Great boot, but if you have a high in-step it is hard to get on. I've ordered the next size up and hope it works because I love it!

Beautiful boots with lots of cushion, but very tight in the arch. I do have high arches but it cut off my circulation! Wish they fit, they're lovely.

Ordered these in size 9 after some deliberation due to the price. Received the first pair the day later, the box was marked size 9, boots themselves marked size 7. Called Zappos, great customer service, received the replacement pair before even sending the 1st pair back. The 2nd pair had a severe discoloration under the buckle, like the leather strap was stuck to the boot itself during the tanning process. Called Zappos customer service again, they sent out the third pair before I sent back the 2 previous pairs and gave me a discount, I can't say enough for their customer service! Received 3rd pair (the one I kept) with only minor blemishes...silver lines under the lower strap and some scuffs in the same area. Not worth sending them back for a fourth try. Can't see the blemishes when I wear them. Very comfortable, high quality leather and stitching. Felt half size smaller than marked.

My initial impression of these boots was when I first opened the box and got a whiff of the beautiful smell of genuine leather. The quality is impressive, however I have a problem with the size. I wear a 9 1/2 and the length is good, and the width is good, but there is too much room in the heel and even with 2 pairs of socks, they slip. So back they go. Too bad.

I ordered these in sand. The color was exactly what I was looking for. However, the leather quality not so much. Very thin compared to other Fryes I own. Also, foot bed was not 1 piece of leather so that when taking boot on & off the leather pulled up. These were also not made in USA. Fit true to size & still a very nice boot - just not what I was looking for.

The ankle area was so stiff that it was difficult to put my foot in the boot and take it out. Great looking but the fit was too snug for me.

These boots are beautiful in person. My 15" calves seem to fit nicely, but skinny jeans seem out of question. Unfortunately one of the boots had a spot and was too narrow for my wide foot and arch. So I have to return these and hope that another pair will be more roomy on my feet.

I'm 5'5 and wear a size 7.5 to 8 in shoes/heels. I ordered the Stone Wash in a size 7.5 and they fit perfectly and were very easy to take on and off and not like some of my other Frye boots! And was extremely impressed with Zappos next day shipping. I'm not as impressed with the quality of the boots but they are definitely very cute (I felt like I was wearing rain boots but they don't look like rain boots! thank goodness). I love, love love the color and how unique the stone wash is. I will be keeping the shoes and wearing them as much as possible this summer! :)

I was so sad to send these back. They are very well made and nice looking, just didn't look right on me.

I'm exchanging them for the same exact boot because the strap over the top of the right foot is smooth leather (like the rest of both boots), but the strap over the left foot is bumpy grainy leather. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure they are keepers. The toe is dressier than the rest of the motorcycle style boots. On the one hand, this is kind of cool, on the other it makes me want to dress them up... but I tried them with a casual dress and skirts, and it wasn't a good look. I wear cowboy boots and my Frye Campus boots with dresses and skirts, but the Veronica Slouch were a no go for me. Leggings and skinny jeans are the way to go with my 5'5" frame. Anyway, the boots are comfortable. I'm an 8.5 with fairly wide feet and athletic calves; I bought an 8.5 and they feel great. Daniel at Zappos was super on the phone, and I'm looking forward to the replacements arriving on Tuesday!

This ain't my first rodeo! I love these boots, had to order them twice though! I'd like to ask Frye Co. what's up with the quality control? Two 7.5's fit really different. One felt larger and roomier than the other. (I usually order up 1/2 size with Frye. Not sure which boot was the true 7.5.) Also, my first pair there was a (2/16") difference in boot shaft height. Negligible? Noticeable to me. Also part of the (front) heel hit the floor before the back and felt odd. Perhaps would wear down with wear tho. Overall, obviously Frye's got the style down pat. Beautiful leather and boot style, I just wish you didn't have to buy a couple of them to get the fit right. (Had this same issue with another pair of Fryes I own.) I kept my second ordered pair (big thanks to Zappos) and with wear breaks in well and looks much less than the rubber boot that someone described. I ordered black and could see the similarity but that goes away with wear. If you have the time patience and credit, these could wind up being your favs for a good long while. Just a little frustrating!

