Really comfortable - I have been wearing my shoes for several days now and while they are about as comfortable as they get, I'm not thrilled with the look at all. I was told to wear them sparingly the first week or so to avoid strain in areas that haven't been exercised before but I have to admit, I haven't really felt anything at all except comfort. It's the first shoe I have been able to wear for any length of time that doesn't hurt. The only other shoes that feel remotely close are Birkenstocks and they aren't attractive either. I'm a professional woman who wears heals and stylish shoes as the norm, but I'm excited about a shoe that takes pressure off of the ball of my foot which causes me so much pain otherwise. So far so good. Hopefully I will get some other benefits as well.

Too soon to tell about MBT - Following a herniated disc, I did physical therapy, which helped a great deal. Now I'm doing Pilates and trying out a pair of MBT’s for added spinal alignment. So far I can't tell if they make a difference beyond the PT and Pilates. They do work some underused muscles, so that can't be bad. Time will tell. I'm going to try a pair of Earth shoes for comparison.

Not bad, but pretty expensive - I’m not sure I feel the effects of the shoe. They are decently comfortable to walk around in, though pretty heavy.

Great for people with normal feet - When I first got these shoes, I loved them and was wanting to buy three more pairs. I'm glad I held off on that because the foot pain that I had before I got the shoe did not improve and maybe got a little worse. I tend to overpronate, and these shoes did nothing to prevent that. I am in the process of buying some custom arch supports that are supposedly okay to wear with these shoes, so I am hoping that that will help. I really do like the way these shoes feel when you're walking other that that. I just wish they made more shoe designs for people who don't have normal feet.

MBT Grey - So far So good. Definitely follow the instructions on time of wear. Hurt the balls of my feet at first but better now. Like the grey - blends well w/ most clothing. I will keep wearing!

I've had a lot of foot pain, plus a sprain early in January. I've also punished my feet with cute shoes, and I'm paying the price now! Anyway, when my beloved New Balance trainers stopped providing the comfort I needed, I ordered three pairs of shoes from Zappos: a NB walker, Mephisto trainer and the MBT Sport Low (grey). I kept only the MBT's--the others couldn't come close to the comfort. Fit: true to size, and even though they don't come in widths, roomy toe box. Lacing is minimal which limits fitting to an individual foot--they seem to loosen, too, as you wear them throughout the day. Look: they look goofy with anything but "active wear" but I'm ready to sacrifice looks for pain-free walking. I even contacted the maker with suggestions to make the shoe a bit more versatile.

Let's Hope They Work! They are comfortable and definitely work different muscle sets while running with them. At this point I have not used them enough to fully know whether they tone your legs more, but they seem to be doing a good job hitting different muscles than I normally use. They are not attractive but they are purposeful.

After reading previous reviews, I ordered this shoe a 1/2 size larger than normal and it fits perfect. It slips a little in the heel but I just put on thicker socks. I wish I would have gotten high style though. I don't feel a tremendous difference in my legs when I wear these on the treadmill. Actually, no soreness at all. Overall I would recommend shoe for possible extra leg muscle work but they are too ugly to wear to the gym!

MBT a Good Shoe - I ordered two pairs, one offered a 40 1/3 and the other only a 40 or 41. Kept the first pair b/c it had a much better fit. Took these to Norway for a lot of walking. Although my heel hurt (small blister) at first, everything else was great. Much less back pain then normal. Really have to work at walking heel to toe to get the benefits. I will definitely buy these again.

Great Work Out ! I was skeptical about a shoe that would give you a workout while doing everyday activities, but it is true. I took a chance and I am thrilled with the results. I can feel my legs and butt muscles tightening up. I stand taller with proper posture while I’m wearing the shoes. I can feel my stomach muscles and sides tightening up. I've never found anything that actually worked my upper hip but I can feel the muscles working when I wear these shoes. My children say they look like moon shoes. The white shoe looks more like a regular tennis shoe and I think it looks better than the black one. I wish they weren't so ugly, nonetheless, I think they are worth the money.

MBTs Are Something Else! I bought a pair of these shoes in gray about a month ago, and so far I love them. I have worn them walking on the treadmill at the gym and once walking outdoors on asphalt, and they are very comfortable. I can definitely tell that my posture is better while I'm wearing them, and they are pleasingly bouncy. Because the shoes are very heavy, running may prove to be a challenge, but I'll give it a try. As usual, delivery was quick and flawless. I've never had a bad experience from Zappos!

I love my MBTs - It took a couple of times around the block, but once I got the rhythm I loved them. I find I am using different muscles in walking, but most helpful for me is that I am bending at the knees on each step, and it helps my sore hips immensely.

