An excellent shoe for damaged knees -
This is an excellent shoe to wear part time if you have osteoarthritis in the knees or knee. It forces you to walk differently and to use different muscles, which has a beneficial health effect overall.

MBT High-
I love all MBT’s... I was a little sore when I first wore my high MBT’s…soon I got used to them and will always wear them. I get a half size bigger, but it may be that my foot is a little wide with a high instep. Try them, you will love them. I got my 28 year old daughter a pair of the lower and that is all she wears…for her birthday I’m getting her a the higher ones...she’ll love them.

From a skeptic: these are very good -
MBT Sport High fits differently from other MBT’s—and it’s a fit that really works for me. Each make fits a bit differently: this shoe is a true size 42--few other MBT’s come in this in-between size (most are either 41 2/3 to 42 1/3). The Sport High has a roomy toe box (unlike the fire or flame models), and the ankle rise is lower than on all other makes I have tried (I have tried five other distinct styles--thanks Zappos for making this possible!). On other MBT’s, the ankle rise came up too far. On the Sport Low, a hard plastic band that encircles back half of the shoe right at the ankle rise makes it unlikely that it can be broken in in this area. The unisex casual styles were too wide for my feet (regular width), so the toe box was too roomy, which can't be addressed just by tightening the laces over the rest of the foot. The Sport High shoes are also materially softer, so they give more and can be tightened more strategically; they are dynamite looking, extremely comfortable (I lecture on my feet all day, and walk across campus from class to class); and they have helped my knees and do not trigger the nerve flash I get on the bottom of my feet in most other shoes. Very cushiony. Watch the video: it will help you learn to walk properly in these, which does positively impact posture. They seem worth the investment.

Extra Workout Boost -
These sneakers feel great. My legs felt the extra workout the next day. My only issue would be that since my feet have a slight natural turnout, these sneakers tend to make the feet roll into the inner arch. I have to really work at keeping my step from rolling in. The size, although stated, "Has a snug fit so go larger;" the fit is true to size.
Overall, this is a great product for giving your legs, rear, and even abs an extra workout boost.

Great fit and helped my husband's feet!
These were for my husband, who started to develop heel pain. Both his parents suggested MBT. These shoes have helped alleviate his pain within days. He loves these shoes and also got a pair of the MBT Milano. These are expensive, but well worth the price since they have helped his feet get better and the pain has gone away.

This shoe is not attractive but is still great. The first time I wore them I felt my rear and the backs of my thighs being worked...just by walking! The next day my calves were sore; as if I had worked them out! These give me the "workout" I need.
I ordered the high version before using the lower version and I'm glad I did. I've had no problems walking in them at all.

The truth...
The do run a little big (not too much though). They are firm/rigid and high (my ankle bone was also sore for a while). They do take some getting used to. I went all the way- getting these and wearing them to work straight for 6 days and they broke in and are way comfy now. They did chafe my ankle and had some pinky toe pinch action (a little narrow) but they've stretched out. My posture is better and after 3 weeks the aesthetic improvement is undeniable. Inches from my thighs? No, but more toned, smaller, blah blah blah. I'm an NYC walker/food industry native. My posture sucks. I work standing and running around 9-12 hours a day. What they say about these shoes does seem to be true though. I also was a fan of the funky platform sneakers of the late 90's and these bring a certain nostalgia with the height and all...

Like walking on a CLOUD!
This is my 1st pair of this type of shoe. What lured me to them was the claim that 'your body thinks it is getting a workout- even just in daily walking'. Plus- their website has all kinds of data of 'increased muscularity in unused parts of your body while in the shoe' and 'toning your core'. When I wore them for the 1st day - I felt very wobbly and unstable (which I think is what this shoe is supposed to make you feel like). The video that comes with the shoes says 'initial lower back discomfort is a sign you are walking in them correctly'. I did have that, but it disappeared after one day, and I didn't mind since it validated I was using them correctly. Each day I wear them it seems they are becoming easier to walk in. I do love how it makes you feel like walking on sand!! Very bouncy, adds an airy feeling to walking. If you have the money-try them. I would call it a walking 'experience' when walking in them. Downhill walking is weird and so unstable at this point but I think as time goes on, I will build strength needed to walk downhill w/o feeling like I am going to fall. Uphill, no problem.
I love the look - I always wear funky shoes so this is no different for me. At present I walk on a treadmill at inclines of up to 12%. I haven't used my MBT's on the treadmill because nowhere in the literature does it say they can be used while walking on steep inclines for 30-40mins straight.
Overall- I love them because they make walking on flat ground feel different and invigorating. :)

Miracle shoe -
This shoe really gives you a workout! If worn for longer periods of time, it feels like you've been waterskiing. The only drawback, for me, is that the shoe is high and hits my ankle bone a bit. That makes it difficult for me to wear them for more than about 4 hours at a time. I would highly recommend these shoes for women who do alot of walking as their main for of exercise.

People with joint problems beware.
I think this is a very specialized shoe and that should be stressed. After trying them on, I realized almost immediately that if one has joint problems (hip replacement/knee replacement) one will need to be very cautious and absolutely has to receive formal training if walking around using this shoe. I have been involved in physical fitness most part of my life. Yes the shoe is absolutely comfortable, but I am going through the probability of hip replacement in the next year and I am not willing to experiment with a whole new way of walking and using all of your muscles differently. People with any particular joint or other problems absolutely need to consider a specialist with this shoe, which by the way, the MBT website did not appear to have anyone in my area. Just be careful and really try them for a while around your house to make sure that the lower back does not flair up or your existing joint problems.

