I love these boots so much, I have them in brown and black. I believe they are worth the money as far as price per wear! They are extremely comfortable. I bought the size 5, knowing they run a little large. I cannot recommend these boots enough!

The boot is definitely high quality and fits well, but it's really, really plain. Guess you can tell from the picture... somehow I missed that. I decided to get something with a little more character.

Well made, classic style. However, they were too narrow for my very wide foot. It's very difficult for me to find a boot because I have such a wide foot but a more narrow calf. I went a half size up hoping that they would work but no such luck. The shaft was a regular fit and not too large like most tall boots that run wide. I'm sorry to have to return because they are otherwise a great boot!

This is a wonderfully comfortable boot; very well made. I did end up returning this boot because I wanted a little less of a clunky boot, and I already had another pair similar to it. But I remain a loyal customer of La Canadienne. But if this is the style you are after, it is a lovely boot.

This boot fits like a glove! The shaft fits nicely, close to the calf and overall fits true to size. The color is a very rich, dark brown. I love the fact that water won't hurt them. Can't wait to wear them with skirts this fall!

I haven't had a chance to wear these outside the house yet, but they seem very comfortable. The calf is a bit narrower than I would have expected, but overall they seem to be exactly what they described and run true to size.

Just as other reviewers have stated, this is a very comfortable boot. They feel like you slipped your foot into new trainers. No frills, walk-everywhere simple black boot. I love the way it hugs the top of your calf, but hope it doesn't loosen up too much and develop baggy ankles.

These were a gift to a friend. She loves them, say they fit supremely (9.5 W). They look very expensive, and are comfortable to walk the city in and waterproof!

I spent forever shopping for my ideal boot... I wanted something stylish and professional that would allow me to trudge safely in snow and rain. This boot has a very classic look to it and the leather is very lush. (It has a 'new leather' look, but there is little to no visual evidence of waterproofing.) The heel is just chunky and low enough that I can walk around Manhattan all day without a blistering heel. Wearing these boots is not as comfortable as slipping on my favorite pair of flats, but it's quite comfortable considering. I find the toe to be a little narrow (and I wear a 'narrow' sized shoe normally) but I'll probably just pick up some inexpensive shoe stretchers to solve the problem. I would also like to note that there isn't a whole lot of arch support in this shoe, so if this is an issue for you I'd recommend picking up some cushy soles.

Perfectly comfortable fit. I worried they might be too shiny because there waterproof, but these boots look great.

These are great boots. I walked all over New York City in them shortly after I got them and they kept me warm, dry and comfortable. And they look great too!

This boot was my first purchase with Zappos. I love this boot. I ordered size 9 wide width. The leather is beautiful and feels great on my feet. A day after these boots arrived I ordered another pair in brown. They are expensive but I considered it a good investment because I live in a generally cold and wet climate. They are very comfortable right out of the box with no "breaking in" required. I Love Zappos customer service! I will be a loyal customer.

I have a wide foot and these boots (in wide) fit perfectly! They are comfortable, well made and good looking. I get a lot of compliments. Because I ordered them in wide I was able to go down half a size from what I normally order and the fit was perfect.

I love these boots. I have a wide foot and the wide size fits great. There is little arch support, but these aren't running shoes! I can wear them all day with no problem.

Love these very comfortable and versatile boots! Slim around the calf, yet still able to tuck in straight cut jeans. Good with tights or medium weight wool sock. Keep toes warm and great in the snow. Only wish they were a bit more stylish/dressy with slightly higher heel and less prominent sole. Otherwise, the go-to basic boot!

Like many before me, I have tried many styles of boots, only to come away from the ordeal very disappointed. I had made a comment to an acquaintance regarding my frustration in finding a comfortable boot and she highly recommended I try La Canadienne. I am so glad I took her advice. I love these boots, and I have worn them often without any complaints. There was no break in period necessary. I purchased the boot in wide to accommodate my orthotics and it worked out great! The leather has softened nicely and they are warm and waterproof which I find a plus with any shoe or boot. Now, I am contemplating purchasing another pair. Great boots; worth every penny!

I swallowed hard and invested in these boots. Zappos was super speedy with the delivery and customer service. I was very glad I had read through the reviews since someone with a narrower calf had written that the circumference of these boots was larger than marked and that the 9 measured 15". I measured boots that I had that fit okay and they were 15". When I received these, they fit perfectly but I would not want them to be any more snug. As it turned out, they also only had the wide width when I ordered and since my feet run wide, I went with that. I have no doubt the normal width would have been too narrow for me. The boots look great and I think they will be very durable for Chicago falls/winters/springs.

These boots are great! They look amazing, fit like a glove and are warm and dry as well. I am on my second pair (two different colors), and just bought a pair for my daughter. She doesn't want to take them off!

I ordered the La Canadienne Passion after eleven pm one evening and they were on my doorstep by four pm the following day, less than 24 hours. My decision was based on reading other reviews, as that helped tremendously with what size to order. I bought them to wear on a trip to NYC and wore them all day every day for four days and walked and walked. They are very comfortable and stylish. I love them.

These boots are amazing! They are comfortable and look good with a pair of skinny jeans. I bought a size 12 and they fit my feet/calves perfectly. In case you're wondering, I'm 6'0 with slim calves. I didn't have any problems with the shaft being too large, which was my problem with previous boot purchases. Every time I wear these boots, I receive compliments from people. Lovely boots.
