Great shoes - I really enjoy walking in these shoes as they are constantly giving me a workout. My legs are often so tired after a day's wear, which is great! The look leaves a lot to be desired, but if you wear long pants, you can hide most of the bulk.

First time buyer - I love it! I have three herniated disks, two bone spurs and a stress fracture. This shoe really seems to be helping! I got tired at first and a little sore in weird places, but after a week I was fine.

Excellent comfort! Truly helps alleviate back, knee and leg pain. Not crazy about the look being that I size bigger than a 9 -- not very attractive, but great comfort!

Great Shoe - I love this shoe as much as the MBT Walkers I purchased in January. They seem a little roomier than the walkers so I didn't even have to "break them in". I buy MBTs for the wonderful cushioning they give my spine. I feel like I'm floating when I walk, exercise, etc. My legs were never sore, even after my first pair so I'm not so sure about "getting a fantastic workout just by walking" but everything else about MBTs is wonderful.

So far, so good - First, these shoes definitely run a 1/2 size small. I have been a 9 my entire adult life, and I wear a 9.5 in these (thanks, Zappos, for your tremendous returns policy and free shipping!). I bought them for my morning and evening commute and for my walking workouts. So far, so good. I didn't need much time to adjust to them. In fact, the first full day I had them, I wore them all day, walking at a good clip around New York City for several hours. They are different from "normal" shoes; however; your foot doesn't bend in them--it sort of "rides" in them. And I did feel some muscles working in my calves, primarily. My husband noticed that I was standing straighter. I'll be interested to see if I notice any long-term benefits. One other thing: some of the other models are narrower than this one. I have a B width, and I had to buy these--the others, although a bit sleeker in style, were too snug on my foot. Just an FYI.

Excellent investment - I have had these shoes for 2.5 years and wear them every day all day (work from home). It has relieved me of my back pain and leg pain. They are worth every penny. Everyone with back or leg problems, varicose veins or on their feet all day should own a pair. I normally wear a 7.5 but had to purchase a 6 since they run big. They are perfect.

I LOVE THESE SHOES! I had to stop walking as a form of exercise due to knee, ankle and back issues. When I wear my M.B.T.'s I can walk 3 1/2 miles or more with no problem whatsoever. They are amazing! It's like a miracle! Best of all, no doctors! I feel like they're adding years onto my life. They are definitely worth every penny. I really think they have made my rear end smaller.

The best walking companion - Great shoe! This is my second pair- the first I got two years ago from Bliss. I noticed the difference in my lower body muscles within first week of use. I walk daily for 1 hour and never before had such results. You have to watch the DVD first on the proper use.

MBT Low Sport Shoe - I am very impressed with the 1 and 1/2" sport shoe. It is very comfortable, compared to shoes I have purchased previously. It has enabled me to improve my posture, and have fewer back aches. I can tell already that this is a lasting shoe that is extremely well built. I love the rock n' roll motion that is experienced when walking in them. A most important feature for me, is the practice of better balance, and at 63, this is important to all aging people. Great shoe for metatarsal problem - I have been battling metatarsal stress fractures for 9 months. Since purchasing these shoes, I have not had the pain I was experiencing previously. My orthopedic doctor was impressed with the shoe, especially for the rocker sole. I tried New Balance rocker soles, but they still gave way at the metatarsals. These shoes are great for improving your posture too. I am on my feet 12 hours a day and feel like I'm standing in a more upright position. The price is high for these shoes, but it's better than spending more in doctors visits.

A great shoe when working on your feet - I work the front desk at a major gym and then work out afterwards. My MBT's keep my posture great while standing and reduce lower back pain. I enjoy these shoes as walking shoes also wherever I go.

Pilates on your feet - I have had these shoes for almost 2 years and they continue to amaze me. I have gone down 4 sizes all because of MBT - I have my 'runner's legs' back without the running! You have to take it slow at first - I had the training DVD for show...but it is worth it while you work on your balance. Great for those with low back pain or car accident injuries. I can always count on them to help me feel better even while walking! ENJOY!!!! They are Pilates on your feet!

It’s all they say it is - I’m not the sort of person who listens to hype, commercials or glowing attributes of products. But, I saw this shoe in a mall I tried it on. It felt unusual; this was a strange sensation on my feet. I decided to wait before buying because it is a pricey sneaker. Well, I bought the shoe from Zappos.com. I watched the enclosed DVD; I read all the literature that came with it. Then I tested it my way; went grocery shopping (my feet didn't hurt!), went to the mall to do myriad errands (spent 5 hours walking and shopping there didn't even have to sit down once!). These shoes are fantastic-I have a bad back because of arthritis and bad feet because of arthritis, heel spurs and bunions-and now I can walk again without pain from those parts of my body that prevented from enjoying a simple walk even around the block!! My friends can't believe I’m the same person who used to say "could you walk a little slower, I can't keep up with you" now they're saying that to me! I’m getting a pair of MBT sandals for the summer. They may not look chic but these are the most comfortable sport shoes I have ever.

