These aren't as comfortable as my other Birks. I've only tried to wear them once and the leather back rubs. The next time I wear them I plan to wear longer socks to prevent the rubbing. Hopefully, after a few times of wearing them the leather will soften and they will stop rubbing.

These look ok, still kind of frankensteinish, but can be worn to work. Without looking sloppy. These shoes are hard and the toe lines aren't the same imprint as my actual toes. I do not recommend.

This should is basically a hybrid between the eyesore styling of Crocs and the durable industrialism of Dr. Martens. I own one pair in brown and one pair in black, and I generally wear them in the office with dress slacks, dress shirt, argyle socks, and a tie. While they\'re extremely comfortable, as are all Birkenstock shoes, they are hideous to look at, and I\'m surprised so many have said otherwise here. They look almost identical to Crocs, the bane of stylish footwear. In fact, on the first day I wore my Birkenstock Londons, I had two separate people comment to me that they didn\'t realize Crocs made leather shoes, and they were serious.\r\n\r\nMy suggestion: If you want Birkenstock comfort with at least a modicum of style, go for the Birkenstock Alabama. It is a true closed shoe with Birkenstock soles. The London is a sort of clog/sandal hybrid.

STINKY. They don't breathe well thus causing stinky feet with or without socks...but as always for a Birk, they are very comfortable.

Shoes for pregnancy -
My husband is a chef and has these and thought they were real comfortable. I was looking for a shoe to wear @ work while pregnant that would make my feet feel better. Well...while walking they are great! However, when standing my heels were still hurting. There is plenty of room for swelling which helps @ the end of the day. As far as the appearance, a little manly :)

Birkenstock's London Shoe -
I've heard all about Birkenstock shoes, but have never owned a pair before. A co-worker told me they get more comfortable the longer you wear them. Right now, I find them to be very hard on my feet. I have to wear an insert in order to soften them up some.

I wanted to love these but they slip on my heel regardless of what I do. I feel like they’re about 1/2 larger than my sandals.

These shoes looked really good, but the fit was off-too big. Also, they were really difficult to put on. The leather was so stiff that I couldn't put the strap into the buckle without major stress. I think they might have broken in after a year or two, and would probably last for about thirty years, but I'm not that patient.

I absolutely love the way these shoes look. Unfortunately, they were so incredibly stiff that I could barely get my foot inside the shoe, and definitely not with a sock. The fit was great once I had the shoe on, but I don’t think the leather will give much, even after many, many wears. It’s just too stiff and too difficult to get on, so back they went.

Way too big, so disappointed. Shoe size is normally 6.5 but I was walking out of these!

Will be sending it back, the width of the shoe was not wide enough. Was extremely tight around the mid-foot, even with the buckle unfastened. The length of the shoe was just fine. Not good for fat flat feet. I was extremely excited to get them in the mail, disappointed that it didn't fit me.

I wanted a closed toe and back Birkenstock. I ordered a 43 because I wear a women's 12. I don't think they are stylish but I shop for comfort first. I have a high arch so the tongue rubbed the top of my foot and the top of the material in the back rubbed my heel. I had to return but will order the closed toe style that is backless for comparison fit. I appreciate Zappo's free shipping and return policy because it is hard to find my size in shoes

These would have been perfect except that the heels were way too loose, nothing I could fix with thicker socks. I need the wide toe box because of foot problems, and the narrow width in the London fit beautifully except I couldn't keep the shoes on because the heels were so wide. My feet slipped around at the heel even with the buckles as tight as they would go. Nothing against Birkenstock....I always have this issue with any brand of shoes. Tightly-laced sneakers seem to be my only option, and luckily Zappos always supplies me with my favorite New Balance 928's. Sadly, my foray into Birkenstock world is a bust.

Unfortunately, Birkenstock is making their Regular Width shoes more narrow and they don't fit a truly wide width with thick instep the way they did in the past. Too bad because Birkenstock was one of the few shoe manufacturers which made shoes wide enough for my feet. Some folks have extra wide feet because we were born with them, not because we are overweight. We get left out 95% of the time by shoe manufacturers.

I really wanted to love these shoes. I have 5 pair of Birks sandals and live in them all summer. I wanted a closed shoe to wear in the winter and the London seemed to fit the bill. The fit of these is so odd. The back slides off my heel like a clog, the tab on the back digs into my ankle at a high spot, and the arch support is a weird bump that hit the ball of my foot instead of my arch. They do not fit anything like any of my other Birks. Sadly these are going back and my hunt for supportive winter shoes continues...

These were everything they should be. They were honestly just too ugly for words, and I wasn’t expecting much in that dept. my quest for winter Birks continues.

My toes would occasionally bump in to the front of the shoe as I walked around my house. I also found them to be lacking support. I read reviews that stated these shoes are perfect once they are broken in. Unfortunately, I don't have the budget to risk losing $170 on a pair of shoes if they don't work out.

This ran small for me. I could barely get my foot in. I wear a size 12 usually. It was not comfortable at all for my feet.

I live in the land of snow and slush and was hoping to find a Birkenstock style I could wear during winter. After reading many reviews I did order a size up in the London style. I had to use a shoe horn to get the shoe on but once it was on my foot it was too large. The style was good, just like a Boston, which I love but with a back to protect your socks from getting wet in the snow. I unfortunately returned because for the price they just did not fit well enough.

The good: Everything I love about my Birk slip-ons are true of these shoes. Excellent build quality, support, and comfort. The bad: the footbed in both London models is suede. I bought this as a work shoe where socks are required. I was expecting a smooth leather footbed that I could slide my feet/socks into easily. With the suede my socks bunch up and it takes a while for them to straighten out. If I had it to do over, I would not buy these shoes because of the fundamental design flaw. I tried them barefoot and my feet turned black with dye. Eventually they'll be fine, but I'm not a happy camper at the moment. Please note this is not Zappos fault; this is a Birkenstock problem. I could have sent them back, but I didn't have any other good alternative, so I kept them.

Hoping these would be as comfortable as my sandals, not even close. On my left foot which is smaller shoe was loose on tightest strap setting. On right foot the opposite, way to tight on loosest setting. The reason I bought from Zappos, easy returns.

I think I liked them but needed a half size. 39 was to small and 40 was to big. I had to send them back darn it anyway. I bought the Birkenstock Boston instead.

My husband liked the look of these shoes. These Birko Flors have extremely high arch support that was painful for him to wear. Exact quote: "It feels like one of those Skechers shoes built to rock your feet." He is not a fan.

I bought these shoes about 8 months ago and loved them immediately. The color and fit were great. After a few months, they were a little scuffed up and scratched. I wasn't sure how to do that so I contacted Birkenstock. Their customer representative said to use saddle soap or take it to a Birkenstock repair retailer. I used saddle soap and it turned the shoes dark charcoal. Upset that I had possibly ruined my shoes, I brought them to the local repair shop. All they suggested to do was use black cream shoe polish because there really as no way to bring the original color back. Now I have a black pair of clogs, which I don't like as much. Disappointed because these shoes were really cute (and pretty expensive!).
