These boots are a gorgeous color. However, just too western looking in person for my taste. Toe curls up too much, but the top buckle is adorable. I bought 1/2 larger like other reviewers had suggested and they were a little big, so I don't know that I would suggest going larger.

In my quest for a casual, knee high leather boot, I knew to start with Frye. I fell in love with the Veronica Slouch and first ordered the Black Calf Shine Vintage in my regular size, 7.5. They came, were beautiful, but way too tight on my right foot. I considered keeping them in hopes they would stretch, but with Zappos' liberal shipping, why not try an 8? In black, the Tumbled Full Grain was all that was currently in stock in that size so I ordered them. They came...perfection! Then I got notice that the Calf Shine Vintage in 8 was in stock. Decisions, decisions! I ordered them for comparison. They came, I walked all over my house, I stared in the mirror, I wore the right outfits and I settled on the Tumbled Full Grain. Love the worn look of the CS Vintage, but what will a worn-looking boot look like when it really is broken in? Tumbled Full Grain it is!

I love these boots. Unfortunately I didn't put any protectant on them because I didn't wear them in bad weather and I learned that if you accidentally brush the sole of one shoe against the boot it will leave a big black mark. I am super sad. They are awesome, just make sure you have protectant/are careful.

This boot will not disappoint for style. After reading the other reviews, I purchased my regular size and they fit perfect. This boot is made on the narrower side; so if you have a wider foot you may need to size up. When I first put them on they were a little snug across the top of the arch, but within a half-hour the leather softened and I was ready to go.

I totally love these boots. They just get more comfortable over time, and I always get compliments on them whenever I wear them. I hesitated about them because of the price, but I found them well worth the money. I will wear this classic boot for years and years.

I absolutely love Zappos! I originally ordered these boots online from Nordstrom in a size 8. It took over 2 weeks before I received them! When the boots arrived they were too big so I needed to send them back. When I looked online at Nordstroms again they were out of stock for 5weeks! I had never used Zappos before and they were awesome. I received them the next morning with free shipping. The boots are worth every penny but they run half a size too big.

The color variation on these slouchy Fryes are unique, artistic, and very fun to wear. When I wear them with a skirt or dress, I always get compliments on the boots. It looks great with heather gray tights. I can't wait to wear them in the Spring with white or gray skirts/pants.

I love these boots. The color, styling, height, support. Everything about them. 25 years from now, I'll still be wearing these boots! They are worth every penny!

These shoes are gorgeous! The color is beautiful and the leather is so soft and slouchy! I'm glad I read a few reviews beforehand about the sizing. I ordered 1/2 size bigger and they fit perfectly. If you have thicker calves, these boots may not be for you (I have athletic/toned calves and the boots are quite snug on me). I heard people complaining about the leather texture/quality of one boot being different, but mine are perfectly fine. As for comfort, these are one of the most comfy pairs of shoes I have ever worn. I will be purchasing another pair of Veronicas in either black or brown.

These boots are very comfortable right out of the box. The leather is so soft and they are very versatile. I wear them with leggings, dresses, jeans and skirts. I am between a 5 1/2 and a 6 but ordered the 5 1/2 after reading other reviews, and they fit well. I am 5' 1'' and they hit a few inches below my knee which is perfect. The only thing I don't like is that when I wear dresses/skirts, the buckle sometimes bothers me if I cross my legs. I'm sure I'll get used to them.

These boots are very comfortable after a few wears. I love that the boots aren't stiff, but still don't appear "slouchy" as their name would imply.

I was a little confused about the sizing after reading so many reviews of this boot. I ordered my normal size (5.5) after speaking to the always helpful customer service staff at Zappos. Other than a little stretching in the width by my shoemaker, the boots fit just fine and I love the dark brown color. They look cool with short denim skirts and of course skinny jeans! I really wanted to like these. But alas, it was not to be. Tight everywhere. I tried the next 2 sizes up and still it was very tight at the top of the foot (area under the strap/buckle). Ended up going with the Clarks Orinocco's instead. Otherwise, the boot is gorgeous & has a certain edgy-ness to it. I'm bummed it didn't work out.

