thanks Zappos for the quick return and replacement.

I have purchased two pairs of NB 976 in the past and loved them. Tried these 977s and they run very small and will be returned. I was extremely disappointed with the fit. Otherwise, they are attractive and seem as sturdy as the previous model. I would recommend ordering at least a half size larger. As always, Zappos service and shipping was exceptional!

I ordered this shoe early Thursday morning January 20th and was pleased it arrived Friday January 21th! Classic Zappos speedy delivery which I did appreciate! I paid attention to the recommendation to order a half size larger - I usually wear an 11.5 B (which was not available in this model shoe) and figured the 12 B would be perfect - and indeed it was! Not too big and not too small - I was tickled and happy! The shoe feels a little stiff which I assume will go away with time. It does not appear to have a lot of cushioning inside - I recommend a nice thick sock. They look nice on my feet and I expect to get a lot of wear out of these. I specifically got them because I wanted the water proof/ gortex shoes. They will be put to the test in a couple of weeks when I take a trip to the Northern California coast where it rains (sideways rain!) all the time. Thank you Zappos!

Normally, I wear a 7W shoe. I had been looking for a good waterproof walking shoe and tried other manufacturers' walking boots/shoes. Unfortunately, even those 7 EE shoes/boots were too narrow, particularly at the top of my feet. I saw these NB shoes online, and read the reviews. I followed some of the reviewers' advice and ordered this shoe in size 7.5, a half size larger than my usual size. I ordered the EE width. I am so happy! They fit perfectly. They are so comfortable. At first the collars were a little stiff, but after a short time they relaxed and feel soft and comfortable around my ankles. Zappos' super fast service is wonderful, too.

Very happy. Ordered these last evening and received them today. I am amazed with the customer service. I wear a size 10 AAA, but after reading others' recommendations I ordered size 11 2AA. They are great! So comfortable so far. I've been wearing them for several hours and they feel good. Can't wait to go walking with them.

Zappos saved the day by shipping overnight the right ones in time for my vacation. All customers looking for hiking boots should remember that heavy socks usually require an increase in width. I wore these shoes my entire vacation and was really comfortable. No breaking in required.
