Innovative - The shoe looks great and truly is challenging even for a highly active person. The sole of the shoe has almost a 'bounce' maybe because it's so thick? And the arch support is minimal so if you require this be prepared to 'sink' a little inward. I don't plan to wear these everyday or anything so this was not a deal breaker for me. Keeps you on your toes! If you have any feet sensitivity - this is not for you.

New fit on the MBT sport shoes. I love these shoes so much that I now can't exercise in anything else. This is my third pair. I was disappointed that they'd changed the sizing, since the heel is a bit loose. If you buy these be prepared to do some serious breaking in before they become comfortable. But also be prepared not to have to do sit-ups ever again.

High hopes for the Sport High... I have been walking and working in 2 other styles of MBT shoes and wanted to try the next step, so to speak. This style is not as "cushy" as the Sport Gray, or the professional slingback slip-ons that aren't made anymore. The firmness of the sole is hard on my arch, and I find my feet burning a little at the end of the day. I think they will take some getting used to, but I plan to keep them.

Great for Exercise - Good workout, but order true to size - I ordered a 1/2 size larger and have problems with my heel slipping.

MBT sport high - Bought these a few weeks ago, and am glad I went ahead with the 2", as I didn't find them difficult to get used to. My only problem with them is that they arrived with a terrible moldy, musty odor to them, and I haven't been able to get rid of it. Must have been in the warehouse for quite a while. (It’s so bad I have to leave them outside!) The Sport High could definitely use a little snazzier look, but I purchased them for their workout benefit. Still too soon to tell, but overall I like them.

The Funky MBT - It might look a little funky but it does a world of good. Expect the balls of your feet to hurt a little after a break in period of about two days. After that... you are good to go. You might feel like you are walking a bit funny but that too becomes normal. Careful on stairs the first few times until you get used to them. I walk ALOT for a living and these shoes are more comfortable than you might imagine! And in the end... they are supposed to make your legs and butt look good. I'll keep you posted on that. :)

MBT High Sport - This is a good shoe and it definitely does improve your posture. The height of the shoe does take a little getting use to, and if you use them to exercise, you have to watch your form. If you run in them, you have to adjust your stride in order to keep your form and balance. The right shoe does seem to be a little narrower than the left, and it did cause me to develop a blister on my pinky toe. I continued to use wear them because of the amount of money I had invested in the shoes. I've had them for three weeks now and the toe issue has improved. You do get a better workout and if you can over come the toe issue they are quite comfortable. I have noticed that my abs and legs are firmer!!

Right foot problem - I am trying to be happy with the MBT but unfortunately the right foot is perfect and the left is feeling tight on the outer right side, where the foot widens above the toes. I keep wearing them for part of the day hoping it will improve, but it remains a problem, so far. The right MBT seems to be narrower thean the left.

Good for walkers - I do aerobics 3 times per week, so I got the higher heeled version hoping to continue my workout while walking the dog. I do see a very slight difference in muscle tone, but it is certainly not worth the price. If walking is your only form of exercise, I think these shoes would be worth it.

Will these really make my legs look better - I am a physician and I bought these shoes because a fellow physician said they made her butt look better and cellulite fade. Well, there's a lot of work to do there and that takes time... I wore the shoes around the house for a few hours each evening for a week before wearing them for my full work day (12 hours). I find them extremely comfortable and surprisingly do not have any trouble balancing in them. My legs were not terribly sore, but I can tell I am working some of my stability muscles some. Also I have some back and soreness because these shoes force good posture, which I am bad about. I am a runner with IT band syndrome and I do feel a little strain in my IT bands at the end of the day when wearing these shoes. I am not running in them at all. Just walking. One problem - the warning inside the shoe instructions says not to get the MBT sensor (a component of the sole) wet. This is impossible for someone living on the East Coast in winter and spring. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and hope the promises for my bottom work out well.

MBT Sport High - I've tried out the MBT sandals, which I wore all summer and liked a lot because they were really comfortable, but they didn't do much for me. I decided to try out this version because I was hoping to see some difference in my legs. You do have to be careful not to roll inwards when you walk. Unfortunately, these caused blisters on both my heels and I had to wear lots of band aids to keep it from happening again. Also, my pinky toe felt a bit numb when I wore them all day. I was a little sore (thighs) when I first tried them out, but still have yet to see a difference after a couple of months. I will probably try to wear them during workouts to see if that does anything.

They Help - This is my second pair of MBTs, the first was the grey MBTs which took some getting used to because of the technology built in to this type of sneaker. I recently purchased the MBT Sport High. I very much enjoy it and at the same time I would caution potential new purchasers that this takes even more getting used to because of the height displacement. However, once you get used to it (and if money isn't an issue), you will benefit from the comfort and the orthopedically designed technology.

First start with the lower MBTs, then graduate, if at all.

Good walking shoe. I bought this after seeing it advertised in several catalogs touting its effects on those hard to tone places on your body. Sounded good to me. The shoe fits fine and does the job of serving as a walking workout shoe, but it might just be that the hype and hope of its effects are making me walk more actively and frequently to achieve those effects. Whatever the reason, if you have the extra dough to spend on a walking shoe, go for it.