Beautiful boots. Calf is a little wider than expected. I bought a half size up. I wear a 9 and bought 9.5. They fit good and I could wear them without having to break them in. I would recommend them to anyone.

These are my first Frye boots and they are sexy, comfy and versatile, just what I wanted. However, I think the leather seems a little thin, it scuffs easily (black) and the rubber soles don't seem very sturdy. I'll be surprised if they last a couple of years. I'm keeping them because they're flattering (I have chunky calves but slim ankles/feet so I ordered 1/2 size up, not extended calf, and can tuck jeans in) but just ordered a pair of Campus 14Ls looking for the famous Frye quality that will last 10 years. The Veronica was nice and soft from the first day. I wear them with Smartwool socks most of the time, and need a sock with tights to keep the ankle from being too loose.

Love this boot. Looks great and is totally comfy. Fits like my other Frye's. I wear an 8 in street shoes and an 8.5 in sneakers. 8 fits perfectly...roomy enough for thicker socks. No problem tucking pants in, plus the buckle is adjustable on the side. Would buy them in more colors for sure.

I have been wanting these for a couple of months and I finally took the plunge! So worth it! These boots are hot! Comfortable, stylish, they look good! I have narrow feet so I ordered my regular size, if your feet are not narrow, size up!

I had originally received the 12R Engineers as a gift, but they were shorter than I had wanted, and also a little bit too "motorcycle"; I did an exchange over the phone yesterday at 5pm, and they were at my door by 1:30pm today! I love Zappos, they are the best company ever! Now on to the boots - I love these. I was a bit nervous after reading reviews that I wouldn't be able to get them on. I wouldn't exactly say they went on easily, but it wasn't really that difficult either, and I was wearing athletic socks. I am usually 7 in most shoes, so I ordered a 7 in these. I have had trouble with boots fitting on my calf in the past, but these fit just fine. There isn't much room to spare, but I think I can get jeans and definitely leggings in there. They fit great in the footbed too, I can tell they are going to be really comfortable. I can't wait to wear them!

These were my Christmas gift. I have been wanting them since the summer. Originally I got the 8 extended calf. They were really tight. I am a true 8. Ordered 8 1/2 regular width, the fit was perfect but I still wanted a little more room to tuck my boots in. Get a 1/2 size larger. So two pairs sent back. Today I finally got my 8 1/2 extended calf and I love them. Totally worth the wait.

I love these boots! They were comfortable from the very first time I wore them. I went up to an 11 since they are not available in a 10.5. I have a narrow foot, but I wanted to be able to wear chunky socks with them. They fit perfectly! Gorgeous leather! The calves are really roomy. I have fairly small legs, and I did have to adjust the calf buckle to the smallest but that helped a lot. I love how they look and love these shoes!

I wanted these boots for so long & when I finally got them I was disappointed in the quality. I have a couple other pairs of Frye boots & the quality & construction is excellent. However, the Veronicas are strange. They are a gorgeous style, but the leather is noticeably different in texture on both boots and the left boot is looser and slouches more than the right. I thought I had just gotten a defective pair, but I tried a second pair and although they were a bit better, they still had the same issues. This is absolutely unacceptable in such an expensive pair of boots. Too bad, because the style is super hot.

These boots are just perfect. I feel like I have been searching for the perfect boot for years and finally found it. The quality and leather are great. Definitely worth the extra money. I have gotten so many compliments on these boots. I think they run a little large - I am usually between an 8.5 and 9 and got the 8.5 because the 9 felt huge and gaped on my calf. The 8.5 has a perfect snug fit.

Returned them for the Veronica Slouch, which I loved (!) but was told to go 1/2 size bigger (8) and they were huge. Returned 8 and went to 7 1/2, thinking I maybe should have done a 7, but in meantime they came (great service) and my right foot was quite snug! Unbelievable. The 8 was about 1 1/2 inches too long and the 7 1/2 almost too tight. I have a wide foot. I am wearing them around the house and today will be the 3rd time I put my foot in the boot and it's stretching and feeling like it will be perfect. Glad this shopping adventure is over, but I have to say I'm very pleased with my purchase so far.
