Great shoe! Found this shoe in Academy but they did not carry the extra wide. Ordered this shoe on Monday, received it 3 PM Tuesday! It does seem to run 1/2 size small, but ordered accordingly and got a good fit.

Cool shoes for look and comfort - I bought a size 13B which is impossible to find. I not only found these but also another pair that I love just as much. These are better looking though than the others.

Excellent!!! Excellent all around walking shoe. Highly recommended. Very comfortable. Excellent arch support. Excellent cushioning for your metatarsals. Extremely light. All qualities I need in a shoe but very rarely find all at once. I hope this style is around for a long time since I will be buying another pair next year!

Bought a second pair - Great shoes. I'm on my feet all day for work and have some serious foot problems. I bought another pair as soon as I wore them for a few days. I'll rotate them daily.

As always great - As always the shipping was super fast, the shoes are just fabulous, water proof is what I needed this time...

Very comfortable shoes, sturdy and well made and good looking. Good heel support and cushioning.

Makes my feet sweat - The shoe fits great, but the ventilation is poor. It's a cold-weather shoe, because it warm weather the shoes make my feet sweat.

5th pair - This is the 5th pair of these shoes that sweetie has. He is on his feet all the time, in mud or concrete, these feel great.

Love this shoe! I have big feet that are fairly wide with super high arches. From the first day I wore them they fit so comfortably I wore them all day and didn't even notice.

Good work shoes as well as casual - These shoes are very comfortable and good looking as well.

Favorite Casual Shoes - I purchased a 12 wide for my husband, who says they are incredibly comfortable from the first time he put them on. He wears these with jeans or shorts. Definitely a nice change of pace wearing the standard white tennis shoe. He is brand loyal when it comes to New Balance for tennis and walking shoes, because New Balance has always come through when it comes to the comfort of his feet.

A Great Walking Shoe! Comfortable from the first step, this shoe features a stiffer sole than athletic shoes and is wide enough to allow the last mile to be as easy as the first. The waterproofing was a major selling feature for me as well.

Nice Chunky Shoe - A good shoe so far. Chunkier and a little bit heavier than I expected, but not uncomfortably so. A good sturdy hiking.

Excellent work/hiking shoe - Nice and light in weight, comfortable fit...suitable for hiking or work, good looking enough for casual wear...reasonable price.

Better 'n my bunny slippers! The 965s, like my 964s before them, are simply the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. I walk five miles a day (uphill both ways, of course) and hike with Scouts, and my 964s lasted for over 18 months of heavy abuse. I highly recommend these shoes.

Every male I've shown this to loves it! This shoe looks really nice and the fit is extremely comfortable. I bought it for my husband and now every other male in my family wants a pair.

Excellent shoe - These shoes are well worth the price! For a casual walking/hiking shoe they are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, it's almost as if they were custom made for me. I did experiment a little bit with the size and lacing, but once I had them “Dialed In” they are great. I have worn New Balance for the past 15 years and I will never wear anything else!

Walking on a Cloud - I have terrible feet and have to wear orthodics all the time. This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The way the sole is constructed, it is like walking on a cloud. The only down-side to the shoe is that if you do a lot of pavement walking, they will wear out more quickly than your average walking shoe.

Comfy walkers - I really like these shoes. Once I got the lacing adjusted correctly they felt comfortable. VERY sturdy shoes. Seem to be well built. I do agree with the others who said the tongue was a little uncomfortable. It was - but I have gotten used to it. It isn't uncomfortable when you’re walking and it seems to me that is what really counts. It can be uncomfortable when sitting - at a desk for example - with feet propped on the casters of my chair so the instep is bent towards the shin. This drives the tongue into the instep/ankle. It really isn't that big a deal though once you get the shoe "dialed in." I look forward to a nice walk... These shoes "squeak." It isn't a structural problem though. I took them off and experimented with them to make sure. Also rotated/extended my foot while sitting (no pressure on shoe) - turns out it is simply the tongue rubbing against the material above it where the eyelets are installed. Just the nature of that particular material. Not really a big deal.

Great fit. I have just purchased the second pair. In 47 years, I can't remember shoes that were more comfortable. I commute by train, and have a walk of about 1-1/2 miles at each end. When these wear out, I'll buy again.

Solid - Good looking good fit out of the box. This replaces my previous 964’s and is no disappointment. Short break in period required before long outdoor activity. Good price, New Balance quality.

Great shoe - Very happy with shoe, great size, correct width.

Excellent shoe - Nice shoe. Nice cross between a low hiking boot and walking shoe. Highly recommend.

John Barrick - The shoe is a little high under the ankle bone, there fore I had to put a thick inlay plus my custom inserts in the shoe making for a very good fit. I am very pleased with the fit of the shoes.
