These are pure love...I'm in love with the Taupe Veronica Slouch. They were a teeny bit too tight to begin with but once I got my foot in them and walked around the house a bit, they stretched out and now I know they'll be perfect for the winter with wool heavy socks. They just are simply beautiful. I had bought two different styles and am in the process of returning the other style cause I think I'm going to get a 2nd pair of these.

I love these boots. You can tighten the upper buckle & wear like a riding boot or loosen & get more slouch. Typical of the Frye name - quality construction at a great price. You can't go wrong with these!

I ordered these in sand. The color was exactly what I was looking for. However, the leather quality not so much. Very thin compared to other Fryes I own. Also, foot bed was not 1 piece of leather so that when taking boot on & off the leather pulled up. These were also not made in USA. Fit true to size & still a very nice boot - just not what I was looking for.

Frye has a fantastic reputation for their boots, but Yuck! What were the designers thinking? I ordered the Veronica slouch in stone wash and it wasn't what I expected. They looked really cute online but in person, it's another story. I am pretty thin so that might be part of the problem. The boot was really big on my calves. They kind of looked like rainboots/fire men boots! And the stone wash looked like someone threw them down a quarry and let them sit for 30 years! I'm into vintage style but this was beyond vintage or worn looking. Comfortable boot, true to size but I sent them right back to Zappos.

Lovely boots! I own these in 3 colors all size 8, except the stone stonewash which is an 8 1/2. The black tumble full grain is the softest and when you fold the top over it's black unlike the black distressed which is off white distressed leather on the inside. I find the cognac stonewash is my favorite! They are a rugged look but the color variation is so very rich and beautiful in tone. The stone stonewash are a little harder to get on but just as comfy as the others, get at least 1/2 size up on those. I am 5'4 110 mega skinny legs and bony feet these boots do not fit my calves tight yet they are not swimming either. Heel slips in all just a little. I cuff them to the max some days, other days I wear them tall. I wear them with beautiful dresses, skirts, or cut offs. Very versatile. Love the softness. I am a hair stylist on my feet all day my shoes must be comfy, fun, and made well. These are! Zappos I love you! All companies should learn from you! You rock! Thank you!

The ankle area was so stiff that it was difficult to put my foot in the boot and take it out. Great looking but the fit was too snug for me.

Love these boots. I'm 5'3" and have 14.5" calves, and wear a 7.5. These fit true to size, are a great height, and fit my calves perfectly over tights (I don't wear boots over pants because they never fit). I travel a lot and have been looking for the perfect boot to wear for running through airports. I'd resorted to wearing FitFlop boots, but they don't look that great with a dress and I had to bring a pair to change into. I have other Frye boots (Paige Loop riding boots and some Danikkas) that are dressier and have a leather lining; these are definitely more casua, but not quite as casual as the true engineer boots. Note: the video says they are fully lined with leather - they are not fully lined like the Paige or Dannika. However, they are super comfy, with a more comfortable footbed and fit than the Paige. I'm thinking about getting another pair in dark brown (I got the basic black).

Very comfortable. Strong. Ages and becomes distressed looking fairly quickly, which is good.

I just received these boots in the Dark Brown Calf Shine Vintage Leather. They are gorgeous, they fit like a glove I am a true 8.5 and that's exactly what I ordered. The leather is beautiful, they slipped right on with ease. I like the light slouchy feel. They still stand up but fall in the perfect vintage way. This is my second pair of Frye's and I plan I ordering another pair - the Paige. Frye is amazing quality, like they say, you get what you pay for. Well done Frye!

I ordered these in size 8.5 + 9.0, both were very comfortable. There is variation of the amount of contrasting colors between each pair. I kept the pair with the most stone wash

These boots are beautiful in person. My 15" calves seem to fit nicely, but skinny jeans seem out of question. Unfortunately one of the boots had a spot and was too narrow for my wide foot and arch. So I have to return these and hope that another pair will be more roomy on my feet.

These are the best casual flat black boots. Super cute with skinny jeans and dresses...and even short shorts! They're feminine enough to pull off and talk about comfy. They are totally worn in and perfect on day three (and even day one, they're not too shabby). Frye boots are where it's at. And getting them from Zappos is a plus because you know you can make sure you have the right fit. Get 'em!

I have a wide foot, and a large calf. These boots do fit; however, they are a bit uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. That aside...I love these boots! They are so sexy, and I get compliments every time I wear them. They have worked in a bit since I first got them, but in all reality, my foot is too wide for them to be perfect. I am not at all unhappy with my purchase even though they cause me some discomfort (only sometimes) and I do wear them for 8 hours a day when I wear them at work. The heel is the perfect height for me being on my feet all day. I suggest to anyone considering these...buy them. You wont regret it! And my calves fit no problem in them (thanks to the adjustable straps). Do it!

I'm 5'5 and wear a size 7.5 to 8 in shoes/heels. I ordered the Stone Wash in a size 7.5 and they fit perfectly and were very easy to take on and off and not like some of my other Frye boots! And was extremely impressed with Zappos next day shipping. I'm not as impressed with the quality of the boots but they are definitely very cute (I felt like I was wearing rain boots but they don't look like rain boots! thank goodness). I love, love love the color and how unique the stone wash is. I will be keeping the shoes and wearing them as much as possible this summer! :)

I was disappointed. The boots I got were much shinier than the photo and the leather is quite thin. I do not love these boots.

I was so sad to send these back. They are very well made and nice looking, just didn't look right on me.

This is my 4th pair of the Veronica Slouch boots, and I would have to say my absolute favorite color. Unfortunately, the sizing is off. All my Frye boots are size 8 and all have been a perfect fit so there was no reason for me to think these would be any different. Wrong! Be sure to try every pair of boots on and walk around the house to make sure the sizing is correct. I didn't with these and now I'm stuck with a very expensive pair of boots that I can't wear. :-(

So loose that I thought they looked a bit like rain boots out of leather, super awkward to figure out what to wear with them. Great quality, good construction and materials. Fit wide feet great.

I tried 3 different pairs of Frye boots and love these. I am a 6.5 and ordered that size, they were a little tight to start but I kept them and they have loosened out. Zappos free overnight shipping is awesome! I love my boots!

I love these boots! They don't need a whole lot of breaking in, and Zappos had the best deal, even better than my discount through work. Much better, in fact. I receive so many compliments on my Frye boots. So unique, so well-made!

I own the Veronica Slouch in Cranberry, Slate and Black. I had to have them in stone-washed and I agree with some of the other comments. Whereas my other Veronica's slip on and off very easily, these stone-washed Veronica's are very tough to get on. Once on, I find the fit to be comparable to all of my others. They are absolutely gorgeous, unique boots in the stonewash!

Boots fit great, felt great, but the color was a little too pinky for me, so I went with the smoky brown. Love this style!

Love the boots! They can go from casual to dressy and have that rugged look I love. You def need to wear a thicker sock as the sole is hard and thin socks will make your foot ache other than that totally worth the money.

I'm pretty short (5'3") and I wanted a boot that wasn't too tall. The shaft height on this boot is perfect! They are extremely comfortable right out of the box and look great. I get tons of compliments - a couple of people actually went out a got a pair after seeing mine.
