What I expected... These particular boots were sold out everywhere. Should have known that Zappos carried them in the most colors and sizes. My usual size is 9 but purchased a 9.5 which fit perfectly around my larger calf. Did not have to adjust the buckles at all. I believe that Frye's run slightly smaller and slimmer in general. I wore them for hours the first time very comfortably possibly due to the design of the sole. Also they arrived next day. Thanks, Zappos.

The perfect pair of boots - I had no problem getting these on and off, like some other reviewers. They run a little small-but will expand over time, like any leather product. They are super comfy and worth every penny. I would buy another pair of Frye boots in a heartbeat.

Frye fan forever - This is my first pair of Frye boots and I don't know how I lived without them. They are amazingly comfortable and high quality. I should have bought these when I was looking for brown boots last year. (I got Nicole Eclipse from Zappos, which are great for the price.) They are sexy tough and can be dressed up. I have average sort of calves and ankles and found these easy to slip on. I have widish 8.5 feet, the size 9 I bought fit perfectly with padded socks, which is how I'll wear these boots in winter.

Great Look - I love the look of these boots and they're comfortable too! At first I was unsure if I should go up a 1/2 size, but I bought my regular size and they fit just right. Fairly easy to put on and take off. I was always partial to the Frye calvary and harness boot styles but I like these just as much.

Awesome boots - I am usually a 9.5 or a 10 (mostly a 10). I got these in a 10 and they are perfect. I have wide calves and they fit great. The buckles are helpful to adjust fit. These look great tucked in jeans and will be trying other looks soon. Worth the price.

Perfection! This boot is absolutely beautiful. Very nice details, lovely workmanship, fits beautifully and well worth the money. I ordered my regular size and they fit with a midweight sock. Width is good, plenty of room in the calf. I have a mid to low arch and have no problem pulling them on (these are pull-ons, no zippers!)

My favorite boots ever! These are the greatest boots - cute and comfortable! I have a wide foot and these boots slip on very easily; it’s great that the buckles adjust. I love them!

GREAT FOR CHICKEN LEGS TOO :-) I am a true, average width, size 7 and that’s what I ordered. Maybe they've changed the boot since last year, but I had no trouble getting them on and off, with socks or without. My feet slid right in. They fit true to size for me. I was worried that the boot would be too big for my chicken calves and my even scrawnier ankles, but I tighten both buckles to the last notch and they look really great! This boot looks a LOT better in person. It’s definitely not butch at all; it's adorable! I bought the black and the leather is nice and buttery. 5 stars :-)

Mine are true to size - These boots are great. I bought my true size and they fit fine. No problem getting them on and off. Leather is soft not stiff. Highly recommend them.

Easy On/Easy Off - Just received my boots and contrary to popular belief, I had no problem putting them on or getting them off. As for my opinion of the boot overall, I will say that it is much more feminine looking on and in person than the picture depicts. The color is a rich reddish brown, which looks nice with virtually any color combination. I also think the straps add a nice decorative touch. As for size, to me they felt quite true, as I am typically a 10 ½ to 11 and these in size 11 fit quite nicely with just enough room for thicker socks. So far my test wear on the carpet in the office has been "thumbs up," but my final decision will not be made until I take them home and try them on with a few dresses and skirts.

Amazing hip boots! I've been on the waiting list for these boots since last fall so you can imagine how ecstatic I was when I finally got them delivered to my door step the very next day I ordered them. By the way, much kudos to Zappos double thumbs-up customer service! I would suggest buying half a size larger than your regular size. Otherwise, these boots weren't too hard to put on. They look FABULOUS and hip. Looks amazing with dresses, leggings, jeans...you name it. I have absolutely NO regrets investing extravagantly on these boots!!

True to size??? I had to return a 9.5 to get a 10 and then could only get the boots on wearing an opaque knee-hi (like a nylon knee-hi). I am not complaining though because for one, it fit and I believe is not available in a larger size than 10. For another, it looks and feels great! It is a beautiful boot, but try not to wear it with pants too much because it would cover up the top of the shaft.

Love this boot! I saw them and had to have them...as someone else wrote...not too butch...just perfect! Color is perfect, fit is perfect! Love this site, too! Ordered them one day, they came the next...can't beat it!

Cool boots and believe them about the size - The boots are way cool and you should definitely believe the company when the say to order up a half size. I wear a true 9 1/2 and the 10s are great. They're a bit wide in the heel, but I tend to have duck feet. It's easily solved by the adjustable buckle at the bottom of the boot. That was an added bonus, since I thought the top buckle was the only adjustable one. Enjoy them if you get them!!