Hopeful - The first time I saw MBT shoes I thought they were a corrective shoe. I guess they really are when I think about what result I was hopeful for and still am. I have foot pain - especially on the balls of my feet and am looking to relieve that, improve my posture and improve my running (jogging).

Wow - I have been trying to find a shoe that is comfortable and easy for me to wear. This shoe is interesting and I thought it might do the trick... it has been everything it purports to be... No more pain in my knee and hip joints when I walk or stand too much! It is bulky but once you get used to it, it's easy to walk in. I’ve never owned a shoe that came with its own DVD and instructions! I am enjoying this shoe very much. I got a half size larger and have put an inner sole in so it's tighter.

The most comfortable walking shoe ever! Great shoe...makes you stand up so straight and use muscles you don't remember having.

Just Unbelievable - I had my doubts, but these shoes are too good to be true. Comfort unmatched by any other product I've tried, and just having finished a treadmill work-out, no ankle pain. Wonderful!!!

Fabulous! These shoes are incredible! I could feel the difference the first time I put them on and it was amazing. The really do help your posture and help work out targeted muscle groups. After a few days of wearing the shoes, I wore a pair of flip-flops. The difference was amazing. It felt like I had been training in the gym, my legs and thighs were sore! I've had my MBT's for about three weeks now, and I can already tell a major difference in my posture, and muscle tone...just from wearing the shoes. I have not exercised in a gym in months!

Not pretty but pretty comfy... I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend this much $ on a pair of shoes but glad I did. My knee, lower back and hip pain is gone. I wear these around the house, walking the dog, running errands, trips to the park with kids, etc. I've also noticed that my fanny is a bit tighter :-). I did order 1/2 size up like other reviews said but I think my true size would have been better. I wear a pair of thick socks and they fit fine. I had no problems getting used to wearing them either, wear and go! I chose the black style because they seem a bit more innocuous than the other styles/colors, you don't really notice how "orthopedic" they look. Love 'em.

Love my MBT's - I love the way they fit and I thought they were very true to size. I was extremely sore after wearing the for a few days but I already notice a big difference in the thighs and stomach and would live in them all day long if I could get away with it at work. I'm going to buy the sandals for the summer.

Happy Feet - I broke my ankle and three metatarsals in a motorcycle accident. I have had to completely change the kind of shoes I wear. The MBT's are the most comfortable of all the shoes I now wear as they help the movement of the foot feel more fluid and less pounding. They aren't the most stylish of shoe but they do a great job in the area of comfort!

Worth the price!! I have been bothered for years with low back pain. Last fall the low back pain added to hip pain and sciatica in my left leg. Chiropractor visits weren't cutting it so I went to the MD who sent me to physical therapy. PT seemed to help, but cost $100/week (AFTER insurance!). After 7 weeks of PT, we decided it was as good as it was gonna get. Then I saw an ad for MBT's and thought "why not try?" I feel they've helped and plan to purchase the sandals as soon as I can scrape together another $240! And I'm not prone to spending this much money on shoes. These aren't just shoes...they're magic!

Not cute, but still awesome - I bought these shoes as an incentive to increase the amount of time I spend walking since we just rented a new urban apartment, and its working. These shoes are extremely comfortable and I am actually enjoying walking around to buy groceries, exploring restaurants, etc. After a long walk, I can feel it in my legs and thighs more than in my feet, and that's a good thing! I bought the black shoes and they are a little "clunky looking" but they go with just about anything except a skirt. (I guess you can't have everything!)

Ugly but Awesome! These are not shoes you buy for looks, although they look ok with long pants. I am telling you, these things work! 30 minutes on treadmill and you will feel it in your calves, inner and outer thighs, lower back, and abs. But the real surprise is how they work the back of the thighs! In just a few weeks on the treadmill I noticed a considerable difference in the size and shape of my thighs. As all women know, that is one tough area to work. Hurray! No more leg lifts!

I Just Wanna See What They're Like... I ordered these with the FULL intention of trying them on, maybe wearing them around the house for a few hours and sending them back because I was SURE they were not worth the money. Well, Zappos, your gig works because I could not send them back. They are awesome. I also ordered the Sport High, which I would have kept instead if they had the same look, but they are a bit uglier to wear other than working out. I wish I could afford the casual style right now too, and then these would be the only two pairs I would ever wear! They make you stand up straight and it feels like you are walking on air. I used to go to a foot doctor, spent $850 on orthodics...I wish I had known about these first!