I really, really want to love this boot! Love the rounded toe and the motorcycle styling without being too over the top. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if the slouch look is that flattering on my shorter legs (I'm 5'2") especially from behind. It's definitely necessary to wear a super skinny jean (jegging) or it looks really sloppy. If I was younger, I might rock them with shorts or a short skirt. Anyway, I've tried 4 different colors, and they all fit differently. The stone color was almost impossible to get on! Also looks like a rubber rain boot in person. The dark brown shine is much more attractive IMO. And fits better. But the one I think I am keeping is the dark brown full grain. It's even softer and more comfortable. That is, if I can get over the slouch thing being somewhat unflattering. In most Frye boots I take a 6, but in this style I had to size up to my normal boot size: 6.5. I may try the Veronica Shortie to see if I like it better but, unfortunately they don't have either of the dark browns in my size right now.

A couple years ago I ordered the black version in a 10; they go on and off easily. Today I got the Stone Stonewashed in 10 and I have to use plastic bag trick to get the darn things on! Once on, they are comfortable. I must get this style 1/2 size larger than any other of my Frye boots or mules. Am not hugely happy with the color I just got, the strap on one boot is light on the other dark, so they kinda don't look like a matching pair. I didn't notice it until I had walked in my house on non-carpeted area so I guess I am screwed as to returning. If I didn't notice right away, maybe it isn't so bad, kinda free form stone washing. Oh well. I do like this cool color overall. So now I am wearing the heck out of them to try and loosen up the arch a bit so I can get them on without blowing a gasket, LOL.

Beautiful boots, but very snug in the calf for me. Fine by themselves, but too tight to tuck in my jeans. Other than the tightness in the calf, I love them. Sad to have to return them.

Style of the boot is cute, but I didn't like the stone wash fading. They are pretty comfortable although a bit more snug than some other Frye styles. The boots made in the USA seem to fit looser. The shaft of the boot was kind of flimsy but they look fine on. I bought my true size which was right. I may try this style in another color.

This boot is quite beautiful, but taking longer to break in than anticipated; still somewhat tight on one foot. For the cost, I would have expected to be past the breaking period by the 3rd wear. Still working on it

The boot is so comfortable. True to size but a little tough to get on at first. I wouldn't have described the boot as charcoal however. I think the color is more ash if not taupe.

I love these boots. Unfortunately I didn't put any protectant on them because I didn't wear them in bad weather and I learned that if you accidentally brush the sole of one shoe against the boot it will leave a big black mark. I am super sad. They are awesome, just make sure you have protectant/are careful.

I was a little confused about the sizing after reading so many reviews of this boot. I ordered my normal size (5.5) after speaking to the always helpful customer service staff at Zappos. Other than a little stretching in the width by my shoemaker, the boots fit just fine and I love the dark brown color. They look cool with short denim skirts and of course skinny jeans! Thanks Zappos:)

These are my first Frye boots and they are sexy, comfy and versatile, just what I wanted. However, I think the leather seems a little thin, it scuffs easily (black) and the rubber soles don't seem very sturdy. I'll be surprised if they last a couple of years. I'm keeping them because they're flattering (I have chunky calves but slim ankles/feet so I ordered 1/2 size up, not extended calf, and can tuck jeans in) but just ordered a pair of Campus 14Ls looking for the famous Frye quality that will last 10 years. The Veronica was nice and soft from the first day. I wear them with Smartwool socks most of the time, and need a sock with tights to keep the ankle from being too loose.

I love these boots! I'm 5’2” and it's pretty hard finding boots that aren't too tall for me. These are a perfect height. I do agree with other reviewers that these boots are TOUGH to get on initially, but once on they fit great. I would suggest sizing UP a half size, especially if you plan on wearing thick socks. If wearing no/thin socks, then ordering true to size would be ok.

Love these boots. If I hadn't read reviews of others saying they would stretch I probably would not have kept them. They have stretched, although it took a lot longer for the right foot!? Right still not quite as comfortable as left, and I don't think it's my foot! I do have athletic calves and wish every boot manufacturer would think about all we women with this problem - Frye included. I can wear this boot with skinny jeans, but definitely no extra room!

Great looking boot! I found that it was a bit narrow and had to go up a size to be able to pull it on. But very comfortable and I wear a little thicker sock!

Love these boots. I have really narrow feet and ended up having to exchange them for a half size smaller. The heel slipped a little too much. Zappos is awesome with returns and I had the new pair within days. I can see why most would order true to size though. If my foot was of average width, I probably would have been fine. The front toe area is a little tight on top (not lengthwise) but this seems to be getting better over time. Overall, walked around DC in them all weekend and they were just fine. I was still able to wear thick socks and they weren't excessively tight.