Shoe helps my back - I had some friends rave about these shoes which made me curious enough to try them, despite the high price. They are a little clunk-y looking and heavy but I have worn them on several long shopping trips and have found them to be very comfortable. Usually after a short time walking around, my feet and back start hurting but wearing these shoes does seem to help with that. Would have rated the shoe 5 stars overall except the price is so high.

Cool! I thought at first that I would "feel it more", but I didn't. Then I had my second and third day in the shoes. I totally felt the movement and my legs working. I wear a size 8 and ordered an 8, they work great. I think people who complain about the size didn't look at the DVD (which Zappos DID send). If you look at the DVD and pay attention to the directions, the shoes are fantastic. I just wish they didn't look quite so janky. I can tell they are orthopaedic shoes.

Just got mine... I'm still trying to get used to these. My heel slipped terribly at first, but when I went to the MBT website, it showed that you should rest your foot on the heel when tying them, rather than sliding your foot forward. When I did this, I was able to tie them tighter, and my heel does not slip. We'll see if I keep them... I'll wear them around the carpet at work.

White MBT sneaker - I was hoping this sneaker would give me a little more of a workout when I walk my dog or go out with my toddler, since I don't feel I have a lot of time to workout in general. I did feel I got a little more of a workout, but not much. I think the white sneaker looks ok, but my husband says it looks a bit funny when I am standing around because my toes seem to point up. I notice that although I've only had the sneakers a couple of weeks, that there are horizontal creases in the cushy part of the shoe sole under the heel. I am going to watch to make sure it doesn't deteriorate. I did watch the DVD. So, I think I am walking in them correctly. They are kind of fun to wear, but I doubt I would buy them again since I don't really feel like they are adding that much to what I do in terms of getting a workout.

Burn, Baby, Burn!!! These shoes kick butt! Although not attractive, they definitely work your muscles. Walking in them does not feel like walking in sand, but you can feel the burn in your shins/hamstrings/butt like you would if you walked in the sand or any other soft surface. I think that they run small. I had to order a half size up. My heels slip with each step but maybe that is common with the Sport Low model. I don't have any blisters on my heel and the half size smaller shoe was way too small. I have plantar fasciitis and overpronate on my right foot; so far, I have had no problems.

Not your usual tennis shoe - I have had a slight problem finding the right fit with this shoe. I ordered a half size larger because of reading other reviews but found them to be too large. Then I ordered my usual tennis shoe size and still felt the heel slip a little so I ordered a half size smaller but the toe area felt too snug so I am going with my usual size and will just wear thicker socks. They have a very generous toe area. I found it easy to adjust to this shoe and I enjoy wearing them. I do feel that they make me stand straighter but I haven’t had them long enough to see if they make a difference with my knee problems or other benefits.

They are ugly but worth it... I got these in gray b/c they seem the least conspicuous...friends have white and black and the ugly factor is more noticeable. So why pay a fortune for ugly shoes? They really up your work-out. You walk a couple of miles in these and your legs will really feel it. The shape forces your muscles to do more of the work and takes the pressure off your joints (why physical therapists want people to re-hab on sand). I double tie them so the laces stay tied. Run a bit small. Wear them around your house the first day or so...watch the DVD that comes with them.

Ugly but comfortable - I just got these shoes and they are really pretty hideous. I am at work wearing them right now and I feel people have made comments like "Hmmm, those are interesting shoes." They ARE extremely comfortable, though, hopefully, they will do something for my posture and for the tone of my legs!! BTW, I usually wear an 8, and I got these in a 9 and they are perfect size-wise.

Beyond the normal, "it gets the job done", I was very pleased with the quality of this shoe. Shoe looks almost new and I've been wearing them everyday for the past week. I know that it's expensive for a pair of shoes, but so far it's worth it. The only downside is I'm still not sure if I'm walking correctly in the shoes.

Still trying to get used to these shoes. They are very heavy to wear but my legs do feel like they get a workout. Can't imagine wearing them all day though. I can't wait to take them off after my walk.

I thoroughly enjoy my shoes. Would they get rid of cellulite? Tone one's legs? That is hard to say - I do feel like I get a workout because they are so darn heavy. If one does not already exercise, expect great results. If you do, don't expect miracles. In addition, I was also concerned about purchasing these shoes because I have anterior knee pain (chondromalacia). I have NOT experienced an increase in pain due to wearing the shoes.

MBT Sport Low - These shoes give your legs a real workout! I received them and put them on and walked around the house and found them to be very comfortable. I am a walker and found that these shoes increase my heart rate faster than regular walking/running shoes. They take a bit of time to get used to, as the feel is different from a normal shoe; however, once you get the hang of them, they feel great.

Fit was way too big and sloppy feeling, I love the service and convenience of Zappos but with this shoe for this price I need to go to a store and be fitted. I’m on my feet for up to 10 hours at a time as a nurse and can always count on New Balance for comfort and support.