DONT MISS OUT - Truly a comfortable pair of boots! If you hesitate on buying these, you will regret it. My foot slid right in and they felt like I’ve been wearing them for a year already! You can wear them with jeans, rolled up or down and they look really cute with a skirt, leggings or not. The leather is soft. They are just a great pair of boots. Don’t wait!!

Great boots! Contrary to what I had expected given other reviews, these boots were not as difficult to get on as I imagined since I have wide feet and large calves. There is plenty of room and the buckles at the top and the ankle make them very adjustable. I also have a pair of the Campus boots and these are even more comfortable. I was also afraid they would look too much like motorcycle boots, but they don't - they're just casual enough and easy to dress up. They're slim enough to look good with a skirt, but will also fit a pair of skinny jeans. I see myself wearing these all the time.

Frye Veronica Slouch - I was a little worried about purchasing these boots after reading how hard they were to put on and how tight they were for some but I got lucky! These boots felt fantastic right out of the box; they fit perfectly and took about 2 seconds to slide on. The color is wonderful and the leather is soft. I highly recommend these beauties.

Comfort and full of style - Very comfortable and stylish boots. It did come with a few scratches on one boot, but nothing that I won't do to it myself in a month after wear. Unbuckle bottom then feet slip right in. I had no trouble sliding these on as other reviews *8 1/2 size. I have slim calves so the top buckles allow me to take 'em in so it will contour to my legs. That was the most important factor in buying these boots. My legs don't feel lost in them like many boots. I would not wear too thick of socks with these it might be too tight, but it's really not necessary. The heel does slide a little, until I tighten the bottom buckles and it stopped sliding and after wearing em' for an hour the sliding went away. It will conform to your feet. I have yet to wear them for an extended time so we'll see if they are as comfortable as everyone says. I plan on working in these boots in the garden, walking and such. I am very pleased with the boots and would definitely like another Frye boot. Zappos customer service was very helpful as well. I had to change my shipping address so they managed to track the package and it was delivered to me no problem. It's very much appreciated. Enjoy!

Great boots! Terrific boots. Very well constructed (like all Frye boots). Yes, they are a little hard to pull on, but if you unbuckle the bottom buckle, it's fine - better than a lot of pull-on boots! I had purchased a lesser pair of boots, but soon realized that if you are going to buy a pair of boots, they really ought to be Frye's. I wear these all day, rain, snow, sleet, and they are perfectly comfortable and warm. Plus, they are obviously fantastic looking with jeans or a skirt.

Frye Veronica Slouch Boot - Love, love, love this boot! A bit pricey, but worth it. They are a bit of a challenge to get on and off because of the long shaft, and no zipper. You just have to shimmy in and out. I ordered a half size up on the advice of other reviews and they fit perfectly. The leather is soft and beautiful, the style a bit on the rugged side. This is my 2nd pair of Frye boots, the 1st having lasted many, many years. Zappos service...excellent, as usual!

Frye Veronica - I definitely wouldn't go for the smaller size unless you plan to wear them with thick socks. Yes, they are VERY hard to pull on--make sure you undo the buckles on the bottom--but once on they feel true to size. They are gorgeous boots--hands-down the best leather I've ever owned. I can tell that once I break them in they'll feel amazing, I'll probably wear them far, far too often.

Love them - I'm really happy with these boots, mainly because of the comfort. I wore these for three days on a weekend vacation, a lot of walking, and could not have been more comfortable if I'd worn sneakers. I do agree with other reviewers that they are a little hard to pull on, but I don't think it's a big deal. I have average-sized calves and can wear them with jeans tucked in. I love the heel height and the color. The brown is on the reddish side, it is typical of a Frye boot. In my case, they were a good buy; I've never spent so much on a pair of shoes, and I don't know if they look like a $300 boot, but I think they are beautiful and well-made. I'll wear them for years.

Frye Veronica Boots - Highly Recommended - I looked everywhere for these boots but could not find them in the right size and color. Zappos had one pair left in stock. Given the other reviews and the manufacturer's recommendation, I ordered a half size larger than my usual size. They were slightly roomy in the foot but nothing that could not be remedied by wearing thin socks. I had no trouble getting into the boots and therefore recommend going a half size up. Although I paid full price, I feel lucky to have them. These boots are a worthwhile investment!

So cute! Love this boot! It is difficult to get into them, but they are worth the trouble. They are very comfy. I'm definitely going to buy more Frye boots.