Definitely worth a try - I am still getting used to these shoes. I feel that they can be helpful in reducing foot problems. I have pain in my right metatarsal from polio and pain in my left heal from plantar fasciitis. These pains are greatly reduced when wearing these shoes. But, the shoes put me on a platform that takes getting used to.

Moderate benefits - As a runner, I wanted to try these to get more of a muscular workout and hopefully lessen knee and lower back discomfort. Before you start to use them, you view a DVD on proper "technique," which is helpful and should be done. I did not find any of the soreness or issues, perhaps because I already run. They do seem to add some additional calorie burning and toning to a walk. And they do assist in reducing lower back and knee pain and improve your posture if you use them as directed. It's like skating, once you get the gait and technique, you've got it down. As for construction, they are decently made, but I suspect one is paying an extra hundred bucks or so because this is a groovy, "cutting edge" shoe with a new gimmick. Even if it is a gimmick with some advantages.

Beauty is in the eye of the wearer. I have been wearing the Sport High for about six months now, and I LOVE them. Yes, they are big and ugly, but they have almost eliminated my lower back pain. (And considering that I was told I needed spinal surgery, that's pretty impressive!) They have also toned up muscles I didn't know I had! My one gripe is that, as one other reviewer commented, the fabric inside the heel has worn through already, which is unacceptable for a shoe this expensive.

Uncomfortable at first - It took me about 2 weeks to 'break in' the shoe as it had an uncomfortable pressure point on my right lower instep. The shoe felt very stiff. I almost returned it because it felt like it was a manufacturing defect. The effect of the shoe however, I think, is dependable: I experience less back soreness after long periods of standing. Now my legs are tired instead...

Hmmm... Pros: Interesting to walk in once you find your balance (there is a learning curve), and yes, you do work harder to walk in them. They can begin to seem extremely comfortable and they roll nicely when you walk. Cons: Extremely expensive. No, they don't 'reduce cellulite' significantly. Weight loss and toning does. You must train to use these; once, I injured a tendon in spite of training, and I'm not an overpronator. Also, the fabric inside at the heel wore out VERY quickly and began to hurt.

It is way too narrow for me. I am bummed since MBT does not make a wide. In fact, their web site recommended people with wide feet buy a unisex style like this one. So I guess I have no other options and can't have the MBT experience! Also, my feet aren't super wide. I can get away with a normal a lot of the time. Only sometimes I need a W. So this says to me that these shoes run narrow.

NOT HELPING WITH HEEL PAIN - I'm a nurse and on my feet most of my 8 hr. shift. I had a Morton’s neuroma removed last Feb. from my right foot and subsequently developed a plantar fasciitis in my left heel. The MBTs seem to take the pressure off the ball of my feet, so that helps with the neuroma discomfort (which is still there after surgery!) However, it hasn't helped my heel pain at all and in fact seems to aggravate it! My podiatrist told me to try these. They aren't worth the price~ I don't know what to do now!

A little pricey - Although these shoes do work different muscles in your legs and feet, they are a little pricey for the benefit. I found the materials to be a little cheap; similar to an off-brand shoe in a retail store. The engineering of the shoe does work and you will feel it especially in a gym cardio workout. For me, the shoes fit except in the back heel where they rub a little.

Great shoes - bad fit - I love these shoes, you can really feel them working your leg muscles however I can only wear them for short periods of time. If I wear them even for a stroll around town I get huge blisters on the back of my heels. Unfortunately I didn't realize this until I wore them outside and now I can't return them. Considering they are the most expensive shoes I have ever purchased I am very disappointed and cheated.

Review of MBT Sport High - Since I am a personal trainer, I wore these shoes while working out with my clientele. I was saddened to hear that my clients called my shoes "old lady shoes". Additionally, I will say that I may have started with a TOO ELEVATED shoe, versus the lower version. However, I believe I am not allowed to move toward the lower version of this shoe, without incurring a high cost for another purchase. My recommendation is to start with the lower version of this shoe, especially for day to day wear, and move to the higher version if one is looking for increased intensity.

Hoping to Wear - I'm still hoping to be able to wear this shoe regularly so that I can reap its purported benefits...however, the left shoe blistered my heel so badly I haven't been able to wear it since my first 2-mile walk a couple of weeks ago. I also experienced extreme stiffness and tightness in the toe box, and I do not have a wide foot. My toes actually felt numb inside the shoe, they were squeezed so tightly. It seems to me that for the price, this shoe should be better designed with regard to FIT, and should utilize higher quality (more supple) materials. I'm still hoping to love this shoe, but so far it's been a painful experience. I will say that the cushy, bouncy "walking on sponges" experience was fun while it lasted!

My MBT sandals were great--no, excellent, but I also ordered two pairs of the Sport High (expensive), and I am extremely disappointed, because I found upon walking and running in them, they were much too large and rub on my heels. Now, I've used them and can't return them! Horrified that I made such a waste of my money, I've tried heel inserts, thicker socks, etc., and nothing works to stop the rubbing. --LUMP-IN-MY-THROAT