Amazing Shoe! Amazing Service!
The shoe itself is amazing! Everything you've read about it is true...it really works your muscles. As for Zappos' service, I am baffled. I ordered the shoes online at 7:30pm one night, and the very next day the shoes were at my door. How'd they do that??? Even Santa doesn't work that fast! THANK YOU!!! :-)

Great shoe.
This is my third pair of MBT's. I have another high pair and one regular. The reason I gave these shoes a 3 in comfort is because the heel area of the shoe is quite stiff and does not conform to my foot. I need to wear thick socks to prevent blisters. Other than that, the shoe is great!

Best Shoe Ever -
I thought the band around the top of the shoe was a tad restraining at first, but after only one day wearing the shoe it felt great. My knees did not hurt, nor did my arches, and my back stood straighter all by themselves. I can't wait to buy more colors and styles!!

These shoes are the BEST!
These shoes are amazing! They take a little getting used to (not much), but they take so much pressure off of my lower back that I can be on my feet all day without my back (or knees) hurting! I highly recommend these shoes (or the sport low style) for anyone with back or knee problems! Do follow the fit guide... you want your toes starting out real close to the front of the shoes, as the walking/rocking motion moves your foot a bit and the shoe actually stretches slightly and conforms to your foot. I normally wear a 6.5, (euro size 36-1/3 for the sport low shoes)but the 6 (euro size 36)is a perfect fit!
I have both the sport high and low... definitely prefer the sport high (but then I'm short as it is!).

Great on my joints -
I was skeptical about this shoe, sounded like hype to me but when I tried it I was thrilled. I have joint disease and have not been able to powerwalk or jog without pain in my legs, after my first half hour on the treadmill I couldn't believe how good my legs felt, and even the next day! I can't vouch for any beauty benefits as I haven't been able to wear them much yet due to an injury, (from playing on a tennis court in my tennis sneakers...) but I am sure these will help once I am allowed to start up again. I am quite pleased with this sneaker.

Lived up to expectations -
I am a nurse practitioner/nurse educator. I am on my feet most of the day and I find my feet and legs feel less tired at the end of the day when I wear these shoes. I have not worn these to clinical when I take my 10 students, but I am anxious to find out my feet, legs and back fare under those conditions. I anticipate they will feel better. I have to be careful not to let the sole catch on carpet and twist my foot/ankle sometimes, but other than that the shoe is great. I feel a difference in my core body.

Great workout shoes -
I love these shoes! Very comfortable. You can feel a work out in your legs. I bought the leather professional clogs off another web site first. I work as a nurse and they are the most comfortable shoes. I used to wear Dansko. I wanted to try these for running on the treadmill. They are great! Only downfall is they do slip in one of my heels, but I added so heel padding and not a problem anymore. I would definitely recommend! Zappos service is great as well.

The best shoe I have ever worn -
They are bar none the best.
I am not an overweight person and I exercise regularly, however, there was that area on my back hip that just wouldn't go away! Well, I am not kidding, I have had my shoes for 4 months, and without changing anything except my shoes, I no longer have that area on the back hip.
I have more energy, and for longer!
I am forever thinking I will have these shoes!!
They have changed my life - You talk about getting the biggest bang for your dollar-
They are worth every penny!
Thank you MBT!!!

MBT sport high -
This is my second pair of MBTs. The first pair I had were the Athletic ones, which I barely noticed, except when trying to stand still. These are more challenging and make it more difficult to not walk though the full range of motion. They're also more challenging when trying to stand still. I don't want to make them sound too challenging, however. I would recommend these to anyone who thought the original athletic version were way too easy. I just wished they came in some sort of water resistant upper.

MBT Shoes great for back pain suffers -
MBT Shoes are the best ever. They are pricey. I have back problems and fibromyalgia. These shoes keep my back stable and in alignment. My posture is much improved. With regard to my fibromyalgia, these shoes have helped the muscles in my hips and legs. No more muscle pain. An excellent shoe. I have 3 pairs of shoes and 1 pair of their sandals.

MBTs are GRRRReat!
My girlfriend had the 1.5" so I "had" to have the 2" and I wear them all the time. No problems of any kind, though my girlfriend says she has some uncomfortableness after a day's walk. She hasn't lost or toned, but since she doesn't work out much and I do, I feel these were a good investment. Too early to tell. They are just interesting to walk in!

Post ankle surgery x2 -
I have noticed that some rocker in a shoe really helped my bad ankle, then after having my 2nd ankle fusion I tried these shoes. They do feel weird to walk in...I kind of bounce if I walk fast. But I am able to put in 12 hour shifts at work (hospital). The rocker 99% eliminates any ankle discomfort and visible limping. And my thighs and butt are definitely firmer. I have the grey color and have had people say they look "cool"...go figure I live in San Francisco. Been wearing these shoes for well over a year and am looking for another for variety. I give them 10 toes up!

These shoes take some getting used to...
I haven't been able to wear these shoes for more than an hour at a time as my feet get tingly, though I have noticed increased firmness in my thighs just from walking in them. I'm also very conscious of not letting my ankles bulge inwards as these shoes do feel different to walk in and my feet have been a bit wobbly at first. I'm getting more used to them, though. I've walked on natural terrain and on my treadmill; they are more comfortable to use on the treadmill.
