This is one of three boots I bought this year. (Yes, I know; couldn't decide among them.) I love this one for the high-traction rubber sole and sleek fit. They hug my calves perfectly but still allow plenty of room not just for jeggings, but also straight-leg jeans. I think these are best for narrower feet. The leather is so soft and comfy...they keep my feet warm and dry...and I can walk in them all day. My first boots from this brand, but they won't be the last.

I love these classic boots, they are beautiful and comfortable. I have not had them long but they look very well made, high quality in every respect. I couldn't be happier. I will definitely buy boots from this company again.

I just got these boots yesterday. I ordered my normal size and the fit is spot on. I have thin legs but the calf of the boot fits perfectly. They are good looking, well made, comfortable boots.

This is a lovely boot. I usually wear 8W or 8.5W depending on the cut. I ordered 8.5W and it "just" fits...I could wear them with tights or thin socks. They would be comfortable for work or around town, but I had hoped to use them for winter travel. I'm not sure they'll work for me if when I have to do a lot of walking. I'll probably send them back. These boots are great. Very comfortable and stylish enough for work, chill enough for casual. I walked a couple miles in them the first day with no repercussions.

Beautiful boot. Can't wait for fall. No need to worry about La Canadienne boots in the rain or snow - they are waterproof. I have two other pair and can vouch for that.

I love the comfort of these boots on my feet, however they are too wide around the calf for me. I plan on having them altered at the shoe repair. I would purchase another pair of La Canadienne boots without hesitation. The quality is exceptional.

I have narrow heels and wide toes, and I run between a 6.5 and a 7. I bought this boot in a 6.5 W and it is just perfect -- the most comfortable boot I've ever worn right out of the box. I usually don't do well with heels this high, but the boot is so supportive, I can stand on my feet all day. I wore these for the first time to an all-day conference, and I was pleasantly surprised that be not only pain-free but comfortable. Very impressed and glad I made this investment. It does look like the back heel will wear down quickly, but they can be reheeled easily.

Like many, I hesitated at the price. But I could always send them back. They arrived. I put them on and they looked fabulous. A bit of a heel but not too much. Warm and dry feet and legs. I live in the cold north east so these are my new favorite boots. Well made and even on sale. Thank you, Zappos!

These boots are gorgeous. I love Canadian shoes and boots. High quality. Probably not warm enough for cold weather. Thought footbed would have a little more cushioning but overall are comfortable. Good for smaller calves.

This was the year to own this boot! I have worn them just about every day since November. Worth every penny. They are completely impervious to the snow. They look acceptable for work and going out. Not only that -- they're incredibly comfortable for wearing all day. The salt stains wipe off, with a damp cloth. Great with skirts, dresses and jeans. The only time they fail is when trying to navigate a slush-lake at the curb -- which didn't surprise me. There will be some leakage along the zipper. After daily wear, the heel is wearing away along the bottom (as is typical with most shoes), I would take it to get it repaired but I don't know if I can do without them for a day or so. They will definitely carry over into next year. Brilliant.

I bought the La Canadiene boots to replace a pair of designer boots that were my favorite boots of all time. The La Canadiene's are now my new favorite. The first time I put them on they fit comfortably and I was able to wear them all day. I wear a 7 1/2 medium width with an average calf. I do have a really high arch They are a perfect fit for me except the arch could be higher for me. With all the snow, I've worn them constantly for the last month. They remain comfortable to wear all day and they still look brand new even though I'm always walking in snow and slush. The only thing that might improve them for my use would be to have more tread in the rubber soles. They do grip but it could be a little better. The next pair of boots I buy will be another pair of La Canadiene's!

Beautiful boot! I've wanted a pair of La Canadiennes for a long time and wish I had more cold-weather excuses to wear them. I think they're only going to be moderately comfortable though, because of minimal arch support. I'll try an insert, as other reviewers have done.

Stylish, comfortable, so far waterproof, and a totally great investment given I live in area with long winters. I have thin calves and the shaft is wide enough to accommodate jeans but not give that "I'm standing in two buckets" look. I got the suede because to me it looked more modern than flat leather. I love these boots and highly recommend them.

Great boot! Very elegant as well as comfortable. At first, I thought that these might be too tight in the calf for me (my calves are 14.5" around, the same as the boot circumference). But after wearing these around the house for a short time, the calf stretched just enough to be comfortable but not so much as to become too loose. The shaft height is also perfect for me. I'm 5'2", and the boot comes to an inch or so below my knee.

I love these boots! I ordered them because I was going on a trip to Europe and needed a waterproof comfortable pair of boots for entire days of walking in the rain. 3 days before my trip, I ordered my regular 8M (or 8B) size. When they arrived, I learned that this brand ran narrow so the 8B were tight. I immediately ordered the 8 Wide, and luckily they arrived the next day and fit really well. I wore them every single day during the trip. Although it only rained one day, they were perfect the whole time! Thank you Zappos for your expedited shipment!

Love these boots! I wear size 9. I don't like a narrow toe box and I have skinny calves. Started with this boot in a wide - too big. Then a black leather pair - a beautiful boot but seemed a little too formal for the look I wanted so then tried the black suede - just too black. Settled on the brown suede size 9 regular width. No time needed to break them in, just put them on and go. These look great with everything, are comfortable and the suede is luscious. The most I have ever paid for boots but so glad I did.

This boot is beyond awesome! Like many other reviewers, I didn't want to like it because of the cost, but could not bear to take them off once I put them on. I have two other pairs of La Canadienne boots and they have lasted for many years with only having to replace the heels once. They are stylish, comfortable and functional. Best of all the traction gives me tons of security on icy walks and steps.

Great classic boot. Fits true to size. Very comfortable and appears well made. Waterproof if your going to be in rain or snow. I did return because the color just wasn't what I was looking for this time; it was very dark (almost black) brown and I was hoping for something more chocolate. Might get them in another color!

These boots are fashionable and of high quality. This is the second pair of these boots that I have purchased. They look and feel great. The fit is true to size and are comfortable from the start. I love them!

Love these boots. I have had a pair for about 4 years now that I have gotten a lot of wear out of and they still look great and I still get compliments on them. They are also very comfortable.

This boot seems true to size; I ordered it in a wide due to bunions, but the heel was still a good fit (I have narrow heel). I'm happy to have found such a rare combination, in such a stylish and well-made boot. Love the cut at the mouth of the boot as it curves slightly upward on the outside of the leg.
